- In-depth knowledge of the COSO Internal Control Framework as well as ISO 27001 and/or COBIT
- Experience with SOX control and process documentation/testing support, including evidence standards and report writing
- Good understanding of IT Systems such as SAP, JDE, Symplexity, Maxxess and Coupa (or equivalent ERP and business systems), including key IT configurations and interfaces impacting financial reporting
- Computer skills (MS Office and SAP GRC)
- Data analytics / process mining experience (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the day-to-day execution of IT-related SOX activities for in-scope systems, in line with the approved SOX methodology and under the guidance of the Unit Manager SOX
- Perform and support walkthroughs with IT control owners and process owners to confirm control design, IT dependencies, and evidence requirements
- Coordinate IT control evidence readiness activities (PBCs), including evidence quality checks, completeness validation, and timely follow-up with control owners
- Maintain and update IT-related process/control documentation (including IT narratives and IT process flows) illustrating key IT dependencies for financial reporting processes and controls
- Support the maintenance of risk and control documentation inputs (including IT-dependent controls) and ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and audit-ready
- Perform IT-focused risk analysis to identify financial reporting risks arising from system functionality, configurations, interfaces, access/security, and change management for inscope accounts and processes
- Support the identification, design, documentation, and implementation of ITGCs and IT Application Controls (ITACs) to address identified risks, in collaboration with IT control owners and the Unit Manager SOX
- Provide guidance on IT control requirements and governance considerations for new projects and system/process changes impacting SOX in-scope environments
- Perform the evaluation of ITGCs/ITACs deficiencies (design and operating), evaluating evidence gaps, root cause analyses and coordinating responses with IT control owners
- Guide and assist IT control owners with the remediation of SOX IT control deficiencies, including action planning, tracking, and escalation of delays or blockers to the Unit Manager SOX
- Coordinate IT control owner inputs for quarterly CSA/CEQ activities for assigned areas, including follow-ups on overdue items and escalation of non-compliance to the Unit Manager SOX
- Assist with preparation of IT-focused inputs for SOX status reporting, and audit interactions, for review by the Unit Manager SOX
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IT control execution through automation, standardisation, and continuous monitoring techniques (where feasible)
- Explore process mining / data analytics use cases relevant to SOX and support pilots and implementation of agreed enhancements
- Provide guidance and training to operations, business departments, and corporate office process/control owners on pertinent IT-related control topics and trends

Key Responsibilities:
- Mining Risk Management Contribute to the management of risk within own field of expertise. Assess Mining risks and incorporate mitigating controls. Maintain and update the Mining component of the risk register. Mining Management Manage the Mining Section teams, systems and processes. Analyse, interpret Mining data, reports, and take corrective actions as required. Provide effective problem solving support to the Mining teams. Participate in the daily Mining meeting Plan and manage Mining resources (personnel, equipment and materials) as required Maintain and update the Shaft schedule Design and plan underground layouts
- Start of Day Preparation Check Shift Communication Log book for any problems reported and special instructions that need to be addressed. Determine material allocations based on the BOM. Verify materials, consumables and explosives orders. Monitor Seismic Activity Report and communicate to the Mining teams. Verify that the Gas Testing procedure has been complied with. Verify statutory and daily examinations records.
- Ground Control & Strata Control Support Assess poor quality support installations and take corrective actions. Secondary Support Manage the installation of secondary supports, assess poor quality support installations and take corrective actions. Tramming Manage the Tramming team and activities and plan Tramming activities and targets. Secondary Blasting Manage Secondary Blasting team and processes. Maintenance Manage underground maintenance activities. Blasting Initiate blasts and authorise re-entry to blasted section after observing the prescribed re-entry period. Removal of Brocken Rock (Cleaning & Sweeping) Plan the location of winches.
- Underground Operations Projects Identify Underground Operations improvement opportunities. Implement Underground Operations improvement projects and initiatives. Supervise a project team of an Underground Operations project to deliver project objectives. Contribute to the management of project risk within own field of expertise. Develop a simple schedule to facilitate effective project execution. Monitor, evaluate and communicate simple project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
- Health & Safety Management Determines objectives and targets with regards to Health and Safety systems and services, costs, health and safety and labour requirements by ensuring that certified and detailed Health and Safety system and plans are in place and are communicated and understood by relevant parties Ensures that tactical requirements for the Health and Safety Unit are implemented by advising Management and stakeholders on matters relating to Health and Safety and provides input for company policies and procedures. Informs Management on tactical issues within the scope of Health and Safety Unit’s function that do or could impact on business. Offers recommendations for solutions to address such situations. Ensures that matters of tactical value are executed within the Health and Safety Unit’s function by conducting regular follow-ups and reviews on related policies and procedures as well as assisting and advising where necessary. Compiles and manages the annual budget by identifying future needs related to historical and current trends and assumptions. Monitors expenditure in relation to the budget, continually identifies and investigates variances and makes necessary adjustments. Ensures that the Unit’s vision, mission, values and strategies are implemented and complied with.
- Operational Implements, certifies and maintains Health and Safety Systems (ISO 14001) by implementing Policies, Standards and Procedures in accordance with best practice and legal requirements, ensuring that Management systems are subject to regular audits and reviews, recording non-conformance and implementing corrective action. Schedules and undertakes periodic Health and Safety audits and inspections for all units – identifies deviances and initiates corrective action. Follows up regularly, Interprets, implements and maintains programmes for the effective monitoring of Health and Safety characteristics by reporting on Health and Safety performance indicators, ensuring compliance to requirements and that continuous improvement in Health and Safety conditions are achieved and that reporting of Health and Safety data to regulatory bodies is undertaken Coordinates Health and Safety projects effectively by identifying, defining and planning with due regard to inputs from interested and affected parties, obtaining necessary regulatory approval, scoping projects and procuring finance and services. Ensures that contracts are compiled to ensure effective delivery and that Management plans are devised and implemented for the project in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001. Undertakes continuous research in new technology, systems and application thereof to effect improvement in results by implementing and monitoring results of new technology, literature search completing feasibility studies, attending relevant technology forums e.g. conferences, seminars, workshops, colloquiums. Ensures that Health, Safety and Environmental issues are maintained by effective PPE usage according to standard procedures, taking responsible for own safety as well as that of others Performs any other activities necessary for the effective completion of his/her work.
