    Qualifications and Experience

    • A minimum of Matric or equivalent
    • A minimum 12 months’ financial services experience as a Financial Adviser
    • A minimum of Long-term Insurance Class of Business completion.
    • Completion of additional FAIS requirements such as Investments Class of Business, the Regulatory Examination 5 (RE5), an FSCA-approved qualification will be advantageous.

    • A valid driver’s licence and own car

    Graduate (Broker Academy)

    Responsibilities:

    This internal Black Broker Internship programme will expose the graduates/interns to the full suite of Broker activities within Old Mutual Insure, as per the below:

    • Lead Generation
    • Cold calling
    • Canvassing- (door to door)
    • Sourcing of Partnerships and Collaborations
    • Networking and managing external events
    • Admin and Housekeeping duties
    • Ongoing learning and acquiring of Product knowledge (e learning assessments, attendance at scheduled classes/ internal training)

    • Attend various “Peer to Peer” training sessions (every Friday)

    Experience, knowledge & skills required

    • Unemployed Graduates / Interns 
    • Must be in possession of an accredited Matric Certificate with a minimum 50% score on Math’s/ Math’s Literacy and English
    • Must be in possession of a post Matric, Tertiary qualification , FSCA recognized 3- year qualification (Bachelor of Commerce: Financial Accounting, Business Accounting, Business Informatics Interprise Risk Management Insurance & Risk Management or Bachelor of Accountancy or Bachelor of Business Administration)
