    Junior Student Advisor (Sales) - Cape Town Campus

    Key Performance Areas:

    Student Acquisition:

    • Achieve monthly / annual individual appointment and application targets.
    • Plan, schedule and attend visits to allocated schools and universities for expos, career fairs, presentations, Gen V workshops, graduate recruitment programmes (GRP).
    • Represent IIE-Vega at open days, expos, career fairs, presentations, Gen V workshops, graduate recruitment programmes (GRP) and other campus-based events favorably to generate interest in full-time / part-time qualifications and quality leads.
    • Initiate appropriate sales drives and promotional activities to generate leads / enquiries and to convert enquiries into applications.
    • Attending to all leads and enquiries within an hour (during normal business hours, on weekdays).
    • Continuous monitoring and assistance of all queries (website, email, telephonic, TAWK, WhatsApp) with the intent to convert into applications.
    • Maintains adherence to quality standards and guidelines to ensure the best customer service for both brands, at all times.
    • Achieve monthly / annual individual registration targets.

    Relationship Management:

    • Establish and foster productive relationships with teachers, principals and other relevant partners.
    • Build and manage relationships with current students (rollover), prospective students (new) and their parents at all relevant touchpoints during the application process to the standards agreed.
    • Attend to queries from students / parents timeously to ensure a positive service experience for prospective students.
    • Conduct appointments with prospective students to gain insights into their needs and provide feedback on the appropriate IIE-Vega qualification that suits their needs.
    • Keeps regular records (STASY, appointment forms) of interaction/ engagement with prospective students (telephone conversations / appointments / email enquiries / open days / events).
    • Receive, evaluate, process and report on applications and registrations from prospective students.
    • Provide applicants with regular feedback on their application status and implement regular sales and marketing initiatives to convert applications into registrations.

    Database Administration:

    • Capture data in respect of student leads, appointments, applications and registrations timeously and accurately into STASY.
    • Complete STASY workflow to ensure that automated communication triggers are maintained.
    • Keep updated records of interactions/ engagement with prospective students (telephone conversations / appointments / email enquiries / open days / events).
    • Keep accurate record of the conversions from application to registration using the registration report and STASY.

    Sales Administration:

    • Creation of student file containing the student’s relevant application documents (Student ID, latest results, application form, POP).
    • Capturing and reporting of all appointments into STASY and to MS Teams folder.
    • Processing of applications on STASY ensuring accurate capturing of all student information.
    • Request application confirmation letters.
    • Prepare sales figures and statistics as required
    • Follow up on payments for applications, pre-registrations, and registrations.
    • Request study visa letters / conditional registration letters where applicable timeously.
    • Follow the appropriate admission processes. Upload admission queries to STASY / SATS where required.

    Customer Relations Officer

    Education:

    Work Experience:

    • 1-3 years Administration or Academic Assistant Experience (preferably in an academic environment).

    Key Performance Areas:

    Academic Management:

    • Manages and organise Registration Week and Co-ordinates Orientation Week
    • Manages specific student portfolio to optimise student experience
    • Primary contact person for all academic issues on allocated portfolio of students
    • Provides assessment dates and academic material & any other student related information to lecturers and students
    • Provides link between the student and the lecturers to deal with concerns proactively

    Student Liaison and Counselling support

    • Monitors performance of "at risk" and potentially "at risk" students to involve parents proactively where necessary.
    • Refers specific student cases to Wellness Navigator for counselling, e.g time management skills, study skills or crises counselling management
    • Builds relationship with students and direct them to correct person to assist with either academic or emotional challenges.
    • Facilitates the process whereby students adjust to the tertiary environment by coordinating student support services
    • Presents a very visible presence to students from orientation throughout the course of their studies to ease the adjustment for them
    • Encourages student to participate in various wellness initiatives taking place on campus e.g blood donation, Discovery Health checks etc

    Student Administration and Recordkeeping:

    • Manages each student physical and electronic student file (current and past students) by ensuring correct documentation is available and recorded
    • Continuously track International student visa status, conditional admissions and special concessions
    • Maintains and updates all relevant student records on the System for Academic Management (SAM)
    • Coordinates the registration process and ensures that each student is registered correctly
    • Coordinates the graduation process by updating systems and coordinating all academic logistics for the graduation ceremony, eg certificates, awards
    • Responsible for verifying student results, releasing CASS and Final Results
    • Manages all assessment cycles in collaboration with the Assessment Navigator (Officer)

    Marketing Assistance & Support:

    • Provide support with the coordination and set up as needed for *events listed below, and this includes the following:
    • Coordinate and update the campus event calendar, working closely with Campus Navigator the Academic Support Coordinator, Student Recruitment Co-Navigator and campus management team on the campus marketing and events plan.
    • Coordinate logistical aspects of event planning and on the day logistics, such as venue bookings, invitations, posters, setup, signage, quotes, POs and payments, photographs, catering arrangements, running errands related to the event, break-down etc for all *marketing or student recruitment/sales related events and *campus specific related events.
    • Support the Campus Navigator and Academic Support Coordinator in ensuring that health and safety requirements are factored into event planning, particularly if alcohol is served at the event.
    • Adhere to approved event budget and PO process.
    • Supply the national marketing team with a blurb short write up for social media content and photographs from events.
    • Participates in campus promotional activities to promote graduate and postgraduate studies to new and existing students including career fairs, open days etc.
    • Calls prospective students to invite them to Open Days and/or other campus marketing events.
    • Calls RSVPs list to remind them of events and provide further information

    Administrative Support to CN Team:

    • Assists CN to capture data in respect of prospective student leads (interest cards), appointments and applications ensuring all relevant information is captured timeously and accurately.
    • Assists CN to develop and maintain schools, teachers / principals, agency, industry and corporate databases.
    • Working co-operatively with the Head: Student Recruitment with respect to all database statistics for marketing reports i.e. (Presentation Trackers and all relevant sales reports).
    • Provides support as required during App season for the Student Advisors diary management (Booking & confirmation of appointments, appointment form preparations, follow up on cancellations and no shows and confirmation of presentations with schools).
    • Provide general administration to support the Campus Navigator and SRCN for acquisition (e.g. reports, workshop packs, preparing venues, keeping minutes of meetings, photocopies, printing and placing notices and posters).
    • Calling to support the student recruitment team in Reg season peak periods, this includes database calling, as well as calling of interviews & applicants as required by the Head: Student Recruitment to support the CNs.
    • Capture event lead cards on Excel for bulk upload such as Open day, Vibe,RFR Leads. Responsible for the integrity of data in STASY relating to the information held for prospective students and applicants. Specifically, basic demographic and contact information as relevant for CNs to complete their role in the process.
    • Form part of the campus registration team during the registration period. Responsibilities include: Following up on student documents, follow-up on payment pending apps and rate accordingly, offer letter acceptance and pre-reg payment.
    • Responsible for all marketing stock and promotional materials that are used for sales acquisition activities. This includes monitoring and replenishment of stock in line with anticipating upcoming sales acquisition events and corresponding stock levels.
    • Ensure that Fact Sheets are topped up and displayed neatly in the reception area.
    • Prepare school drop off gift bags; gifts and collateral in line with Vega look and feel.
    • Receive and check marketing items that are received from national. 

    General Support:

    • Any ad hoc duties as stipulated from time-to-time by the Head: Student Recruitment (Full Time).
    • Relieve reception/frontline navigator during lunches or stand in at reception when the Frontline Navigator may not be available on the campus telephone tracing line - in conjunction with AA.

    Lecturer: Principles Of Video And Photography (Independent Contractor)

    Preferred Education:

    Ideal:

    • 3 year Diploma or Advance Certificate in Photography with Video Application qualification. 

    Alternatively:

    Lecturer: Digital Imaging (Independent Contractor)

    Preferred Education:

    • Advanced certificate or higher (NQF6 qualification or higher). 
    • The position requires a person with a qualification in photography.  
    • Practising photographers will be an advantage, specifically a studio photographer.

    Work Experience

    • ​Lecturing experience in Adobe Creative Suite specifically a good understanding of Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for this module.

    Programme Manager - Brand And Communication Strategy

    Preferred Education: 

    • Master's degree in the field or and equivalent at NQF level 9, but a PhD is preferred. 

     
    Have a background in at least two of the following areas of specialization:

    • Brand Strategy

    Key Performance Areas:

    Academic Management and Leadership 

    • Review the development and implementation of the curriculum, subject to the policies and governance procedures of the IIE. 
    • Ensure that the curriculum meets industry needs, given external and internal stakeholder inputs. 
    • Continuously track local and global field developments to ensure the brand delivers relevant and current curricula and meets stakeholder needs. 
    • Identify opportunities for the innovation of the curriculum and deliver enhancements according to IIE requirements and development cycles. 
    • Provide guidance and input to the IIE's Instructional Designers on the design of learning experiences and assessments suitable to the discipline. 
    • Establish and maintain effective interaction between the campuses and faculty/department concerning the particular programmes or modules for which s/he is responsible. 
    • Act as a central point for all material and assessment queries and escalate these as required. 
    • Identify, brief and monitor programme and module developers and quality assurance of their outputs. 
    • Provide advice on assessment queries and incidents when requested 
    • Analyse and respond to Quality Assurance feedback such as Programme Reviews and external moderation reports. 
    • Identify moderators for the designated modules, review moderators' feedback and advise problem-solving strategies when required. 
    • Support capacity building on campuses and lecture/supervise (contact or distance) on a cyclical basis. 
    • Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of all IIE policies. 
    • Participate in and contribute to the IIE/brand/faculty's scholarly activities, particularly research seminars and workshop programmes.

     Brand Strategy and Marketing and Sales support: 

    • Participate in the strategic planning of the Vega Brand 
    • Provide specialist knowledge and support to the national marketing and sales team. 
    • Review programme-specific marketing material.  

    Campus Support: 

    • Guide module Lecturers and Discipline leaders nationally in the implementation of module material and assessments. 
    • Track student performance, in collaboration with teaching and learning managers, in designated programmes and advise, when requested, 
    • Provide guidance to campuses in the selection, approval and development of the teaching team in the cognate area. 
    • Orientate campuses on new programme developments and trends. 
    • Provide leadership, in collaboration with the campus academic teams and operations teams to co-ordinate and plan resource allocation for all aspects of running a successful programme e.g. Competitions, Activations, Simulations, Game Jams, Portfolio Nights, Hackathons etc. 
    • Screen and approve Lecturer appointments via APS for Vega-managed modules. 

    Professional Relationships, Research and Scholarship: 

    • Develop and maintain relationships with industry and academics in the field and/or discipline. 
    • Academic positioning of IIE's brand professional training and development for the world of work. 
    • Practice scholarship by engaging with/in professional bodies, conferences, external partner faculty boards, external moderation panels, and committees. 
    • Contribute to the development of the brand's research culture. 
    • Deliver research outputs as agreed and in line with career progression and postgraduate studies.

    Education:

    • Conducts regular and periodic testing of ICT testing equipment in campus venues to ensure operability, including but not limited to:

    • Liaises with service provides on information technology equipment and maintenance thereof
