    Diesel/Petrol Technician - Kroonstad

    Job Description :

    Minimum Requirements:

    To qualify for consideration, the following requirements are essential:

    • Grade 12 qualification/ equivalent.
    • Qualified as Diesel/Petrol Technician.
    • A fully completed Diesel/ Petrol Trade Apprenticeship (MERSETA).
    • Minimum 2 years’ Diesel/Petrol Technician experience (Isuzu/Opel will be an advantage).
    • A valid South African driver's license (unendorsed) and own reliable transport.
    • Good verbal skills in Afrikaans and English.
    • Clean criminal record.

    Job Specification:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

    • Ensure sufficient productive hours are sold compared to productive hours available.
    • Ensure the preparation, servicing, and repairs of all vehicles within the workshop are done according to standard.
    • Comply to and implement the correct safety procedures when executing a specific task or job.
    • Utilise all required PPE equipment provided, including gloves, eye protection and safety shoes.
    • Provide a diagnostic service for workshop vehicles (e.g. steering, brakes, transmission, drive train, fuel systems, electronic components etc.).
    • Make use of modern diagnostic equipment to maximize effective vehicle service and to interpret findings.
    • Diagnose faults.
    • Service all required electronic equipment.
    • Ensure all work on job cards are completed to specification and recorded accurately.
    • Discuss and explain service details with customers as and when required.
    • Achieve a continuous high performance work ethic of detail and deadline orientation.
    • Ensure service comebacks are eliminated based on negligent work performed.
    • Provide technical and/ or non-technical assistance to the workshop staff.
    • Coach and train Dealer Repair Shop Assistants/ Apprentices.
    • Attend manufacturer qualified technical training, as and when required.
    • Keep updated with Isuzu and Opel Group required web-based training and external courses.
    • Attend general departmental meetings.
    • Maintain good housekeeping.
    • Ad hoc admin/ other responsibilities as and when required.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment plans.
    • Assist in recruitment efforts by coordinating job posting internally and externally on the relevant resourcing platforms
    • Reviewing and sending resumes and provide shortlists.
    • Scheduling interviews and facilitating communication with candidates and managers.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment.
    • Coordinate onboarding and orientation activities for new employees, including paperwork completion and orientation scheduling.

    Qualified CA (SA) M/F - Roodeport

    PURPOSE OF POSITION:

    • Support the Reporting, Finance and Tax function. Only qualified CA’s should apply.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Qualified CA(SA)
    • Minimum 1 year experience out of articles.
    • Technically sound with IFRS.
    • Experience in consolidations advantageous.
    • Strong interest in tax and SARS experience advantageous.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
    • Clean criminal record.
    • Advanced experience Microsoft Excel.
    • Must ideally reside in the Johannesburg area or be willing to move, remote working is not an option.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support the finance department in assessing new IFRS standards, develop accounting policies and manuals to facilitate adherence to IFRS.
    • Assisting in drafting of company financial statements in line with IFRS and Companies Act requirements.
    • Analyse accounts upon request.
    • Ensure all the journals are up to date and correct.
    • Advise and assist with the necessary training in accounting, administration and computer usage.
    • Assist other accounting staff, specifically at rush periods.
    • Help the external auditors to complete a timeous audit.
    • Carry out ad hoc projects and investigations as and when necessary.
    • Group Reporting.
    • Tax administration and compliance (Tax compliance, consulting and accounting).
    • Consolidation.
    • Other Ad hoc reporting duties.
