    Copywriter

    ABOUT THE ROLE 

    • As a Copywriter you’ll use your strong copywriting and editorial skills to create content that brings to life our positioning and fuels thought leadership, drives engagement and generates inbound leads to build the sales pipeline.  A portfolio of written work that demonstrates your abilities is a must-have for this role.

    Regional Sales Manager

    ABOUT THE ROLE 

    • You will own and drive the direct to consumer / B2C revenue streams for HyperionDev and university partner course programmes globally, and lead a number of teams to ensure this scales. You will take ownership of our B2C admissions strategy, manage and improve our processes for engaging and closing applicants (our leads), and craft strategies for revenue enhancement which include unlocking new channels of facilitating student payments through student loan financing, whilst at the same time protecting the brands of the university partners we work for in pursuing this strategy. As a member of the management at HyperionDev, you will work within the management team to help in building, influencing and managing the culture of the organisation.
    • As we rapidly expand into new international territories on the back of a successful fundraise and new partnerships with universities in 7 countries, you will work on solving the complexities of scaling an edtech sales team out of South Africa to convert and enrol students in multiple markets. You will set up and own KPIs for your department, forecast admissions and revenues based on the pipeline for business planning, and work with the CEO and management team on strategic planning. You will also work with Marketing to iterate upon our understanding, tracking and generation of quality leads. 
    • You will manage and build further our Admissions and Student finance and Student teams, setting weekly and monthly targets, and enabling a positive, motivated and productive culture within your department. You will plan your team’s growth, evolution and hiring blueprint. You will draw upon your sales experience and analytical skills to improve our lead to sale conversion ratios and ensure that lead generation spend is optimised by having a data-driven, people-forward approach.
    • To succeed in this role, you must have a proven track record of coaching and leading direct to consumer admissions / sales team (experience in education/ tech will be advantageous), experience in the management team of an organisation, excellent communication skills, an excellent understanding of technology, and a track record of exceeding targets with sales teams headed by yourself.     • Set, monitor, and meet quarterly revenue targets across direct to consumer product lines

    • At least 2 years of experience owning KPIs and metrics for a direct to consumer sales teams reporting to you
    • Knowledge of the online education industry

    REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum:

    • Minimum 3 years corporate solution sales experience, preferably into the technology client space.
    • Proven experience selling digital skills programmes or corporate training solutions to enterprise-level employers.
    • Strong track record in initiating high-level contacts and delivering compelling presentations to close sales with senior decision-makers.
    • Creativity and ingenuity in developing successful sales strategies; have a working knowledge of the industry along with a pulse on what is forthcoming
    • Ability to generate leads and build a pipeline in a dynamic and expanding market.

    ABOUT THE ROLE 

    • As the Paid Media Lead, you will lead our efforts in both learner acquisition and revenue generation, combining the strategic oversight of marketing with a deep focus on performance and admissions. This role requires a dynamic leader who can bridge the gap between marketing and sales, ensuring that all activities are aligned towards driving growth across all learner acquisition channels.

    Head of Finance

    ABOUT THE ROLE 

    • As the Head of Finance at HyperionDev you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company. 
    • In this role you will take ownership of financial & investment planning and will oversee our financial planning and budgeting, report and present results to our investors, and ensure financial controls to support the optimal deployment of funds. Furthermore, you will lead the Finance team with regards to all financial reporting and analysis of the business, reporting to the Board, preparations of financials for management or audit, budgeting and forecast modelling, supporting compliance, cost analysis and management, tax management, and managing payments to suppliers. 
    • You will also provide the CEO strategic support in fundraising, investor meetings, and investment due diligence.
    • The team is supported by an external accounting firm/specialist where needed, and a Wellness division assisting with payroll and budgeting to ensure that the internal systems of a high-growth tech support scale. 
    • This is a unique opportunity to join one of the largest education technology startups in Africa and directly support our management team is key decision making. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conducting risk management assessments and implementing relevant plans and controls to mitigate risk
    • Managing the Finance Team to ensure smooth running
    • Delegating financial tasks and accounting activities within the finance team
    • Managing accounting teams and the finance department/ensuring smooth running
    • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and ensuring team members comply with regulations

    • At least 4 years of management accounting experience
    • At least 4 years of experience leading an internal finance team overseeing payroll, reporting and the like 
    • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in finance and accounting 
    • Experience working in a fast moving, fast growing organisation
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
    • High level of planning and organisation skills
    • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information

    Preferred 

    • At least 2 years of experience in tech scaleup fundraising on a debt, equity, or secondaries basis either as part of team raising substantial capital (>£5mil + ) or leading such a team or function Experience in exchange control regulations and the South African Reserve Bank
    • Experience and understanding of South African VAT and compliance regulations 
    • At least 2 years of experience working in tax law and/or equivalent experience in advising on corporation tax structuring and compliance with HMRC tax regulations in international group structures
