DUTIES:

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in various earthmoving equipment.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to implement preventive maintenance programs.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in earthmoving machinery technology.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
• Repair and service to the full range of Bell Equipment machinery
• Stip, assess, quote, plan, repair & complete accident damage or rebuild machines.
• Strip, asses & rebuild machine components, including engine, transmission, axles, pumps etc.
• Plan for parts & equipment required for specific repairs.
• Use computer to order, create pick list, quotes etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Applicants must be qualified red seal Earthmoving Mechanics with a minimum of N2 trade   theory, engineering science, applied math’s & engineering drawing.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems in heavy machinery
• 5 years post trade experience in mechanical repairs field
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues in earthmoving equipment.
• Valid code 10 driver’s license.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills & attention to detail
• Previous experience working with earthmoving equipment.
• Familiarity with computerized diagnostic tools.
• Additional certificates in electrical systems or related fields would be an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• PC literate
• Basic welding skills
• Applicants MUST have their own set of tools.

DUTIES:

• General workshop administration duties
• Daily filling of jobs/backing documents
• Ensure all backing documents are attached
• Assist Foreman with excess call volumes
• Assist the foreman with information pertaining to job cards quiries
• Create necessary purchase requisitions and orders
• Extract daily WIP report
• Must attend regular WIP meeting and assist processing of jobs
• Follow up on suppliers invoices
• Capture of time sheets to SAP
• Capture of orders, MIGO to SAP system
• Ensure all jobs card values are accurate
• Update CRM
• Costing/invoicing of job cards
• Preparing and submitting schedule and non-scheduled payroll documents
• Preparing banking of cash
• Managing of petty cash
• Assist/monitor consumable purchases
• Assist with quotations when required
• Assist with machine delivery administration
• Responsible for all safety officers duties

  • Regular compliance

REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric or ABET 4
• Good communication skills, ability to speak Afrikaans would be an advantage
• Compute literacy
• Must be resourceful and self-motivated
• SAP computer experience
• Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years related experience
• Supervisory experience added advantage
• Ability to interact with team members
• Report Writing skills
• Preference will be given to locally based candidates
