    Contracts Manager - Melkbosstrand

    PURPOSE OF ROLE

    Lesedi Nuclear Services is seeking a skilled Contracts Manager/Administrator to provide contracts management and administration support on the Steam Generator Replacement project at Koeberg Nuclear Power Station.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Commercial administration of subcontracts including issuing instructions, assessment of Compensation Event Quotations, ensuring alignment with principal contract requirements, and managing contractual close-out.
    • Supporting the Project Manager in managing the principal contract, claims and quotations, contractual disputes, correspondence, change requests, and contract closure.
    • Assisting with legal services, finance, accounts and meeting contractual commitments.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with principal contractor, subcontractors and suppliers.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Technologist (Technical Engineering Degree/Higher National Diploma) and 10 years of relevant experience OR
    • Engineering Degree (BSc) and 6 years of relevant experience AND / OR
    • Suitable qualification in quantity surveying, contract management, project management or legal studies

    COMPETENCIES

    Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of applicable contract administration processes
    • Contract management knowledge in terms of NEC is required
    • Understanding of project management principles (PMBOK preferred)
    • Experience on Eskom projects preferred

    Skills:

    • Excellent communication and people skills
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
    • Results-focused on delivering to cost, time, and quality targets
    • Methodical approach with attention to detail
    • Proficiency in computer software (XLS and other MS Office products, etc.)

    Proposals Engineer

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    Lesedi, as an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company, relies on formal and informal request for proposals/tenders to win new projects. Proposals are the primary documents used to win these projects. This role is to lead the preparation of proposals assigned by the Industrial division leads, supported by the Proposals Manager and to ensure that the execution of these proposals comply with the proposals procedure as well as comply fully with the client's requirements. This role also covers the ability to develop or conceptualize technical/system solutions if / when required to do so. This role interfaces with many aspects and departments within of the overall company.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Identifying new business and/ or project Tender opportunities as applicable
    • Summarizing RFP documents/Informal requests for Go/No Go meetings
    • Project managing the complete proposals execution process according to procedure
    • Preparing compliant proposals for submission, with the assistance of various individuals/teams
    • Proposal Close-out (Wash up meetings, lessons learnt, archiving important documents)
    • Responding to Client clarifications for submitted proposals
    • Handover of successful bids to the projects team

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    Qualification and experience:

    • Degree in an Engineering Field (Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering)
    • Minimum 2 years relevant experience
    • Project management qualification is advantageous
    • Experience in Project Management
    • Experience in compiling proposals
    • Experience in the Power Generation Industry
    • Experience with NEC and/or FIDIC contracts
    • Cost Engineering/Estimating capability is advantageous
    • Technical writing advantageous

    Safety Officer - Rustenburg

    PURPOSE OF ROLE

    To ensure that all regulatory Health, Safety and Environmental compliance requirements are met. Implement and facilitate comprehensive Health, Safety and Environmental programmes that will assist the operations to achieve zero incident tolerance and ensure compliance to company standards, procedures and regulatory requirements.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Site inspection and audit
    • Incident Management
    • Conducting health and safety studies and risk assessments both qualitative and quantitative to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
    • Ensure that project complies with the OH & S and the Client`s requirements.
    • Monitor activities for compliance with the safety plan.
    • Issue reports indicating status of activities/project compliance.
    • Training of employees
    • Manage and maintain both EMS & SMS
    • Drive EHS continuous improvement initiatives

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Certificate in Safety and Environmental Management.
    • SAMTRAC / NEBOSH.
    • SACPCMP Registration.
    • SHEQ system Auditing 9001, 14001, OHSA 18001 and 45001.
    • Qualification or relevant experience in regulatory requirements
    • H&S training & development (e.g. Incident Management, Risk Management, First Aid etc.).
    • Minimum 5 years related experience in a similar position.
    • Good knowledge in the OHS Act and other applicable legislations.

    • Ensure proper administration of the incident reporting investigation system, legal documents and registers

    • Work with all employees, contractors and visitors to ensure that all safety policies, procedures and regulations are fully adhered to across the site on an ongoing basis
