    Events Co-ordinator

    Job Description

    • Our client, an Event Management Company based in Durban is seeking an organised and pro-active Event Co-ordinator to manage events from planning through to execution.
    • The role includes event co-ordination, client and supplier management, budget administration, reception duties, answering phones, and general office administration.

     Key Responsibilities

    • Ability to work under pressure and independently
    • Plan and coordinate events from briefing to post-event reporting
    • Manage event logistics including venues, suppliers, catering, décor, and on-site execution
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients and service providers
    • Prepare and manage event budgets, quotations, invoices, and documentation
    • Oversee event setup, delivery, and breakdown
    • Perform reception duties, answer calls, and provide general daily administrative support
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies
    • Ensure a professional front-office experience for clients and visitors

    Requirements

    • Relevant qualification in Events Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field
    • 2–4 years’ experience in event coordination or management
    • Experience managing multiple events simultaneously
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office 
    • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
    • Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle, and willingness to work flexible hours

    Accounts Administrator (Debtors and Creditors)

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Administrator with strong debtors and creditors experience to support financial administration within a fast-paced events management environment.
    • The role is responsible for event-based invoicing, supplier payments, reconciliations, and ongoing liaison with the external accountant to ensure sound financial control and cash flow management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and issue accurate client invoices per event and contract
    • Manage debtor accounts, deposits, progress payments, and follow-ups
    • Maintain debtor age analysis and resolve billing queries
    • Process supplier and service provider invoices
    • Prepare payment schedules and reconcile supplier statements
    • Capture event-related financial transactions and track costs against budgets
    • Perform debtor, creditor, and general reconciliations
    • Maintain organised, auditable financial records per event
    • Liaise with the external accountant on month-end, VAT, audits, and year-end processes
    • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as an Accounts Administrator with debtors and creditors responsibility
    • Experience in an events, hospitality, or project-based environment (advantageous)
    • Strong reconciliation, invoicing, and financial administration skills
    • High attention to detail and strong organisational ability
    • Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
    • Proficient in accounting systems and MS Excel

    Finance Manager

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial health and operations of our organization. The successful candidate will manage financial operations, reporting, analysis, and planning, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and providing strategic insights to support decision-making.
    • This role requires a professional with 3–5 years of experience in a senior finance or managerial role and strong expertise in tax, SARS compliance, and financial regulations.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
    • Registered CA,CFA, (preferred)
    • 5 years of finance experience with at least 3 years in a senior managerial role
    • Proven experience managing financial teams and delivering results
    • High proficiency in TAX, SARS compliance, and financial regulations
    • Strong experience in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
    • ERP and financial software experience (Pastel, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling skills
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
    • Strategic thinker able to contribute to high-level business decisions
