    Learner Data Capturer (PPPrev) Mthatha

    Purpose of the position:

    • The Data Capturer supports the Data Quality Officer and M&E coordinator in capturing and consolidating facility and partner data. The District Data Capturer is responsible for consolidating weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 (level 4) qualification and/or training in the HIV AIDS and STI programme
    • Must be over 18 years old and up to 24 years old
    • Must have background or an interest in HIV and public health
    • Needs to be self-motivated to attend all training sessions and required to complete assessments (portfolio work) for accredited training.
    • Must reside in proximity of the identified health facility
    • Must have knowledge and be able to use MS Office
    • The ability to communicate in English and isiXhosa will be an advantage
    • Must have a clear criminal record

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Capturing and consolidating facility data
    • Ensures that all weekly, monthly and quarterly data is received, captured and consolidated
    • Update databases with weekly, monthly and quarterly data
    • Format and structure data according to requirements
    • Keep and maintain a register of who is responsible for data submission at each facility
    • Notify the M&E coordinator and other relevant staff if data is not submitted on time and keep record of all data submissions
    • Interact with colleagues and project management to ensure fulfilment of project objectives
    • Interact with Department of Health and THC staff to capture relevant subject-related information
    • Filing and administrative duties as required

    Learner Support Agent (LSA), PPPrev _ Tsolo

    Purpose of the position: 

    • The LSA will conduct mobilization and pre-vulnerability screening to identify the vulnerable AGYW and record on the case management register. Provide case management to all AGYW initiated on PrEP to promote continuation in care.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12/TVET college level 2 or Grade 10 with 1 year experience in HIV programmes 
    • Be between the ages of 18-35 years
    • Ability to communicate in English, IsiXhosa and other South African languages 
    • Driver’s license would be advantageous
    • HIV Counselling with be advantageous

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Create community awareness on issues affecting the lives of AGYW within their communities
    • Mobilise support for PrEP and PPPrev Programmes
    • Provide their peers with accurate information on HIV and AIDS
    • Educate their peers about their human rights, gender inequality and gender-based violence
    • Conduct mapping, with the guidance of the facilitator, to identify hots spots to mobilise AGYW for HIV prevention
    • Conduct pre-screening to identify vulnerable AGYW and hand hold to structural programmes.
    • Educate (AGYW & ABYM) about HIV and available prevention services including PrEP
    • Use recommended strategies to mobilise and recruit AGYW & ABYM for HIV prevention and ensure that daily mobilisation targets are met.
    • Record the mobilisation activities in the mobilization register.
    • Implement effective case management strategies in accordance with the case management standard operating procedures.
    • Provide face-to-face youth care clubs in accordance with the identified needs of the AGYW
    • Support the team in assessing the needs of youth in relation to HIV prevention, linkage to care and adherence to treatment
    • Receive weekly feedback on case management status from the facilitator
    • Attend training and workshops as part of staff development
    • Participate in interdisciplinary team and case review meetings
    • Recruit AGYW to youth care clubs
    • Submit monthly reports to the clinical trainer
    • Submit mobilisation and case management tools weekly to the Clinical Trainer.
