    Assests and Receiving Officer - Midrand

    OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    To manage and control the SACAA stores.

    Stores and Asset Management

    • Ensure that proper procedures are followed when departments and other offices require stock (Request for stationery attached)
    • Receiving, issuing, and processing of goods taken from stores and consolidate documentation for record purposes
    • Replenish stock as and when required, ensure that there is sufficient stock in stores at all times and monitor the standards set in them
    • Ensure that stock-takings are coordinated monthly
    • Report on monthly stock variances
    • Allocate serial numbers to all fixed assets purchased

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualification:

    • Grade 12

    Ideal Qualification:

    • Post Matric qualification.
    • Computer Literacy advantageous

    Experience:

    • 1 Year - Inventory Management or administration experience

    AIS Technical Assistant - Midrand

    Description

    General Administration 

    • Contribute in the maintenance and update of administrative templates for effective administrative support
    • Process the section’s administrative functions and duties, including publications support
    • Manage office meetings by booking meeting venues, taking accurate minutes, and disseminating them within allocated timeframes.
    • Provide a prompt, courteous and accurate response to mailed, telephonic, or personal interaction.
    • Render a prompt, timeous, and professional response to customer queries and requests.
    • Maintain a database of AIP subscribers’’ details

    Financial and travel administration

    • Processes travel arrangements considering cost saving requirements, accuracy of quotes, and the latest Travel and Subsistence policies,
    • Collate information regarding the development of the section’s annual budget, track monthly expenditure, and compile the required expenditure report
    • Oversee the section’s stock and consumables and liaise with supply Chain for required procurement and replenishment. 

    Document Management 

    • Monitor expiration dates on NOTAM and communicate with relevant stakeholders.
    • Provide an efficient filing system that assist in tracking and tracing information in the section
    • Receive, record and process aeronautical information publication requests as received from clients.
    • Adhere to QMS requirements

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualification:

    • Grade 12 with a certificate in Office Administration as an advantage

    Ideal Qualification:

    • Diploma in Office Administration/Secretary or Office Management 

    Experience:

    • 1-3 years Office Administration or Secretary

    Airworthiness Inspector: General Aviation Organisations - Midrand

    Description

    Assessment, Inspections and Oversight

    • Evaluation and making recommendations regarding the issuance,  amendment and renewal of a Part 96 OC and Part 93 CAOC and the associated operations specifications, and the operator's competence to exercise the privileges of the certificate;
    • Evaluation and making recommendations regarding the issuance, amendment and renewal of a Part 149 approval, and the competence to continue to exercise the privileges of the approval holder;
    • Evaluation and making recommendations for the initial issue or amendment of an air service license for a Part 96 operator;
    • Evaluation and making recommendations for the approval and acceptance of operators and organisations documentation.
    • Conduct inspections, oversight and surveillance considered necessary to determine safety standards and compliance.
    • Conducting station facility, ramp and base inspections of operators, and any other form of inspection or check considered necessary to determine safety standards and compliance.
    • Making recommendations concerning appropriate enforcement action.
    • Investigate and report, as required, possible violations of the South African civil aviation law, regulations and technical standards.

    Maintenance and Acquisition of Specialist Skills

    • Keep abreast and well informed on matters concerning the safe operation of aircraft and associated legal and policy matters.
    • To be conversant with the area of specialization and seek ways of keeping abreast with developments in the role and associated tasks

    Proposals and Revision of Standards

    • Proactively research, develop and propose amendments to regulations, technical standards and procedures to ensure safe operation of aircraft.

    Communications and Safety Promotion

    • Project a satisfactory image of the SACAA to all stakeholders.
    • Promote aviation safety by participating in various forums and proposing improvements to aviation safety.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 (Matric) and hold or has held appropriate Aircraft Maintenance Engineers licence

    Minimum Experience:

    • 5 Years experience as Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

    Ideal

    • Experience with commercial operation of aircraft 
    • Aviation Safety Officer experience 
    • Quality Management experience
    • Project Management experience

    Cashbook Officer - Midrand

    OVERALL, PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To record, interpret and report activities of the CAA in financial terms and protect its assets.

    Cashbook reconciliations and foreign creditor payments

    • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts daily and submit weekly to the manager.
    • Follow up on unreconciled items timeously.
    • Liaise with the bank on unknown deposits or payments.
    • Ensure foreign creditors are paid timeously via telegraphic transfer.
    • Timeously clear audit findings relating to area of responsibility.

    Filing

    • Ensure that all documents are properly filed regularly.
    • Ensure that all filed documents are easily retrievable for future reference and auditing.

    Prepare Reports

    • Prepare monthly reports.
    • Prepare year end reports.

    Ad Hoc

    • Perform any other responsibilities from time to time as assigned.

    Requirements

    Minimum Qualification:

    • National Diploma or equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification related to Finance / Financial management. 

    Ideal Qualification:

    • B-Tech or Bookkeeping certificate

    Experience:

    • 3 years Cashbook experience
    • Great Plains, Excel
