    Supervisor Finance

    The Appointee should:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Costing Management & Administration Implement quality and quantity costing outputs through the effective utilization of financial resources by ensuring accuracy of reports, timeous cost transfers, error reporting, effective planning/scheduling, within agreed financial periods and timeframes.     Mine Overseer Operations UG

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implementing and executing strategic Health and Safety plans, goals and targets by ensuring the Unit’s planning is aligned with the operational plans, goals and targets and that such goals are always achieved for the unit.     Key Responsibilities:

    Unit Manager Protection Services

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • NQF Level 7 or National Diploma NQF Level 6 – Security Management or Law Enforcement

    The Appointee should:

    • A Degree NQF Level 7 or National Diploma NQF Level 6 – Security Management or Law Enforcement .
    • Have a Minimum of 10 years work related experience in a security environment with 5 years in Superintendent capacity
    • Have sound knowledge of applicable regulatory and legislative requirements, technology systems, best practice security scenarios and reduction works.
    • Have a valid Grade A registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA)) or the ability to obtain one within 3 months..
    • Have the ability to obtain a firearm competency certificate issued by the SAPS as per the new Firearm Control Act, Act 60 of 2000
    • Demonstrate sound communication skills in English (verbal and written) and be a self-assured well-disciplined individual with proven analytical skills
    • Have sound business communication and report writing skills
    • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Packages.
    • Conduct research as well as analysis and interpretation of complex data
    • Have sound knowledge of the Criminal Procedure Act, Act 51 of 1977 and the Mine Health and Safety Act, Act 29 of 1996

    • Audits o Visit sites and equipment locations on the mine and undertake equipment audits and inspections in respect to engineering workmanship, quality and compliance with engineering policies, procedures and standards. o Proof and evaluate compliance of the maintenance application to legal and statutory regulations, standards, codes of practice, specifications and standard operating procedures. o Attest and direct remediation of deviations to standard technical, maintenance and operating practices. o Assess key maintenance functions to ascertain whether they efficiently and effectively support the operations. o Determine and recommend improvements to the maintenance processes from the audit findings. o Identify control procedures to use to ensure each key risk for equipment type is properly controlled and monitored. o Report problems identified and initiate action plans to address the problems. o Follow up on reported findings at appropriate intervals and ensure remedial actions have been done or in progress, maintain a tracking database for this purpose. o Give objective assessment of performance relative to best practice. o Appraise equipment and associated systems with assurance that they are fit for purpose. o Assists in addressing all key elements of asset management strategy using KPIs. o Facilitates cross functional engineering and production teams to minimize reactive maintenance.
    • Standards Enforcement and Quality Assurance o Assist in establishing programs to maintain and improve the quality of maintenance and the maintenance systems employed to minimize unplanned downtime on key equipment. o Directs maintenance personnel to continuously evaluate compliance and strict adherence to the established procedures and policies. o Assist in establishing a monitoring system to measure maintenance quality and improvement initiatives. o Provide technical assistance and direction to other functional groups in order to drive quality improvements and enhance the maintenance function. o Interface with regulatory agencies for complaint investigation and technical interchanges to present the company viewpoint, and during regulatory inspections serve as the subject matter expert. o Assist in establishing cross functional teams to address cleaning, lubrication and first line maintenance functions
    • Analysis and Improvement o Assess equipment criticality and performance trends analysis to assure systemic problems are identified and make the necessary decisions or changes to current maintenance practices to remedy and fix the problems arising. o Facilitates failure analysis techniques for cross functional teams. o Participate in incident investigations (SIRs, Safety etc.). o Drive corrective actions to systemic problems that directly impact on the production process and improve overall maintenance effectiveness. o Identifies significant recurring failure patterns by analysing maintenance history. o Ensures that preventative actions are implemented to ensure cost effective maintenance programs. o Makes formalized recommendations to engineers.
    • Planning and Scheduling o Facilitates a three to five-year maintenance management strategy for the operations. o Liaises with planned maintenance officers to ensure inspection and audit findings are scheduled for remediation in accordance win the established priorities. o Monitors compliance to maintenance schedules and programs interventions to remedy deviations. o Assist with the preparation of schedules and the supervision of major works/shutdowns. o Assist with the development of the critical spares and sub assembly register for all equipment on the operations.
    • Information Management o Ensures that equipment data, nomenclature, descriptions, component serialisation are correct as captured in the ERP System. o Updates technical manuals and documents as appropriate. o Develops equipment and process performance parameters for monitoring purposes. o Continuously reviews equipment task lists in the ERP- SAP system in light of maintenance improvements, equipment developments and modifications. o Participation and representation in relevant forums. o Keep up to date with the latest technology available.
    • Early Equipment Management o Provide direction and participates in new equipment specifications. o Conducts RCM exercises for all new equipment before commissioning establishing the maintenance strategies and task lists to be adopted. o Participate in Group wide RCM template development and review for primary production equipment and review for primary production equipment.
    • Maintenance Facilities and Tools o Identifies and establishes the special tools required to perform the identified maintenance tasks to be carried out. o Ensures compliance to MHSA, OHSA and domestic requirements in all maintenance facilities provided. o Ensure that workshops have been upgraded to comply to existing best practice with workshop standards, environmental control and material flow. o Support a housekeeping program. o Determines, in conjunction with Supervisors, that all facilities and tools are adequate for basic maintenance tasks.

    Guard

    Minimum Required Qualification:

    • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior certificate.

    The Appointee should:

    • NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate for Adults)
    • Have a valid Grade C registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA))
    • Have at least 3- 4 years’ experience in a high-risk security environment
    • Have a valid code EB driver’s license with the ability to drive a vehicle
    • Be in possession of a firearm competency certificate issued by the SAPS
    • Demonstrate sound communication skills in English (verbal and written)
    • Be able to work in a team and be results orientated
    • Be able to perform duties on a shift rotation basis – morning shift, day shift, afternoon shift and night shift
    • Have a clear security screening record
    • Be aware that he/she will be subject to periodical and random polygraph examinations, and be expected to achieve a No Deception outcome
    • Be declared medically fit to function in the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at a relevant Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre

    Advantageous Qualifications:

    • Certified competent in the handling and use of a handgun, shotgun, self-loading rifle or carbine for business purposes
    • Be in possession of crowd control management, tactical firearm, defence and restrain techniques, advance driving skills certificate

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To prevent and deter crime and security incidents by enforcing Legislation and Sibanye Stillwater’s Policy, Procedures and rules. To monitor and protect Sibanye Stillwater Assets and Employees at the various operations where SPS deploys
    • Ensure that Sibanye Stillwater assets at the various operations are adequately protected through access control, guarding, observation and patrolling
    • Ensure that access to Sibanye-Stillwater premises is granted only to legitimate employees, contractors and visitors through the execution of Access Control Procedures, ensuring the verification of identity and employee status
    • Protecting the Sibanye-Stillwater employees and visitors on site through the execution of applicable protocols and procedures developed to keep employees safe.
    • The execution of random and dedicated Patrols on foot or vehicle as applicable and required in terms of risk areas.
    • Conduct the appropriate searches as per approved procedures upon access and egress of people and vehicles
    • Report any suspicious behaviours and any potential problem areas to Supervisor and request back-up when necessary
    • Part-takes in crowd facilitation when required, providing first line reaction when crime takes place.
