    Fica Specialist - Umhlanga

    Job Description

    The iKhokha talent team is hiring for a FICA Specialist. 

    We are looking for a professional individual with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills to take on the role. 

    So, what will you do?  

    You will be responsible for onboarding iKhokha merchants and facilitate a seamless and efficient FICA verification process. 

     In addition to the above, you will:  

    • Increase onboarding conversion/activation through efficient handling time across CRM platform 
    • Identify outstanding FICA requirements and proactively request these documents from onboarding agents 
    • Keep onboarding agents informed of all changes and processes. Follow up on outstanding requirements from onboarding specialist 
    • Provide unsurpassed service excellence to promote efficient turnaround times to achieve merchant retention and loyalty 
    • Ensure that call and ticket SLA’s are met as defined with the Team Leader and Line Manager 
    • Interact with escalations of onboarding agents daily, responding to their questions or concerns and guiding them to the appropriate requirements 
    • Verify all documents and information captured on a merchants profile, including identity information to ensure seamless onboarding and trading experience 
    • Interpret all FICA checks to establish if the merchant meets iKhokha’s requirements in order to be a legit business trader 
    • Understand the various different business entities and conduct the necessary FICA checks for those entities to ensure compliance and prevent money laundering 
    • Ensure attention to detail when capturing merchant information efficiently and accurately 
    • Request outstanding documents from onboarding specialist to ensure profile completion from merchants 
    • Escalate urgent queries that require input from senior management 
    • Ensure proper escalations when any systems or tools are down and that proper communication is rendered to the Team Leader and Line Manager

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of a matric qualification. 

    Deal Breakers:  

    • 1 – 2 years FICA experience with exposure to FAIS. 
    • Must have experience in MS office 
    • Exposure to CRM platforms 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a specific focus on customer service 
    • Data capturing and detail orientation with a good understanding of FICA requirements 
    • Effective communication skills with good telephone and email etiquette 
    • Ability to handle pressure and large volumes of work with speed and accuracy

    You will be responsible for growing the iKhokha customer base and be accountable for hitting steep sales targets in Mpumalanga Lowveld regions

    In addition to the above, you will: 

    • Prospect and canvass for new customers in targeted areas and targeted industries 
    • Post-sale call and follow ups, logging all activity and demos with clients          
    • Promotional or new product upsell/cross sell/service calls 
    • Research new sales leads, plan country trips and execute plans to acquire new customers 
    • Ensure all set company Gross Profit, Device sales and Demo targets are achieved on a monthly & quarterly basis 
    • Complete feedback loops as required which includes Swarm and demo feedback and HubSpot usage and deal pipeline management 
    • Provide proactive feedback regarding suggested changes or improvements to sales or service procedures that could improve the business                      
    • Sign-up merchants and assist them with FICA documentation required 
    • Complimentary follow up visits 
    • Full focus on specialized campaigns and reporting in detail on this such as top merchant campaign or area targeted campaigns 
    • Uphold company standards and values at all times when representing the brand 
    • Monitor competition in the marketplace and share any relevant insights 
    • Take full ownership and accountability for resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, offering solutions and making recommendations to management. 
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through ongoing self and shared learning.

    Qualifications

    • Completed Matric 

    Deal breakers: 

    • Minimum 3 year’s Field/Outbound Sales experience. 
    • Previous exposure working within merchant services or banking sector is advantageous. 
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.                             
    • Intermediate knowledge using Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Sales Software & CRM.             
    • FICA training advantageous.                                                                
    • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport is essential.

    • SLA’s are met for every client.
    • Ensuring all applications are complete and submitted timeously.
    • Liaising with clients and other departments within the business to ensure the clients is serviced timeously.
    • Communication with all clients on all platforms are done timeously.

    Qualifications

    • Completed Matric/Grade 12.

    Deal Breakers: 

    • 1 - 2 years call centre experience.
    • 2 - 4 years sales experience.
    • Business to business sales expertise.

    Dashboard and Report Design:

    Collaboration with Stakeholders: 

    • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including business managers, domain experts, and IT teams. They need to effectively communicate technical concepts, present and translating their findings into Business insights, and understand the requirements and objectives of the stakeholders. 

    Qualifications

    • BSc Applied Mathematics / Statistics or Data Science or BCOM Informatics / Computer Science. 
    • Excel and Power BI certifications are preferable 

    Deal breakers: 

    • 5-7 years’ experience in a Data Analyst Role. 
    • Must have experience working directly with Data teams (Including BI analysts, Data Analysts, Data engineers and Business Analysts) and have good exposure to various business functions.(Operations, Marketing, Sales, Finance). 
    • Expert Level in Excel. 
    • Competent in building data models in PowerBI. 
    • Competent in SQL Queries, views, stored procedures & Python. 
    • Has experience in working in Agile Environments.(Scrum | Kanban) and previously worked in a data warehouse environment.  

    Additional Skills & Knowledge: 

    • Solid Experience in Data wrangling, Data Cleaning and Data Visualization. 
    • Previous industry experience in Financial services and / or Data Analysis| analytics environment would be an advantage. 
    • Good understanding of the Data Analysis Landscape and techniques. 
    • Good understanding of how SLDC works in a Data driven environment. 
    • General Knowledge of the DMBOK framework would be advantageous. 
    • Excellent Statistical Analysis and mathematics skills, Solid understanding of Mathematical foundations. 
    • Problem solving and critical thinking ability none-negotiable. 
    • Attention to detail and quality none negotiable. 
    • Must be able to constantly engage business on all levels – Mandatory as this isn’t a back office role, it requires significant engagement with business to identify problems and solve them. 
    • Participation and active engagement in the defined internal processes.(SDLC). 
    • Must have experience in various Data Governance Functions, Such as Data Quality. 

    Business Understanding:  

    • A good understanding of how various functional areas within a business work: Sales | Marketing | Finance | HR | Logistics | Operations. 
    • A good understanding of how card transactions and the online payment industry works. 
    • A very good understanding of the Data and product management domain
