    Claims Clerk

    • RCL FOODS is on the hunt for a Claims Clerk to join our Commercial, Credit Management team in Bedfordview.
    • The successful incumbent will be responsible to manage and distribute all claims, proof of deliveries and collaborate with our 7 bakeries for Shoprite and Pick N Pay.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • A tertiary qualification in Finance or a related field. 
    • Experience working with large volumes of claims. 
    • Experience working on Syspro will be advantageous. 
    • Experience working with Microsoft Excel. 

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Extract Outstanding PODs

    • Access the Capisol platform to Retrieve all outstanding Proof of Delivery (POD) documents.
    • Submit the extracted PODs to the Credit Controller for onward submission to the PNP Head Office.
    • Ensure extraction is completed within the first week of each month

    Data Processing & System Capturing

    • Process all BBR value only credit and value only debits on Syspro through a Document Approval workflows.
    • Capture and process Milling, Grocery, and Sugar credit notes using the Activity Tracker and Document Approval workflows.
    • Process Sugar Business Unit pricing claims accurately and timeously

    Month-End Compliance

    • Ensure all transactions and documentation are processed within stipulated month-end deadlines
    • Assist in ensuring completeness and accuracy of records during financial closing periods.

    Credit Control Support

    • Assist Credit Controllers with general credit control administration.
    • Engage with Credit Controllers across various accounts to provide operational support and resolve queries.

    Banking

    • Process customer payments from daily bank statements onto the system, ensuring all receipts are correctly processed and discrepancies are identified and escalated promptly.

    Admin Clerk

    • RCL FOODS is on the hunt for an Admin Clerk to join our Commercial team in Tzaneen.
    • The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing office support to the Tzaneen Bakery teams by placing general orders for office goods, eg. stationery, staff refreshments etc as well as provide administration support to the extended to ensure all suppliers are paid on time and that the general ledger is maintained accurately on a daily basis.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • A tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting or related field. 
    • Experience working with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
    • Minimum 1 to 3 years experience in an office or administrative environment.

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Order Administration:

    • Place general orders; example Stationery, Staff refreshments, consumables for cash office, etc
    • Communicate all late/unrealistic delivery dates to end users and ensure all above request have got the correct authorisation as per LOA
    • Process all RTOs for general orders accurately, on time and receipted accordingly.
    • Send documentation, eg. POs, invoices, credit notes, etc to the head office creditors team for payment on time
    • Follow up on all outstanding back orders and ensure that these are receipted once delivered
    • File all invoices, POs, GRNs, etc daily
    • Keep a listing of all monthly expenses and ensure that these invoices are obtained from our suppliers in advance of them being due for payment so that they are processed and paid on time, eg. Rental invoices for our Depots
    • Receive the actual consumable items/stationery from the supplier delivery representative and count and verify goods delivered.
    • Count all stationery and staff refreshments that are in storage weekly to minimise losses and ensure that all staff collecting stationery and staff refreshments sign the necessary company documentation (order forms, books for collection, etc) before taking receipt of goods so that they can be held accountable for goods ordered

    Stock/Spares Administration:

    • Assist in monthly stock counts for production and distribution
    • Assist with monthly maintenance and transport spares count
    • Prepare daily stock movement report and investigate variances
    • Assist in daily stock counts where applicable

    Bank and Cash administration:

    • Assist the GL and Cashbook clerk with petty cash requests
    • Act as a relief cashier during busy periods and when our permanent cashiers are on annual leave

    General Tasks:

    • Act as a relief van sheets clerk during busy periods and when our permanent clerks are on annual leave

    Reception duties:

    • Answer the phone in a professional manner, and route calls as necessary

    Debtors Clerk

    • RCL FOODS is on the hunt for a Debtors Clerk to join our Commercial team in Pretoria West.
    • The successful incumbent will be responsible for controlling designated debtors accounts and to ensure a sound debtors administration system for designated accounts at the business units.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 Bookkeeping or accounting qualification will be an added advantage. 
    • 3-5 years working experience in debtors administration. 

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    To manage manage debtors accounts

    • To manage and oversee specified debtors (Pre-paid and Drivers) accounts for Pretoria Business Unit viz. Boerstra and all its Depots.
    • To take charge of all Pretoria Business Unit’s debtors queries and oversee and manage the Chainstores Claims Master Lists on the Remote Desktop for all units/depots. ? To do initial investigation to see if credit is due
    • Update the tracker with all queries that are resolved and new queries received to always have an up-to-date tracker.
    • Price related queries must be captured by Debtors Clerk, irrespective if we charge the driver or not.
    • To prepare and send monthly accurate statements to all pre-paid accounts and manage the Age Analysis.
    • Reviewing age analysis for prepaid customer to ensure all balances are in credit.
    • To allocate all EFT payments from the cashbook for prepaid accounts.
    • To allocate all driver deductions payments from payroll timeously.
    • To communicate and create reasonable time frame for debtors queries to be resolved on time and to make necessary follow-ups.
    • In an event whereby debtors’ queries are resolved and different drivers on the routes, the debtors’ clerk must ensure that Adjustments/Sundry transactions are processed on the same date for the Driver Recon to be correct, accurate and up to date. 
    • Ensure a workflow approval before processing adjustments. (Van- sheet controller – first approver and second approver is Accountant or Finance Manager - FM
    • All debtors’ queries with price differences must be processed by the debtors’ clerk and those with the same price to be processed by relevant van-sheet clerk.
    • Irregularities must be reported to the Finance manager
    • Ensure that customer queries on designated accounts are resolved timeously.
    • Check pre-paid accounts balance regularly.
    • In an event whereby many claims must be downloaded from the respective portals, the debtor’s clerk may request assistance from the receptionist to download claims and email them to him/her.

    Debtors File

    • Ensure that designated debtors files are updated with all filing as required.

    To assist FA with ADHOC administrative duties

    • Ensure that all adhoc duties are performed to the satisfaction of the FM
    • Processing GRNs and send invoices to baking creditors for Finance department suppliers.

    Customer Executive – Industrial Channel

    Minimum Requirements

    • Experience: 8–12+ years in B2B sales/commercial roles, with at least 3–5 years in a senior sales leadership capacity.
    • Channel/sector exposure: Strong experience selling into industrial/manufacturing customers (ingredients/commodities/food or agri-processing preferred). Experience in milling, grains, ingredients, or bulk commodities is advantageous.
    • Key account & negotiation: Proven track record of managing national/key accounts, leading annual negotiations, and delivering growth with margin protection.

    Process Engineer

    Purpose of the role: 

    • The Process Engineering is critical to the development of our factory to World Class and supporting the growth agenda of the business.

    Decision Making

    • Makes proposals to Plant manager and R&D teams on the effective implementation of projects in the manufacturing environment.

    • Complex written and verbal communication to both internal and external stakeholders

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Factory Support:

    • Lead Focused Improvement Projects for reduction of Short stops, and other types of downtime
    • Conduct process studies to ascertain sources of waste and implement countermeasures from make to pack.
    • Design specific short interval Controls to help eliminate chronic issues
    • Lead Best Practices implementation (Changeover, waste reduction across the production lines.
    • Lead Training of Staff on Lean Tools (5S, Problem solving tools, OEE Framework)
    • Conducts process optimisation by identifying areas of improvement to positively impact productivity, delivery and quality, and to reduce cost, waste, energy and SHE risks through use of Lean tools. 
    • Leads and/or assists teams in SHEQ risk assessments e.g. HAZOP, HACCP, area risk assessment. 

    Projects

    • Compiling Project Briefs/proposals for Capital Expenditure Budgeting
    • Initial/preliminary design/scoping
    • Leading detailed engineering (business partnering both internally and externally, as well as leveraging off integration with RCL)
    • Overseeing procurement and equipment pre-assembly 
    • Leading FAT’s
    • Leading Installation and Commissioning
    • Completing documentation and training
    • Ensuring comprehensive handover and termination
    • Lead and conduct trials planning and execution in collaboration with the R n D teams
    • Ensures that plant systems are updated with changes, MoC, DMS, Recipes, etc.
    • Ensures that Quality standards (GMP, manufacturing hygiene) are maintained in design, installation and proposed operation.
    • Assists with training operators and write up of training material. 
    • Manages internal and external stakeholders through regular updates on project status.

    Management of Safety Health Environment and Quality (SHEQ)

    • Guides team to ensure that all legislative standards are achieved and in time and action is taken where required to ensure that there are no areas of noncompliance).
    • Responsible for health and safety to ensure a safe environment to operate and work on for all staff.
    • Follows up on requirements for compliance ensuring that it is continuously maintained and adhered to.
    • Measure and manage sustainability practices within area of responsibility.
    • Maintain and implement Food safety standards.

    Information and Data Management

    • Ensure team members accurately and regularly captures data onto the information
    • System to enable access to reliable data and reporting for trend analysis and decision making.
    • Share relevant data with management teams to enable reliable business decision making.

    Effective Teamwork & Self-Management

    • Take ownership and accountability for tasks and activities and demonstrates effective self-management in terms of planning and prioritising, and self- development.
    • Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of work are consistently and accurately maintained.
    • Inform relevant parties in the event of tasks or deadlines not met, the potential risks thereof and provide appropriate resolution.

    • Champions training and development of self and others through utilising available training opportunities or contributing to the development of new training solutions relating to product costing in collaboration with national training specialists.
    • Maintain a basic appreciation and awareness of employee relations climate and ensure corrective action is taken where required in line with relevant legislation and company policy.
    • The Process Engineer is responsible for validations pertaining all process improvement initiatives and the establishment of revised basic conditions on the line following the improvements implemented.
