    Store Manager Miladys - Free State

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    We’re looking for a strong, vibrant and self- disciplined Store Manager to lead and manage the daily operations of a store to ensure that the overall objectives, store targets and customer service standards are met and exceeded.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Stock Management:

    • Ensure that stock is accurately received & unpacked to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.
    • Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes (stock counts, stock takes, stock loss action plans etc.) to mitigate risks (stock loss) and ensure adequate stock on hand.
    • Oversee the overall maintenance of the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
    • Authorize write offs, breakages, recalls and returns.

    Sales Growth & Profitability:

    • Analyze sales & profitability reports in store to collaborate with management on required operational action plans, increase sales performance and monitor store expenditure.

    Risk Management:

    • Conduct compliance checks through defined processes (e.g. admin checks, store audits, visual audits, COMO (Continuous Monitoring) reports, POS reports, health & safety standards, weekly hanger counts, security etc.) to ensure and enforce overall compliance to policies and procedures

    Customer Experience Management:

    • Ensure and maintain the implementation of customer experience processes (through the execution of business instruction letters, markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer experience plans, visual standards, customer feedback, general housekeeping etc.) to meet customer service standards.

    Leadership & Development:

    • Lead and drive the team within a store to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values.

    Visual Merchandising:

    • Ensure Visual Guide & weekly windows BIL's (Business Instructional letter) are implemented onto the sales floor to enhance visual appearance by bringing in all aspects such as drive aisles, windows and sales floor fixtures with clear identification of product and price. Ensure all mentioned is as per Visual merchandise standards.               

    In-store Visual Displays & Mannequins:

    • Responsible for all in-store marketing & visual material, signage, mannequins, etc.as well as dressing of mannequins as set out in the visual guidelines & BIL's. Ensure all are safely housed with easy accessibility and that the store has sufficient signage and price points.                                                 

    Communication:

    • Ensure all Visual Merchandise Guides, Windows, Drive Aisles and Promotions are viewed and instore images of completed tasks are sent to the Area Visual Co-ordinator. Responsible for establishing and creating a good working relationship between Support Centre Visual team and store and giving regular feedback to Operations Management.                  

    Promotions:

    • Ensure all promotions are implemented correctly demonstrating product, price, value offering, product intrinsic in the most visually attractive and easily identifiable manner for the customers. 

    Sales & Customer Service:

    • Drive sales and basket size through engaging and serving the customer with product knowledge (incl. co-ordination, benefits, handling care etc.) and promoting add-ons.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The incumbent in this role should ensure the quality of garments, leveraging expertise to uphold stringent standards, and collaborating closely with the merchant team to curate a portfolio of merchandise distinguished by its exceptional quality and compelling value proposition.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Ensure that all the correct quality processes are adhered to within critical path deadlines as follows.

    • Ensure that all garments are fitted on a dummy or model and check fabric specifications (including lab report) of the sample.
    • Ensure fit, label, seal, trim & graded spec of sample are correct, seal the sample. Capture seal info onto systems.
    • Compile monthly sample tracker report.   

    Wearer Trials:

    • Conduct wearer trials when testing new silhouettes, fabrications or new suppliers prior to production, in order to get feedback & compile departmental report, ensuring highest quality standards.              

    Quality Control:

    • Investigate & collaborate with the buying teams in order to make decisions on whether or not to recall products from the stores due to quality or fit issues.
    • Conduct factory visits/audits and store visits to ensure compliance and quality standards of products.
    • Check 3rd party audits & approve or reject accordingly.                               

    Supplier Relations:

    • Liaise and collaborate with international and local suppliers to build relationships and resolve queries in order to obtain the best quality products.                               

    Product Knowledge:

    • Maintain a detailed understanding of garment construction, structure & design components of products as well as the retail market & new product technologies.    

    Store Visits & Queries:

    • Assist stores with queries & conduct regular store visits in order to check returns, stock on the floor and in the stock room & customer quality complaints in order to resolve queries and record learning in report.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

    • Grade 12 and relevant tertiary qualification.

    Experience:
