    Supervisor Contract Administration - Johannesburg

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a permanent full-time position.

    • As a Supervisor Contract Administration, you will be responsible for providing guidance and oversight to ensure effective contract management processes and compliance with policies and procedures of the Supply Services function within GBS for South32.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Producing the Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting for the team;
    • Managing the teams Leave/Roster for all direct reports;
    • Monitoring the teams Versa case to ensure that they do not fall out of SLA;
    • Monitoring the teams Versa e-mail to ensure that they are actioned in a timely manner;
    • Management of cases through the SAP – ARIBA interface and ensuring of quality outcomes;
    • Updating of the teams SPOT charts;
    • Ensuring that all key Daily, weekly, and monthly meetings are attended;
    • Performing monthly check-ins with all direct reports;
    • Ensuring proper investigations are performed for errors made by the team by performing 3Q’s and/or Non-compliance reporting and/or a root cause analysis report;
    • Perform Daily resource management.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Supply or a Shared Services Environment, of which at least 2 years in a supervisory position knowledge of the contract administration process;
    • Experience within high volume transactional and professional shared services activities, preferably SAP based;
    • In depth knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation;
    • Detail-oriented professional with a proven track record of handling large volumes efficiently.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • Degree/BTECH/National Diploma (3 years) in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a similar     discipline.

    Engineer Reliability - Richards Bay

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • This role is a permanent full-time position.  As an Engineer Reliability, the purpose of the role is to provide specialist advice and ensure asset integrity is managed and maintained over the life cycle of the assets; maintain a healthy asset integrity plan that actively addresses asset integrity, obsolescence, and end-of-life of assets; inform the capital plan for asset replacement strategy and asset improvement; and to ensure that changes to equipment and plant follows the set change management process.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Establish and ensure adherence to systems, processes and standards for the maintenance of dynamic / life cycle data relating to assets and asset systems
    • Establish and maintain systems and processes that ensure application of reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) concepts and design requirements for new and existing assets.
    • Establish and maintain systems and processes that manage asset and asset systems risk due to unreliability as related to health, safety, environment, operations, quality, regulatory compliance and cost.
    • Create and maintain total cost of ownership models in order to identify low reliability, high maintainability assets / components / tasks, initiate improvement projects where required.
    • Responsible for the development of all asset care plans, corrective task lists and work instructions for assets and assets systems prior to commissioning.
    • Provide relevant and specialised technical support, where required, to peers and colleagues to ensure the achievement of objectives.
    • Create and maintain total cost of ownership models in order to identify low reliability, high maintainability   assets / components / tasks, initiate improvement projects;
    • Evaluate asset investment proposals, preliminary design concepts, system engineering block diagrams and  uses RAM Analysis to provide total cost of ownership models.
    • Actively participate in the Hillside Safety Strategy by identifying workplace hazards, participating in risk assessment and conducting workplace safety engagement

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Must have a minimum of 4 – 6 years’ experience in a Heavy Industry/Mining within Maintenance of Mechanical Plant Equipment
    • 2 Years and more experience in Analysis and Improvement is advantageous
    • Experience in various types of plant Mechanical Equipment is essential
    • Experience in Root Cause Analysis and various other Analytical Techniques is advantageous
    • Experience working on SAP is advantageous.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • Degree / BTECH or National Diploma in Mechanical , Electrical and Industrial Engineering

    Engineer Automation - Richards Bay

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a permanent full-time position.

    • As an Engineer Automation, you will provide specialised technical services that helps improve the organization's process and automation and control systems through the review, testing, repair and maintenance of these systems.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Allen Bradley & Aveva Industrial Automation (Wonderware)
    • Computer Systems & Industrial Networks
    • High/ Medium voltage Automation systems will be advantageous.

    • Degree/BTECH/ National Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation/Automation Engineering.

    Clerk of Works - Richards Bay

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a permanent full-time position.

    • As a Clerk Of Works , you will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of materials and workmanship are in accordance with engineer’s drawings and specifications and to monitor and control project execution by ensuring adherence to construction regulations and Hillside HSE procedures.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Load the necessary SAP notifications and ensure that work execution is catered for during plant prioritization meetings;
    • Facilitate and ensure that all project contractors have the required authority to work onsite;
    • Assist with any requirements for site establishment;
    • Monitor and report on project progress to Project Engineers;
    • Liaise with contractors, engineers and the project superintendent on all project matters;
    • Check that standards, building/construction regulations, health and safety and legal requirements are met and adhered to;
    • Ensure advance scheduling of contractors/vendors;
    • Ensure removal of all project equipment and spares upon completion of the project;
    • Ensure all Contractors and equipment entering site have been verified and audited to comply to applicable Hillside Contractor Management standards;
    • Manage and ensure that Contractor safety files and all required project documentation is accurately completed and available for audit or verification;
    • Ensure that daily activities are safely executed and as per the project plan;
    • Manage housekeeping at all times to ensure a safe work environment.

    ABOUT YOU:

    • You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:
    • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in construction;
    • Basic SAP knowledge;
    • Previous supervision;
    • Basic project management.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • N4 Technical certificate;
    • Trade tested Artisan.

    Trainer Mining - Mamatwan Mine

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a permanent full-time position.

    • As a trainer mining, you will be responsible to provide theoretical and practical training and assessments, as well as follow up training and coaching in the Mining field to meet organizational objectives.

    Specialist Health, Safety &Environment - Richards Bay

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • This role is a permanent full-time position.
    • As a Specialist Health, Safety & Environment , you will be responsible to supports the successful delivery of the Hillside HSER Strategy at departmental level. The purpose of the role is to assist departmental Line Managers with effective execution of HSER deliverable to ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements and continual improvement in departmental HSER performance.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Develop and implement departmental HSER related Standard Operating Procedures;
    • Audit files and all related HSE documents;
    • Interface with departmental leadership to ensure departmental alignment with the overall Hillside HSER business plan and deliverables;
    • Discuss, record and signoff of findings in inspection reports;
    • Develop, maintain, and review departmental baseline risk registers;
    • Follow up and close out all preventative and corrective actions;
    • Monitor compliance to required controls, procedures, and applicable legislation;
    • Analyze trends and report to line Managers;
    • Facilitate hazard and event investigations and ensure quality outcomes;
    • Challenge line on identified gaps (e.g. reporting, safety standard compliance, risks and hazards, etc.);
    • Audit and verify the effective implementation of controls and compliance to legal and other requirement;
    • Conduct and participate in internal Audit in respective areas;
    • Provide service and support in any incident or emergency;
    • Drive proactive hazard reporting in the department;
    • Participate in Emergency drills;
    • A proven track record of implementing safety interventions within a workforce comprising of shift workers, contractors, and dayshift staff with proven results.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Must have minimum of 4 - 6 years’ experience in safety management in a heavy industrial environment;
    • Experience in ICAM methodology is advantageous;
    • In depth knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act, No 85 of 1993 is advantageous;
    • In depth knowledge of ISO is advantageous.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • Serious contenders will have a Degree / B-Tech/ National Diploma in Health & Safety or Environment.
