    Snr Manager Risk-based SHE Assurance (108172)

    Short Description / Purpose of Job

    • Maintain and improve SHE combined assurance business processes. Coordinate the implementation of  an enabling system for SHE combined assurance, providing assurance on the effectiveness of the SHE risk and incident management, 1st levels of assurance, critical controls, Life Saving Rules (LSRs) and compliance to management system standards which include international standards on Health & Safety, Quality and Environment as well as Responsible Care.
    • Provide thought leadership, set standards, processes, procedures, tools, and share best practices on SHE combined assurance and assist business in practical implementation by means of appropriate guidance documents and on-site coaching.

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    • Develop and implement a medium-term strategy to establish and maintain a second party auditing team capable of effectively auditing both the petrochemical and mining sectors.
    • Ensure that the SHE combined assurance standards, audit framework, processes, procedures, tools and maturity assessments are co-developed, translated, implemented and integrated into the processes of the business. Support business to improve the SHE combined assurance process and provide business with practical support to implement.
    • Benchmark best practices facilitate standardisation forums and develop toolkits to execute on a standardized SHE combined assurance process.
    • Coach & mentor business stakeholders on gaining the necessary competence to effectively perform 1st levels of assurance process inclusive of the implementation of improvements and tracking the effectiveness of the 1st levels of assurance process. Ensure reliable assurance is provided by 2nd and 3rd party audits including regular risk-based approach training of second and third party auditors.
    • Manage risk-based 2nd and 3rd party auditing ensuring a continued focus on critical controls, LSRs and top SHE risks known as Key Undesirable Events (KUEs). Assure selected SHE and Sustainable Development (SD) data, SHE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), SHE Short Term Incentive scheme (STIs).
    • Ensure continued alignment between the petro-chemical auditing teams regarding audit planning, execution, reporting and data analysis.
    • Provide input into the scope of Sasol Assurance Services annual assurance plan.
    • Identify outsourcing needs, define scope of work, identify suitable service providers & manage relevant contracts.
    • Establish, analyse and report on outcomes of 2nd and 3rd party audits covering all audits referred to throughout this document and any other ad-hoc SHE reviews.
    • Develop lead/lag KPIs for SHE combined assurance in consultation with stakeholders. Support business in the implementation of these KPIs. By monitoring these KPIs, facilitate identification of focus areas and priorities related to the effectiveness of SHE combined assurance and propose improvement actions.
    • Provide input into the annual SHE game-plan & the annual SHE training plan of business, as it relates to SHE risk-based assurance.
    • Co-develop requirements for an enabling system for SHE combined assurance to provide assurance on the effectiveness of the SHE risk and incident management processes, 1st levels of assurance, critical controls, Life Saving Rules (LSRs) and compliance to management system standards which include international standards on Health & Safety, Quality and Environment as well as Responsible Care and coordinate the implementation of such enabling system.

    Artisan Gr 1 Process (108129)

    Process Artisan oversee and manage the full production process of a manufacturing plant or other industrial facility. They monitor equipment to ensure the quality, efficiency and safety of the plant. They are also responsible for the safe operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of the facility’s equipment and instruments. Process Operators are skilled professionals who often work as part of a team and provide leadership.

    Process Engineer (I) PSA project (108169)

    Short Description / Purpose of Job

    The Process Engineer (I) PSA project is a project specific position applicable for the duration of the PSA project. Upon completion of the PSA project, the incumbant will be allocated to another capital project within the Mozambican Gas Projects (MGP) or wider Sasol South African environment. This individual will also be required to perform process engineering work across other smaller tier rated projects and to provide technical expertise and support to existing plant operations located in Mozambique. The role requires that the individual be able to work within a well defined project environment during all project phases while being sensitive to engineering scope and impacts on project schedule and cost. The application of correct work processes, design codes, standards and tools, and applicable process engineering activities required to either develop a project or technically troubleshoot is a core aspect of this role. 

    This role has a mandatory requirement that the incumbent is able to travel to Mozambique (as and when required) to support process engineering activities.

    • Enable safe and responsible execution of operations across Sasol Group aiming to achieve zero harm and sustainability targets and in line with One Sasol SHE Excellence Approach through a data based approach.
