    Banqueting Co-ordinator

    Job Purpose

    • To proactively quote, book, coordinate and plan Events, ensuring Guest Satisfaction and Return Business.

    Qualifications

    • Matric / Grade 12.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum 3 years Function or Events Co-ordination experience within the Service / Conference Industry required.
    • Extensive knowledge of Conference & Exhibition Market.
    • Numerical Skills – Manage budgets extremely important
    • Banqueting Operations and Food & Beverage experience would be an added advantage.
    • Knowledge of Opera Sales and Catering or other Conference/Banqueting systems is required.
    • Knowledge of Sales Force is an added advantage.
    • Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Must be a team player
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Shift work is an operational requirement

    Main Resposibilites

    • Co-ordinate and organise all external and internal client events and functions.
    • Perform sales function by handling direct sales calls in a pro-active manner.
    • Respond to enquiries from clients with quotations and contracts.
    • Must have the abilities to close a deal and proactively upsell the facilities and services.
    • Respond to booking requests received from Sales Department and G&C Supervisor.
    • Allocate venues for functions and events, capturing accurate information onto Opera Sales and Catering.
    • Accurately record information related to functions received from clients onto Function Sheets.
    • Produce and distribute weekly Operational Function Sheets to all relevant Operational Departments.
    • Maintain a high standard of quality and service to clients.
    • Responsible for building and maintaining client relationships.
    • Conduct meetings and site inspections.

    Inspector

    Job Purpose

    • To supervise operational processes, to ensure that direct reports follow appropriate procedures and maintain high standards and to provide excellent customer service through leading by example and motivating staff members.

    Qualifications

    • Matric with pass in Mathematics or accounting

    Minimum Requirements

    • Previous supervisory experience will be an advantage
    • Two years gaming experience preferred
    • Competency on Roulette, Blackjack, Poker, Punto Banco and Baccarat (with 9 months experience on Baccarat and/or Midi Punto Banco)

    • Operationally required to work in a smoking environment

    Main Resposibilites

    • Opening and closing of gaming tables according to company and gaming board procedures.
    • Table administration, including player tracking, fills and credits, and hourly counts.
    • Guest relations, including recording player’s names, signing for complimentary drinks, handling disputes and assisting guests.
    • Ensure Company and Gaming Board compliance in the way that dealers conduct games and monetary transactions.

    Bar Person

    Job Purpose

    • To ensure guest satisfaction by providing efficient beverage service in accordance with the required standards of the Company.

    Qualifications

    • Matric certificate  

    Minimum Requirements

    • 2 years’ work experience in a similar environment  
    • Micros knowledge an advantage  
    • Stock taking and stock ordering 

    Main Resposibilites

    • Manage and maintain set standards of the department 
    • Supervises his/her bar within the constraints of the Company’s policy and government legislation
    • It is the responsibility of the bartenders to ensure that the bars and trolley bars are clean, stocked and always packed during operational times.    
    • Maintains stringent stock and cash control procedures as laid down in the company handbook and as per departmental procedures.  
    • Ensure that guest satisfaction is maintained at the bar. 
    • Co-operates with the fellow bar staff to ensure correct taking of orders and service of beverage according to company standards.  
    • The Bar Person will be responsible for the operation of his/her bar.  
    • Satisfies guest to prevent guest complaints.

    Sales Executive

    Job Purpose

    • To achieve Peermont’s objectives and Revenue Targets within the hotel market segment commitments and conferencing/events business for all Peermont Hotels and conference centres in the designated portfolio through sourcing, securing and servicing business, new business prospects, as well as from past and current clients.

    Qualifications

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Relevant Sales Qualification required

    Minimum Requirements

    • 3 Years related Sales experience required, preferably in the Hospitality, travel, airline or car rental sector;
    • Existing strong database and relationships with decision makers in the relevant market;
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Computer literacy essential;
    • Own transport and a valid driver’s licence required.

    Main Resposibilites

    • Source Transient business commitments and conferencing/events business for all Peermont Hotels and conference centres in the designated portfolio
    • Responsible for managing specific Key Accounts
    • Source new business through Telesales / Cold Calling within the allocated market segments
    • Negotiate rates and availability in conjunction with the Group Sales Manager where necessary
    • Achieve monthly and combined quarterly targets for the designated portfolio
    • Attend to, follow up on and reply to all enquiries, offers, quotes and confirmations timeously
    • Process Vendor Registration forms, Credit Applications, Negotiated Rate Agreements
    • Conduct regular and updated product knowledge presentations to all stake holders for the Peermont properties to Clients
    • Record and update all contact details, appointments and calls on Sales Database (Salesforce.com) and submit weekly and monthly Sales Reports accordingly
    • Develop and execute a sales plan and associated projects within the required timeframe as allocated by the Group Sales Manager
    • Host and Attend client events and familiarisation trips
    • Exhibit at client workshops and tradeshows

    Group FIC and AML Officer

    Job Purpose

    • Performing Risk Assessments across the active data base, review and verification of received documentation and making an alalytical risk assessment for all clients. Periodic evaluations according to policies and procedures. Investigate high risk clients. Effective communication with relevant parties

    Qualifications

    • Relevant qualification

    Minimum Requirements

    • Full knowledge of the CRS Bally tool
    • Group system to system reporting
    • Submit “Not submitted” report
    • Remediate failed/rejected reports, undelivered batches
    • Track failed transaction
    • Track transaction in Cage, CMP, Table View and Hess.
    • Fix transactions in CMP
    • Full understanding and knowledge of the goAML system
    • Registering of entities/MLCO/MLRO
    • Managing message board/Section 27 requests
    • Managing all reports
    • Process of Remediating Failed reports
    • Reconcile message board to CRS tool
    • Submit manual transactions STR,SAR, CTR and CTR

    Main Resposibilites

    • XML and WEB reports to be checked
    • CRS Bally checked daily for successful batches, pre-validations and submitted status.
    • Reports to be archived before FIC deletes.
    • Submitted and Not Submitted reports to be scrutinized daily.
    • Find solutions to why reports are rejected and correct them in a specific time frame to meet deadlines.
    • Manage daily communications between Peermont and FIC Helpdesk – message board not working, delayed communication on submitted/rejected reports, CRS Bally/IT offline.
    • Manage changes on FIC reporting goAML system.
    • Assisting MLRO/MLCO on problems.
    • A complete audit to be done at each Unit.(at least 3 x audits per year)
