    Chief Surveyor

    Key Responsibilities

    • Complying with all Survey legal requirements.
    • Providing information to assist with determining the feasibility of identified mining areas.
    • Assisting in identifying new mining areas.
    • Optimal uitilisation and maintenance of survey systems.
    • Reporting of survey activities and provision of reliable advice.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • A relevant tertiary qualification (NQF Level 7).
    • Mine Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency.

    Minimum Experience

    • 5 Years’ experience as a Senior Surveyor in a mining environment.
    • Registration with the Institute of Mine Surveyors of South Africa as well as PLATO will be advantageous.

    Inventory Assistant

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensuring accurate, complete and validity of all goods and materials received.
    • Ensuring goods received are correctly binned on shelves timeously.
    • Operating a Forklift and Overhead Crane safely and utilize lack-up trolleys where applicable,
    • Conducting stock count.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Grade 12.
    • Obtaining a Symbol A on the Psychomotor Dover Test.
    • Basic Rigging, Forklift and Overhead Crane licenses will be advantageous. Successful candidates without Basic Rigging, Forklift and Overhead Crane licenses will be assisted to obtain these through a structured development programme after which they will be upgraded.

    IT Superintendent - Systems

    Key Responsibilities

    • Designing, installing, configuring and maintaining SQL databases.
    • Monitoring database performance, implementing optimizations and troubleshooting SQL

    Payroll Operations Partner

    Primary Task & Key Responsibilities:

    • Within the global payroll operating model, responsible for multiple payrolls operationally, which includes:
    • Ensuring that all relevant payroll related input is loaded to the outsourced service provider’s portal
    • Monitoring integration performance (payroll data from Workday to payroll services provider)
    • Adherence to the payroll processing calendar, e.g. ensuring input deadlines met
    • Validating payroll output, i.e. processing output from payroll services provider
    • Responding to queries on payroll input
    • Checking and approving final payroll outputs,

    End of pay cycle requirements, including:

    • Posting journals to SAP
    • Ensuring pay slips are successfully integrated to Workday
    • Forecasting funding requirements and responding to Accounting / Finance queries
    • Monthly reports, quarterly and annual reports, as required
    • Payroll regulatory oversight, with guidance from Regional Leads and Payroll Lead and payroll services provider
    • Benefits regulatory oversight and implementation of mandatory occupational benefits, where applicable for country
    • Benefit enrolment and management, in so far as is relevant for accurate payroll processing,
    • Managing deductions and payments to various third parties, where applicable
    • Participating in Workday enhancement for the employee experience and for payroll operational efficiency
    • Maintaining local Standard Operating Procedures for countries in scope (adopting and championing Global Operating Model)
    • Payroll audits – responding to auditors’ requests for data
    • Responding to payroll enquiries from employees and stakeholders in a timely manner

    Project Services Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implement and optimise the Copper Capital Management Framework (CMF), ensuring compliance with global standards and practices that are fit for purpose for projects in the Africa region.
    • Provide governance, oversight, and assurance across the regional project portfolio, including active participation and facilitation of Asset Project Control Groups, project steering committees and the Copper Investment Committee.
    • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and transparency in project reporting, enhancing decision-making capabilities and maintaining rigorous project control processes to deliver objectives timely and within budget.
    • Deliver strategic analytics, insights, and advice to optimise the Copper Portfolio Capital Planning and Program Management processes, contributing directly to project priority ranking and investment decision-making.

    • Identify and proactively manage project risks, ensuring compliance with standards, procedures, and best practices.
    • Collaborate closely with Life of Asset (LoA), Life of Mine Planning (LOMP), Technical and Operational Excellence teams to capture and embed best practices and innovative approaches to enhance project outcomes and operational efficiencies.
    • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in project management methodologies, tools, and systems to mitigate risk and improve capital effectiveness across the region.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and improvement across the regional project services function, facilitating growth, sustainability, and increased capital productivity.
    • Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to project personnel and external consultants, ensuring adherence to CMF processes and standards.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
    • Minimum 15 years’ experience in a project services or similar role within the resources, mining, or industrial sectors with practical delivery experience
    • Significant experience working with project delivery organisations within the Central African region (DRC experience would be highly advantageous).
    • Proven track record of effective stakeholder management at all organisational levels.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.
    • Commercial and financial acumen with the ability to perform detailed cost and schedule analyses.

    Technical Accountant

    PRIMARY TASK & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Draft technical accounting position papers addressing issues as they arise, and together with the relevant Marketing Finance teams, driving them to resolution with our external auditors.
    • Developing and maintaining the Marketing iGAAP, which is a detailed interpretation of the Group Accounting Manual. The Marketing iGAAP will take the form of a technical operating manual which includes practical application guidance and relevant examples for the Marketing Business Unit.
    • Preparing training material in various formats including PowerPoint, video tutorials (with assistance) etc. and hosting training sessions for participants.
    • Working together with our Group Reporting Team to analyse the impact of new IFRS standards and/or changes to existing standards on the Marketing Business Unit and updating the Marketing iGAAP accordingly with an interpretation of the accounting policy decisions made by Group Reporting.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • CA(SA) designation

    EXPERIENCE

    • A qualified SAICA professional with at least 1 - 2 years of post-qualification experience in a technical accounting advisory environment within practice (Big 4 Audit Firm).
    • Experience in writing technical accounting position papers.
    • Experience in preparing and delivering training would be an advantage.
    • Experience with IFRS 9 Financial Instruments would be an advantage.
    • Industry experience within a commodity trading environment would be an advantage.
