    Specialist: Product Support

    Purpose of Role:

     Aftermarket product support management, This position will ensure that all aftermarket strategies and programs are in alignment with Sales, Product management, Engineering Operation and Distribution

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
    • Team player, interpersonal skill: Be part of the comminution team and work closely with the process team on OE handovers and with service support technicians. Demonstrate a high performance and accountability culture within the team. Build relationships across Weir's branch network, SCM and with clients across mine sites.
    • Engineering: Understanding and Interpretation of technical and manufacturing drawings. As well as understanding of manufacturing processes
    • Sales: Drive profitable sales and meeting targets. Maintain active customers and prospect new customers towards sales growth.

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • Engineering qualification, with 3 - 5 Years experience in mining and/or OEM sales background,
    • Technical knowledge of crushing and screening equipment
    • Strong administrative skills, super excel user, understanding of working capital and inventory management
    • Willingness to travel extensively across AME
    • Self-driven and ability to work without supervision

    Technical Sales Representative - Steelpoort

    Purpose of Role:

    The successful candidate will need to be energetic and have a passion for sales.  They should be technically sound and ability to promote and generate business from existing and new customers as well as growing the market share by providing value adding solutions to products and processes for our customers.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.  Adhere to all Safety Health Environment (SHE) and housekeeping requirements at the branch and customer sites at all times.  Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times.
    • Customer support: providing world-class customer and technical support to clients with a high level of professionalism.  Conduct sales calls and deliver impactful technical product presentations, demos and trials that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition.  Travel extensively in the region to sell into new prospects, as well as farming back into existing customers.  Submit quotations, tenders (where applicable), technical data, drawings and relevant information to customers within a reasonable period.
    • Sales growth: Grow product installed base in region through upselling and cross-selling new products and services.  Providing equal attention to established customers as to growing new business.
    • Strategy:  Provide market intelligence about customers and competitors to help identify and develop new markets, sales strategy and support accurate forecasting.

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • National Diploma (Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering) or any equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 3 years’ related technical sales experience in a minerals processing equipment / mining environment
    • Valid Driver’s licence – extensive travel to mining locations within the region is required
    • Computer literate – Microsoft Office suite, CRM e.g. Salesforce (ERP Software e.g. SAP is advantageous)
    • Demonstrate an understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Integrated Solutions
    • Proven sales track record
    • Technical report writing experience
    • You will be a proactive, confident and self-motivated individual that takes pride in the quality of work you deliver with the ability to work under pressure. You should possess solid communication, presentation, technical solutions selling and negotiation skills, business acumen and exceptional customer relationship building skills including the ability to manage difficult customers and honour customer commitments.  You should also have the ability to identify and solve problems in a timely manner.

    Director: Sales RSA

    Purpose of Role:

     The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a sales strategy and plan to maintain a sustainable profitable business achieving continued growth targets. Imbed Integrated Solutions as part of the branches DNA contributing to the achievement of company objectives and customer satisfaction.  

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sales Focused:  Strategic planning and design of the company’s sales strategy, along with the successful communication and delivery of the strategy.  Development and implementation of a successful after-market strategy ensuring profitable repeat business from existing and new customer base. Guide and direct sales activity across the region and to support delivery against KPI’s and targets.
    • People Leadership: Effectively manage direct reports and provide leadership and management while supporting the development, growth and upskilling of sales teams Positioning the company’s sales resource and technical capability accordingly in line with emerging business opportunities.
    • Customer Focused: Effectively manage customer expectations and successfully negotiate commercial outcomes consistent with achievement of strategic and financial objectives
    • Financial Management: Ensure new business development, negotiations and commercial contracts in line with proposed budgeted growth. Develop and achieve annual budget (in line with strategic plan ) and monthly reporting on key result areas.  Setting revenue targets for the company and setting key performance indicators as well as taking responsibility for sales forecasting.
    • Sustainability: Formulating and implementation of interventions to deliver sustained performance in terms of securing tenders and new business opportunities. Driving and promoting process optimization opportunities in the region

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
    • Bachelor's degree (mechanical / industrial / metallurgical / chemical).  MBA is preferred
    • Minimum 5 years of mining and engineering industry experience in core served markets
    • Minimum ten to twelve years management experience
    • Excellent oral, written persuasive communication and presentation skills
    • Proven management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
    •  Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
    • Strong and confident negotiator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
    • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
    • Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities

    Engineer: Process Snr

    Purpose of Role:

    To represent, support, specify and sell WMA products by providing technical solutions to customers during the execution of product specific strategy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
    • Provide technical support for the product, internally and externally
    • Compile technical proficient product offers for tendering department, including selection and pricing
    • Full technical support and offering with the tendering department
    • Offer technical support to the branches, including site visits and trouble shooting
    • Compile trial proposal documents for identified trial sites, as well as assist sales network in submission, justification and follow through.

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree (mechanical / industrial / metallurgical / chemical) with six to eight years comminution related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • Valid Driver’s license.
