    Product development & Innovation

    • Assist R&D Technician / Manager in the development of new products as per the project brief.

    SHEQ Administrator

    Job Description    
    Administration:

    • Document audits on food safety, SHE and quality documents of all departments to ensure correct information is documented as required.
    • Managing document control of Quality, Food Safety and SHE Management Systems.
    • Collect, check, and file all quality checklists verification for accurate completion, and ensure that equipment calibration registers are up to date. Provide feedback to respective managers if there are deviations and follow up on actions taken.
    • Schedule, coordinate and minute the Management Review and Food Safety meetings,
    • Conduct/participate in internal audits. Track and update internal audit schedules.
    • Site Calibration Register. Implement a tracker.
    • Ensure that all non-conformances and MOCs are followed up on and closed out within the agreed-upon times.

    SHERQ Officer (Sunshine)

    • RCL FOODS is searching for a SHERQ Officer to join our Baking Division based in Pietermaritzburg and will report into the QA Food Safety Manager.
    • The purpose of the role is to manage the daily activities of the baking division, to support the achievement of agreed Quality and Food Safety goals and objectives.     • Identify relevant food safety team members and appoint them.
    • Manage the training needs of Food Safety team members.
    • To conduct monthly food safety and annual management review meetings. To ensure minutes are kept of these activities.
    • Manage customer complaints by means of investigations in order to prevent the re-occurrence.
    • Manager internal corrective action process in order to prevent the re-occurrence.
    • Implement and manage relevant PRP’s (Pest Control, Cleaning and Sanitation, GMP, etc).
    • Conduct supplier audits when required.
    • Conduct monthly food safety audits and assist the relevant departments to implement effective corrective actions.
    • Manage all food safety related audits (external and internal), ensure compliance to standards at all times.

    Millwright - Nelspruit

    • RCL FOODS is seeking a Millwright  to join our Baking Division. The role will be based in Nelspruit and reports to the Maintenance Manager. 
    • The purpose of the role is to be responsible for ensuring that Plant Maintenance is done effectively and accurately in such a way to ensure the minimum downtime.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • N4 Mechanical/Electrical Engineering plus trade test 
    • Minimum 5-10 years production line or FMCG maintenance experience
    • PLC/VSD Drives experience.  
    • Knowledge in mixers, dividers, proofers and conveyor systems, oven burners and bakery equipment 
    • Ability to communicate on all levels. 
    • Ability to work systematically.
    • Ability to prioritize workload.
    • Report writing and analysis.
    • Maintenance systems like 5 why, fishbones, etc
    • Mentoring apprentices.
    • Must be able to work shifts and be available on callouts and standby if required.
