    Survey Bursary Student - Kathu

    DESCRIPTION

    Tshipi e Ntle Manganese mine wants to award bursaries to students that are currently studying towards a mining industry related qualification at any of the SA universities or University of Technologies.\

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

    • South African Citizen
    • Senior Certificate with acceptance at a tertiary institution.
    • Consideration will be given to first year academic students

    ETD Practitioner - Engineering (Kathu)

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    Manages the relationship with the outsourced technical training service provider. Monitors the outsourced training content and manages the training schedule to ensure alignment with operational requirements. Manages and facilitates the on-boarding programme.

    To plan, develop and deliver training interventions on Engineering discipline.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    Financial Perspective

    Contributes to cost efficiencies:

    • Demonstrates budget and cost awareness and proactively identifies and implements cost saving initiative within the Training function.
    • Identifies and escalates potential risks that could result in increased costs.
    • Adheres to required operating standards to ensure that no penalties or costs are incurred within the Training function.
    • Internal Business Process Perspective

    Training Co-ordination:

    • Manages the relationship with the outsourced technical training service provider.
    • Monitors quality of the outsourced training content and technical training schedule to ensure alignment with operational requirements.
    • Manages, plans and facilitates the on-boarding programme.
    • Compiles and submits reports (including the Workforce Skills Plan).
    • Manages and monitors training information and ensures that training information is updated and accessible.
    • Sources and manages training providers and other suppliers as required to support training requirements.

    • Builds and maintains key customer relationships including:
    • Human Resources team;
    • Mine Management;
    • Employees and contractor.
    • Drives customer centricity and service levels of the organisation through the delivery of Training service excellence.

    Stakeholder engagement and management:

    • Negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to promote the business and service objectives of the company.
    • Ensures that the needs of organisational stakeholders are prioritised and managed including:
    • Colleagues, contractors and employees;
    • Suppliers;
    • Outsourced training service provider.
    • Works with management and employees to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

    • Grade 12 or NQF level 4 equivalent
    • OD ETDP Level 4
    • Engineering Trade Test (Preferably Millwright)
    • Assessor qualification
    • Moderator qualification
    • Computer literate

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATION

    • OD ETDP Level 5 or National Diploma in HRM/HRD

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

    • 3 years’ experience as an artisan
    • 2 Years’ relevant training experience within the engineering discipline
    • Facilitation skills
    • Mentoring and coaching
    • Knowledge of relevant legislation
    • Planning, organizing and coordination skills
    • Ability to work without Supervision
