    Production Team Leader - Fordia

    Key Performance Areas

    Production:

    • Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes and procedures.
    • Allocate labour and capital resources to maximize productivity.
    • Analyse production, maintenance and quality control to identify problems and recommend solutions that will improve performance and quality.
    • Ensure timely delivery of finished goods to the customer as per production plan and targets.
    • Production planning and control of the production process including issuing of job cards / worksheets
    • Liaising among different departments, e.g. Stores and sales to meet delivery times.
    • Correctly convey the setup requirements of the CNC machines.
    • Ensure that the "Setters" have all relevant information to produce the components correctly and not produce scrap due to communication reasons.
    • Monitor product standards and manage quality control systems.
    • Ensure that health and safety protocols are followed.
    • Ensure that all Machines are well maintained.
    • Supervise and motivate workers.
    • Design and Development:
    • Assist with documenting product designs and SOP in production.
    • Managing of drawing on Solidworks.
    • Management of effective drawing and CNC program control.
    • Producing general arrangements and detailed manufacturing drawings using Solidworks.
    • Develop work holding jigs and fixtures and select correct cutting tools.
    • Inventory Management:
    • Procurement and inventory control of manufacturing consumables.
    • Procurement and inventory control of tooling, jigs and fixtures

    Qualifications

    • Minimum
    • Matric
    • 5 years in a relevant position as above
    • Solidworks
    • Advantage
    • Mechanical engineering degree

    Experience requirements

    • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in CNC manufacturing environment
    •  Project management experience would be an advantage
    •   Minimum of 2 years CAD experience

    Regional Implementation Manager - Digital Solutions

    Main Responsibilities or Functions of Job:

    • Be a role model and a visible ambassador for our company values and business code of conduct
    • Make sure that all employees have a valid mission with tangible goals and KPI’s
    • Act as a consultant to customers to assist with automation and digitalization implementation road maps for customers
    • Lead the digital mine system integration into customers sites
    • Develop a support organisation for whole of mine systems, with a particularly strong focus on systems and applications
    • Overall automation and digitalization project execution management
    • Collaborate with other divisions to support automation implementation projects where required
    • Develop and manage a data analytics team to support the local CC and be part of the global team
    • Generate leads for MRS and CE through data analytics team

    Administrator - Digital Solutions

    Main Responsibilities or Functions of Job:

    • Receive customer orders for the Digital Solutions Division product portfolio
    • Accurately processing of incoming orders on BPCS/M3 ERP system
    • Accurately processing of invoices on BPCS/M3 ERP system
    • Reconciling invoices, orders, and orders on hand
    • Requesting, reconciling, and storing proof of delivery (POD) documentation for all digital hardware delivered
    • Purchasing and maintaining inventory levels for digital hardware
    • Receiving of stock for warehouse/stock take/reconciliation of stock
    • Documentation flow and control
    • Collating of monthly hours and allocations relating to cost centers/jobs for recoverable personnel and ensuring that allocations are done correctly
    • General office administration for the Digital Solutions Division
    • Assist with processing customer complaints

    Required Skills and Capabilities:

    • Sound computer skills with a particular working knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint). Knowledge of BPCS and Lotus Notes would be advantageous
    • Good customer relations with courteous telephone manner
    • Good Epiroc product knowledge would be advantageous
    • Interpersonal skills to work with customers and to work as part of the regional Digital Solutions Division team
    • Ability to understand complete flow of hardware and software ordered through the system
    • Needs to be able to take initiative and work independently
    • Ability to work unsupervised

    Education and Experience:

    • Matriculated (Grade 12). Qualifications or courses in purchasing and/or office administration would be advantageous.
    • Work experience in order/invoice processing, inventory management, ERP systems

    Sales management and execution

    • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, industry meetings and virtual events to initiate and progress sales.
    • Lead sales activities from initial contact through deal close
    • Generate new software licenses and technology product business opportunities through direct contact with mining companies and mining contractors.
    • Generate upsell opportunities to existing customers, including account planning for key customers.
    • Align and verify the proposed solution and pricing with the regional business manager and global sales support.
    • Secure that the solution is in line with the product portfolio and that the needed resources are allocated for implementation and handover to support.
    • Responsible for customer contact negotiations. Handover to local and central project organizations after contract signing.

    Collaboration and competence development:

    • Ensuring that you establish and maintain a relationship with local partners that are included in the digital ecosystem.
    • Work together with the national sales teams within Epiroc to find synergies and create new business opportunities.
    • Work with local CC and Global Marketing to plan and create leads-generating activities.
    • Organize and deliver sales training and information sessions for internal stakeholders to create awareness of Digital products.
    • Actively report and communicate customer requirements, trends, issues, and opportunities.
    • Anything and everything else you and we can think of to drive success.

    Education and Experience:

    • A degree in information systems, computer science or engineering. Alternatively, you can have a degree in business administration in combination with working experience within a technical environment.
    • Minimum 5 years of working experience in sales/business development for software / digital solutions in B2B with a proven record of success.
    • You have experience with interacting with and consulting customers on complex technical solutions.
    • Ideally you are familiar with the mining and underground construction industry.

    Regional Sales Manager - Underground

    Job Description

    • Provide topline and bottom-line profitability targets in terms of financial objectives.
    • Manage local market contribution in supporting of the peripheral services in the region.
    • Manage Working capital, i.e. receivables in line with objectives / Inventory levels.
    • Manage obsolescence in terms of minimizing slow moving stock inventory.
    • Introduction of new products into market and product performance development in the Region.

    • To manage, motivate and develop the UMR team and observe the company’s policy of skills development and equal opportunities in employment equity under the company’s goal in maintaining BBBEE status.
    • Take into consideration the local regulations and legislation and come up with solutions to achieve sustainability for the business.
    • Look for opportunities for acquisitions to enable the company growth strategy.

    Education and Experience

    • Grade 12 qualification with a relevant Mining Engineering or Business degree in the mining industry.
    • Business acumen.
    • MBA / Degree in Mining would be beneficial.
    • A minimum experience of 10 years post qualification in a mining or management role, specifically in the mining and construction
    • Proficient in English and computer skills
    • Background in mining sales and people management

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Has a good level of knowledge of the construction and mining industry especially in the Southern African region.
    • A proven track record of increasing revenues and market share whilst controlling costs.
