    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Seasonal Assortment Planning

    • Post Mortem of previous season with reference to current trade
    • Contribution of category and lost sales potential
    • Markdowns sold
    • Review of promotional activity and discounting
    • Price point contribution and average price sold
    • Core vs fashion split
    • Create buy plan by month/season to released OTB within the agreed
    • Contribution by category
    • Contribution by price point monitoring average price
    • Core vs fashion split
    • Input margin
    • Forecast markdowns to be sold in the season

    Seasonal Location Planning

    • Manage and sign off Post Mortem of turnover by Department and Category by store with review of store grading
    • Manage and sign off strategic allocations of major Departments and Category by store in line with OTB released by month

    Current Trade Merchandise Planning

    • Review and Reforecast Weekly and Monthly sales by rands, units, markdowns and margin by category
    • Review and Reporting of Sales and Stock on hand by category weekly
    • Identification and Reporting of Parcels or Key items trade as identified by the Senior Merchandise and Location Planner or the Managing Team
    • Maintenance of projected sales, stock, markdowns and stock loss % by category monthly
    • Review of forward order book with the Buyers Assistants Weekly

    Current Trade Location Planning and Allocations

    • Monitor turnover, markdown and promo effect by store monthly with a view to revising Store Grading and Strategic Allocations in season
    • Manage IBTs and Returns to Head Office and the effect on allocations
    • Manage damaged stock and oddments in store and the effect on allocations
    • Record Allocations and reforecast inputs by store by category where necessary
    • Oversee the allocation of stock
    • Identify styles for replenishment, forecast sales and stock requirements by store
    • All Stock Take results to be reviewed with Operations Manager
    • Create and update templates for New Store stock in line with required stock holding for opening

    Reporting

    • Weekly Reporting of Stock and Sales by Category noting over and understocks against release of OTB for Manco Meeting Monday morning
    • Revision of OTB document in line with reforecasts and unspend or overspend against OTB released for Manco Meeting Monday morning
    • Stock and Sales ratios and cover by store by Department for Manco Meeting Monday morning
    • Monthly Reporting of RLC for submission
    • Month end Reporting of trade against plan and last year including stock, sales, margin, markdowns and critical indicators by Category and Store all in summary format templates WITH commentary to be distributed to Manco
