The Role:

• To apply and use knowledge of sales process and tools to support front line sales representatives in promoting and selling the organization's products and services within assigned geographic area, product range or list of customer accounts to achieve significant sales targets.

Key Performance Areas:

• Identifies prospects and assists with the preparation of presentations.
• Develops sales skills and knowledge of the products, services, and customers by working closely with a more experienced sales representative to promote products, close orders and resolve problems.
• Maintain and update the Core database with details of customer activities.
• Develop understanding of machining practices and processes utilizing modern tooling systems and how ’s product portfolio meets the market needs.
• Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales plans and prioritize and schedule own activities so these targets are met.
• To support field sales reps with product testing and related tasks in order to ultimately support additional sales and market share gains.
• Gather and compile data, tool testing comparisons, competitive information, and cost comparisons.

Your Profile:

• Grade 12 / Equivalent qualification
• Relevant post Matric qualification will be advantageous
• Experience in a mining environment with specific exposure to rock tools
• At least 2 years’ experience in various mining applications particularly underground
• Experience in Trackless Machinery environment
• At least 5 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing
• English proficiency
• Computer literacy
• A valid drivers’ license

The role:

• The purpose of this role is to deliver standardized training programs in local language and English and deliver advanced operator support on products, processes and services.

Key Performance Areas:

• Design and deliver operator training programs according to organizational requirements
• Develop and update course content and teaching materials for training sessions
• Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions etc.
• Assess the effectiveness of the training program and make necessary improvements
• Support trainees to develop practical skills and knowledge by providing hands-on training
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest technological trends and developments
• Prepare and implement training strategies and schedules
• Evaluate trainee performance, provide feedback and support to improve their understanding of operating Sandvik soft rock mining machines
• Manage training resources and equipment, ensuring all items are in working order and ready for use in training sessions

Your profile:

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
• Blasting Ticket
• Competency A Mining certificate
• Certificate of Competence in Education, Training and Development Practices (ETDP) or related qualification as Adult Education Facilitator
• Proven competence in Course Design and Development
• Proven competence as an operator or specialist on Sandvik products
• A trade certificate of competence would be an added advantage
• Experience in operating Soft Rock machines, LS 170, LS 190, LS 312, Mercury 1F, ds310, MC 430, MC 350, MC470 essential
• Ability to write comprehensive reports
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours and travel extensively
• Computer literacy
• English and at least one other local language proficiency
• Valid driver's license
