    Commercial Quality Manager & Responsible Pharmacist

    Tasks and Responsibilities: 

    Managing Commercial Quality Function and Responsible Pharmacist in South Africa for the Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health South Africa (BIAHZA) legal entity by ensuring the implementation of a standardized Quality Management System in Animal Health (AH) business unit with the following Accountabilities and Compliance with all relevant Acts and Regulations:

    • Fulfill the function of the Responsible Pharmacist
    • Owner of the Quality Management System
    • GxP responsible towards the authorities
    •  Local Pharmaceutical Complaint Officer (LPCO)
    • Product Supply Support
    • Management of External Service Providers
    • Fulfill the function of the Authorized Representative for Medical Devices
    •  Compliance Responsibility
    • Release Responsible

    Requirements: 

    • Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutics
    • Solid experience of 5-7 years in a commercial quality related role in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in the Animal Health industry. 
    • Strong knowledge of local and international acts/regulations/guidelines concerning GDP/GMP and Quality Assurance
    • Strong knowledge of the legal requirements of a Responsible Pharmacist
    • Very good communication and inter-cultural skills
    • Interdisciplinary thinking and open communication
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, assertiveness, decision-making ability

    Territory Manager Companion Animals

    Tasks & responsibilities:

    • Deliver sales targets and product market shares in line with Marketing plan.
    • Prepare and conduct the required number of visits by customer segment and report accordingly.
    • Detail and sell BIAH products in line with the agreed positioning.
    • Identify further customer needs based on providing solutions to increase customer relation and intimacy.
    • Provide market intelligence on pricing, positioning and competitive activity to identify critical issues and provide related market/customer analysis.

    Requirements:

    Humans Pharma Sales Representative in KZN | Durban

    Job Summary 

    • Responsible for developing and implementing relevant account plans/Multi-Channel Customer Plans, applying digital tools to enhance customer engagement, and driving commercial success.
    • Engage with key targeted healthcare providers, hospital accounts (for account reps), or integrated networks (for network reps), etc., by delivering tailored product/solution messages that articulate the product/solution benefit in line with customer objectives.
    • Collaborate with internal and external teams to drive holistic solutions for customers and patients aligned with the CSFs of the brand strategy.

    Tasks & Responsibilities:

    • Customer Planning & Discovery: Leverages data-driven insights and digital technology, discovers customer needs, creates relevant account plans/Multi-Channel Customer Plans and develops strategic goals and engagement strategy to address customer needs, brand strategy and to optimize allocation of key resources.
    • Customer Engagement & Plan Execution: Consistently achieves sales goals and/or KPI results. Executes relevant account plans/Multi-Channel Customer Plans efficiently and effectively, fosters discussion around customer needs and uncovers relevant joint opportunities. Utilizes product knowledge, targeted patient profiles and hybrid customer engagement skills to influences targeted customer stakeholders.
    • Feedback Gathering, Plan Adjustment & Learnings Sharing: Fosters ongoing trust with customer as relationship develops by actively addressing customer requests and needs, being empathetic, actively listening, and establishing rapport. Adapts to changing CSFs based on internal and external environments. Routinely shares best practices with internal colleagues.
    • Cross-Functional Orchestration & Collaboration: Works collaboratively with cross-functional partners in customer discovery and customer engagement. Coordinates with co-promotion partners and BI employees to implement tailored communication approach and negotiation strategies and to avoid potential conflict.
    • Compliance Adherence & Continued Learning: Follows internal/external regulatory and compliance standards and leads with business integrity. Accepts responsibility of personal development by self-reflecting, being receptive to coaching, and actively embracing learning opportunities to deepen knowledge in therapeutic area, product, competitor, healthcare landscape, and gain proficiency in digital technology and tools.

    Requirements: 

    Qualifications:

    • Tertiary education preferably Medical or General Sciences e.g. B.Sc. / Teaching / Clinical
    • Technicians / Biokinetics / Nursing (Needs to deal with medical terminology in discussing medical literature)
    • Previous, recent & relevant pharmaceutical sales experience essential to Specialists, beneficial to GPs.
    • Previous experience in cardiovascular diseases or diabetes would be beneficial.
