    Warehouse Machine Operator (Centurion)

    Description

    • The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and retrieval of stock within the Distribution Centre (DC). This role is critical for ensuring the accurate fulfillment of customer and store orders, utilizing specialized material handling equipment (MHE) and mobile scanning technology.

    Requirements

    Key Responsibilities

    Materials Handling & Operation:

    • Safely and efficiently operate Forklifts, Reach Trucks, and Skid Steer Loaders to move products throughout the warehouse, including loading, offloading, stacking, and internal transfers.
    • Conduct pre-shift MHE checks and report any defects immediately to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
    • Ensure proper stacking and storage of goods to maximize space utilization and prevent damage.

    Order Picking and Fulfillment:

    • Execute order picking and replenishment tasks using mobile technology (e.g., handheld scanners), ensuring 100% accuracy in stock identification and quantity.
    • Meet daily picking and put-away targets (KPIs) as set by the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and supervisors.
    • Assist in cycle counting and inventory verification as required.

    Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety protocols, including speed limits, traffic flow, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area to minimize hazards.

    Requirements of the job:

    • Matric Certificate or equivalent
    • 2-5 years of experience operating MHE in a high-volume warehouse or Distribution Centre.
    • Must possess one or more valid and current Machine Handling Equipment (MHE) licenses recognized under South African law (e.g., Department of Labour or accredited institutions) for the operation of: Forklift, Reach Truck and Skid Steer Loader (Bobcat or similar).
    • Proof of competency and license validity will be required.
    • Meet the demands posed by internal and external customers.
    • Knowledge and involvement in the processes of management control.

    Skills and Attributes:

    • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
    • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Physical fitness and the ability to stand, lift, and maneuver stock for extended periods.

    Warehouse Clerk (Centurion)

    Description

    • The Warehouse Clerk ensures accuracy and efficiency across Receiving, Picking, Inventory, and Dispatch processes. Working closely with LLS supply chain teams, you will drive process improvements, support operations, and foster a culture of performance. Success depends on maintaining strong collaboration with managers and heads of department.

    Main responsibilities: 

    • Animate, monitor and improve daily stock management processes (permanent inventory, out of stock)
    • Assist every department to improve their stock availability
    • Defining relevant settings to guarantee constant stock for the impulsive commerce
    • Be a player in the development of collective performance.
    • Share information and facilitate communication within the team.
    • Introduce efficiency, improvement measures
    • Develop and update your own skills and knowledge.
    • Assume leadership role on behalf of the HOD when the HOD is not available.
    • Participate in teamwork to ensure quality service and productivity of the  LLS.
    • Ensuring optimal staff is available for delivering excellent customer service to all customers.
    • Training and developing of staff members.

    Requirements
