    Country Club Manager - Greytown

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Day-to-day Management of the Clubhouse:

    • Oversee the daily operations, ensuring that all facilities are functioning smoothly.
    • Coordinate with staff to maintain cleanliness, security, and overall functionality.
    • Address any immediate issues or concerns that arise.

    Financial Management and Creditor Payments:

    • Keep accurate records of all financial transactions related to the clubhouse.
    • Monitor income (membership fees, event revenue, etc.) and expenses (utilities, repairs, supplies).
    • Ensure timely payment of creditors (vendors, service providers, etc.).

    Member Account Management and Queries:

    • Maintain member records, including contact information, membership status, and payment history.
    • Assist members with inquiries, requests, and account-related issues.
    • Provide excellent customer service to enhance member satisfaction.

    Bar and Kitchen Management:

    • Supervise bar operations, including inventory management, ordering supplies, and staff scheduling.
    • Monitor stock levels, rotate inventory, and handle any discrepancies.
    • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food service and quality.

    Building Maintenance:

    • Regularly inspect the clubhouse building for wear and tear.
    • Schedule repairs, maintenance, and upgrades as needed.

    Squash Court Maintenance:

    • Ensure the squash courts are well-maintained, clean, and safe.
    • Schedule routine inspections, repairs, and court resurfacing.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Computer Literacy:

    • Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
    • Ability to manage digital records, financial spreadsheets, and communication tools.
    • Familiarity with club management software or willingness to learn.

    People Skills:

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to build positive relationships with club members, staff, and vendors.
    • Conflict resolution and customer service experience.

    Systems-Driven Approach:

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to implement and follow established systems and procedures.
    • Experience in optimizing processes for efficiency.
    • Accommodation, including water and electricity is available.

    Starke Ayres: National Credit Manager - Cape Town

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Control credit facilities granted to customers and the timeous collection of debts within the prescribed credit limits.
    • Leading, motivating, and managing the credit control team in order to achieve collections targets.
    • Overseeing the effective collection of company debt.
    • Managing and monitoring ongoing risk on accounts and managing relationships with clients in order to reduce exposure to potential bad debt.
    • Handles all legal requirements pertaining to bad debts. 
    • Prepares and submits debtors reports on a monthly basis.
    • Monitoring, implementation and maintenance of Credit Risk Policies and Procedures including FICA compliance.
    • Maintains a complete and accurate statement of outstanding debtors and provides complete forecast information to assist the management of revenue cycle. 
    • Oversee the reconciliation of all major retailers, commercial seed customers and international customers.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Credit Management Diploma / B.Com with 7 to 10-year credit experience with 3+ years’ in a Management role essential.
    • Extensive experience in retail is essential.
    • Practical accounting knowledge: accounts payable/ receivable ledger knowledge to process and reconcile debtor payments.
    • General Ledger systems and AR Ledger systems experience required.
    • Experience in both the Agricultural sector as well as the FMCG sector will be a distinct advantage.
    • Excellent computer skills (Excel – Advanced essential)
    • Sage X3 experience will be an added advantage.
