    Plant Supervisor - Secunda

    Job Advert Summary    

    • The Plant Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all production processes operate reliably and efficiently to optimise output.
    • This includes effectively managing available resources—such as plant capacity, fleet utilisation, raw materials, and human resources,—to deliver high-quality products on time and in a profitable manner

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate

    National Diploma or Certificate:

    • Concrete Technology
    • Civil Engineering
    • Production Management
    • Operations Management (Advantageous)
    • Concrete Technology Certification will be an added advantage
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years in the Ready-Mix / Concrete / Aggregates Production environment

    • Control the allocated budget and ensure adherence to financial constraints and forecasts.
    • Ensure all documentation is accurately completed and submitted timeously.
    • Enforce short interval controls in line with company policies and procedures.
    • Conduct regular plant walkabouts, inspections, and enforce housekeeping standards.
    • Ensure maintenance activities such as cleaning, lubrication, and inspections are performed.
    • Manage Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) programmes and compliance.

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Invoicing & Financial Administration

    • Prepare, verify, and issue accurate daily customer invoices in line with operational data and pricing agreements
    • Ensure all invoicing is completed within required timelines and aligns with company financial procedures
    • Capture and reconcile daily financial transactions, including utilities, fuel (diesel), rentals, and other operational costs

    Job Advert Summary    

    • The primary purpose of the Millwright role is to provide comprehensive electrical and mechanical maintenance support to the plant in order to achieve maximum equipment availability, reliability, efficiency, and safety. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that all plant machinery and equipment are maintained to the highest engineering standards through effective maintenance practices and technical expertise.
    • The role combines both electrical and fitting disciplines and requires a highly skilled artisan capable of troubleshooting, repairing, installing, maintaining, and optimizing a broad range of industrial equipment used within heavy engineering and manufacturing operations.
    • The Millwright will support production by ensuring minimal disruption to plant operations through rapid response to breakdowns, execution of preventative maintenance schedules, and proactive identification of potential equipment failures.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics & Science
    • Relevant trade certificate (Millwright qualified) through QCTO – Red seal (based on NQF L4)
    • Relevant N qualification in the specific trade (Minimum N4 with fitting & electrical theory)
    • Valid driver’s license
    • 3 - 5 years relevant Artisan experience in a Heavy engineering Industrial And/or manufacturing environment

    • Replacing bearings, seals, shafts, couplings, chains, and mechanical components
    • Aligning motors, pumps, and rotating equipment
    • Conducting fault finding on mechanical failures and equipment malfunctions
    • Maintaining conveyor systems, screw conveyors, elevators, and scraper chains
    • Repairing and maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    • Servicing gearboxes, mills, crushers, reclaimers, packers, and associated plant machinery
    • Performing welding, fitting, and assembly work where required
    • Conducting shutdown maintenance activities and plant overhauls
