    Business Intelligence Specialist - Johannesburg

    Under the direction of the Business Intelligence and Strategy Manager, provide decision support through analytics and insight generation. You must be a curious, driven individual who enjoys developing and implementing custom reporting and/or dashboards based off business need. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about music and the music business, detail-oriented, a strong communicator, incredibly curious, and technically capable with a desire to discover and deliver data-driven business insights. This role is critical to fuel our data-driven culture and to help us make informed business decisions.

    What you'll do:

    • Utilize analytical and financial models, internal business intelligence, and data tools to assess performance across multiple business areas. Identify trends and present data-driven recommendations to the team and key internal stakeholders.
    • Design, localise and manage dashboards and bespoke reporting solutions to guide decision makers and help identify opportunities while maintaining data integrity and report accuracy
    • Serve as the primary data expert for the labels, collaborating closely with stakeholders in the development, tracking and review of market strategies
    • Key liaison in understanding data sources, systems and working with teams to implement enhancements to support company data advancement and education
    • Assist in exploratory work by leveraging new datasets from streaming, digital & tech partners, social media, and digital ad performance data
    • Conduct business case and/or deal scenario modelling / analysis in support of potential investments, partnerships, acquisitions, and new business initiatives

    Who you are:

    • You will have 2-4 years of experience as an analyst
    • Music/Media industry experience preferred, but not required. Candidate expected to demonstrate knowledge of how the music business operates and about the evolving digital landscape
    • You have strong analytical and quantitative skills, and demonstrate curiosity, attention to detail, creativity in problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making
    • A detail-orientated, excellent communicator, and enthusiastic collaborator that works well with team members that represent a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills
    • You have experience in financial analysis, modelling, and presenting outcomes clearly, thoroughly, and concisely.
    • You are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and have good knowledge of BI and / or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx)
    • Confident in SQL (other data programming languages are a plus) and have experience with relational databases
    • Ability to work with technical teams to define business requirements for automated reporting systems.
    • Passion for music is absolutely required and desire to build a career in the industry
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks at once and work to deadlines

    Digital Marketing Specialist - Johannesburg

    As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will report to the Marketing Manager. You will oversee all elements of the internal digital marketing providing support to marketers and partner management teams to achieve highly effective and efficient marketing plans that reach and engage music fans and audiences with the goal of increasing streaming revenue for SMEA. You will become a subject matter expert on the effects of digital marketing and how they impact our artists' growth and development. Work closely with Label Managers to creating content to aid in the success of marketing campaigns and conduct research that informs campaigns

    What you'll do:

    • Manage social media, artist channels (Live, fan listening sessions, artist Q&A, etc.) and websites in collaboration with the artist's team and management
    • Implement effective and on platform and off platform strategies to increase audiences and audience engagement with the ultimate objective of increasing streams
    • Share best practices with artists for the operation of their social media (regular presentations on new functionalities, recent tools, market evolutions etc.
    • Implement CRM campaigns in collaboration with marketers, use CRM and data analytics to better understand artist audiences and behavior and communicate findings and recommendations to marketing teams
    • Identify and create relevant and engaging content for the artist accounts and channels
    • Create content for use on DSP's, websites and in media campaigns
    • Purchase effective and efficient digital media campaigns to support marketing plans and strategy as agreed to by the Label Manager/ Marketing Department
    • Content Development/DTP and write content for search engine optimization
    • Make recommendations on digital marketing investments
    • Stay up to date with the lates digital communication software and ensure the company is visually portrayed to high standard on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram 
    • Maintain digital logistics including but not limited to link maintenance, YouTube optimizations, artist's email marketing and more
    • Participate in marketing discussions and project/label/artist brainstorms

    Who you are:

    • Digital content management experience including social media messaging and email marketing
    • Passionate and actively emerged in music culture and its consumption across multiple channels
    • Excellent time-management, organization, and communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and balance priorities
    • Analytic skills
    • Familiarity with paid social media platforms including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, Google and YouTube
    • Basic knowledge of design and editing programs such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Final Cut Pro
