    Operations Foreman

    • The purpose of this role is to achieve production targets in a safe and client responsive manner.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

    Successful blasts according to requirements

    • Responsible for ensuring that blasting takes place on time and in line with the customer's request. This includes all the pre-blasting activities such as (among other things)
    • Preparation of the Emulsion Charging Unit,
    • The planning of the blast,
    • Blasting design,
    • Preparation including measuring of holes, pumping, wiring, timing and stemming of holes,
    • Testing and quality assurance of the product,
    • Monthly report to BME management and mine including a blasting efficiencies report and cost analysis.
    • Take actions to ensure cost/tonne targets are me

    Compliant with legal and company requirements

    • Underground safety.
    • Storage of accessories and products is in line with statutory prescriptions. Responsible for ensuring the security of stocks in storage areas in order to eliminate damage, theft and pilferage.
    • Stocks stored with due consideration to all statutory and SHEQ prescriptions such as, for example, the separate storage of explosives and accessories.
    • Correct and appropriate procedures followed with regard to loading/unloading of trucks and the movement of products into and out of storage areas.
    • Ensure that all the requirements of the OSH Act, and statutory prescriptions (at a minimum) are met on the site.
    • Ensure staff working on the site meet all the statutory, legal and BME SHEQ requirements, standards, and prescriptions necessary for the performance of day-to-day activities on the site as well as preparing for and executing a detonation. This includes, among other things, the items on the Monthly Site Inspection Form as well as for underground blasting preparation and exec.

    Enabled blasting operations and services

    • Hands on guidance of employees to function optimally
    • Inputs to Site Management budgeting process in line with site objectives
    • Train and create an environment of knowledge transfer/ sharing with mine personnel.
    • Responsible for ensuring the sound management of storage areas such as the silo and the magazines on site.

    Prevented waste/eliminated cost

    • Make sure the necessary controls are in place to monitor usage to eliminate unnecessary waste
    • Responsible for exercising financial control by ensuring that expenditures on site are managed inside the allocated budget costs, are allocated to appropriate cost centres or cost codes, checking for errors or omissions, and making the necessary corrections.

    Serviced clients

    • Work closely with mine employees on the site and manage the relationships with them so that needs can be assessed, and sound service delivery can take place.
    • Ensuring customer satisfaction on site.

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

    Qualifications:

    • Blasting Ticket
    • Advanced Blasting Course (Advantage)

    Experience:

    • 3 years' mining experience as a supervisor or Equivalent (preferably Underground)
    • 3 years' demonstrated knowledge of performing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical maintenance

    Buyer

    • The purpose of the job is to manage stock levels, generate purchase orders, ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials and components, negotiate with suppliers and liaise with internal departments. Responsible for purchasing material and equipment's.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

    Manage stock levels

    • Prepare bill of materials
    • Optimise inventory and manage bulk order ordering
    • Manage component database

    Managed supplier relations

    • Manage quarantine items and returns to suppliers, supplier quality.
    • Generate and manage (QAD) purchase order.
    • Respond to stock issues & discrepancies.

    Accurate Inventory Reporting on time

    • Submit material cost movement report
    • Submit Inventory movement report
    • Submit Inventory wastage reports

    Material requirements planning

    • Plan orders for production activity control and purchasing
    • Calculate the requirements, receipts, orders and projected availability for a basic Material requirement planning records.

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12
    • National Diploma in Purchasing (or equivalent)

    Work Experience:

    • 2 years demonstrated experience in Inventory and purchasing management

    SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE:

    • Ability to effectively analyze data
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (including written and verbal).

    Senior Events and Brand Specialist

    • The Senior Events and Brand Specialist will be responsible for managing and delivering end-to-end execution of corporate events, executive engagements, hospitality services, and brand experience across the Group. The role ensures that all events and stakeholder interactions are professionally executed, aligned with corporate brand standards, and contribute to employee engagement and organisational objectives. The incumbent will be accountable for operational delivery and brand consistency within defined strategic direction.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

    Event Planning & Execution

    • Plan, coordinate, and execute corporate events including:
    • Internal staff events and engagement initiatives
    • Workshops, town halls, and leadership meetings
    • Corporate social investment (CSI) initiatives
    • Manage all event logistics, including venues, catering, transport, audiovisual requirements, and setup
    • Ensure events are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned torganisational standards
    • Maintain and manage the events calendar, ensuring alignment with business priorities
    • Conduct post-event evaluations and implement improvements

    Brand Management & Event Experience

    • Ensure all events and hospitality services are fully aligned with corporate identity and brand standards
    • Oversee the implementation of branding across all events, including signage, presentations, collateral, and environments
    • Maintain visual consistency and professional presentation standards across all event materials
    • Support brand governance by:
    • Monitoring correct use of logos and brand elements
    • Providing guidance tinternal teams and business units on brand application
    • Contribute tbrand enhancement initiatives, including:
    • Updates tcorporate collateral (e.g. brochures, presentations)
    • Maintenance of image and content libraries
    • Input intbranding audits and site branding improvements
    • Ensure every event delivers a consistent and high-quality brand experience for all Stakeholders

    Hospitality Management

    • Oversee hospitality services for Board, Exco, QBRs, and other high-level meetings
    • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality catering and guest experiences
    • Manage boardroom readiness, setup, and presentation standards
    • Monitor and manage hospitality stock in executive areas
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with catering and service providers

    Stakeholder & Relationship Management

    • Engage with internal stakeholders (Executives, EAs, Business Units, site teams) to understand event requirements.

    Communication

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Events Management, Hospitality, Marketing or a related field.
    • Honours would be advantageous

    Experience

    • 5–7 years' experience in corporate events, hospitality, or related field
    • Proven experience managing large-scale and high-profile events end-to-end
    • Exposure tbrand implementation and corporate identity standards
    • Experience working with senior executives and stakeholders
