    Candidate Attorney (Fixed-term Contract)

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Lecturer: Communication Design

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Lecturing

    • Lecture on Management specific programmes (must lecture on an IIE qualification) across various modes of delivery where relevant.

    ICT Support

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Desktop Support

    • Answers, evaluates and prioritises logged requests for assistance from users requiring assistance with catalogue of services requests
    • Logs and tracks calls using the incident and problem management database provided through the service desk

    Student Relations Specialist

    The IIE MSA Ruimsig Campus in Roodepoort has a vacancy for a Student Relations Specialist. 

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Student Registration and Academic Progression Counselling

    • Facilitates consultations with students in cases where a change is required to their current registration contract, e.g. this could be for students who wish to change within a semester, between semesters or between years of study.
    • Works with the Admission Centre to understand different curriculum scenarios (e.g. phase-in and phase-out etc.) to ensure that the student is advised correctly.
    • Supports the Senior Student Relations Specialist, Campus Deputy Head and/or Head: Academic Operations and/or Deputy Head: Academic Operations in co-ordinating the Retention Project on campus.                                                                                                           

    Active Student Engagement and Support                                       

    • Delivers the academic orientation programme for new and returning students by means of programme information presentations, an overview of pertinent academic policies and an outline of the academic year etc.

    Admissions Officer

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Student Application & Admission Administration

    • Collaborates with the campus student retention team to generate student admissions related queries.
    • Follows up with the campus retention team for missing student information in order to finalise all student admissions related queries.
    • Evaluates retention student admissions against the set admission criteria and communicates the appropriate outcomes.
    • Liaises with the campus student retention team during the admission evaluation process and assessment.

    Part - Time (Independent Contractor): Intellectual Integrity Officer

    • The IIE Varsity College, Pretoria Campus has a vacancy for an Intellectual Integrity Officer (Independent Contractor)

    Key Performance Areas:

    • The selected candidate will be responsible for managing all reported plagiarism cases on campus with a particular focus on upskilling students in a supportive and developmental manner.
    • The Intellectual Integrity Officer (IIO) will work with the Information Specialists to promote good referencing practices. This includes initiatives to adequately support and develop undergraduate and postgraduate students’ referencing and academic writing skills.
    • The IIO will be at the forefront of leading out intellectual integrity and must be able to guide, motivate and develop lecturers’ approach to intellectual integrity. This includes lecturer training and support in identifying academic dishonesty, interpreting similarity reports, and flagging students.
    • Identifying areas that require development for the improvement of intellectual integrity and the overall quality of academic writing on campus. This could include workshops, training, and additional resources offered in combination with the writing- and information centers.
    • Investigate flagged assessments to fairly determine the type of offense and its outcomes, where applicable.
    • The Intellectual Integrity Officer will liaise with students, lecturers, the academic team, and the Results Centre to ensure all reported cases are finalized and results captured on time based on module-specific deadlines.

    Overall Job Purpose: 

    • The position is responsible for the delivery of allocated administrative tasks related to academic and operational delivery which may include tasks associated to finance, material development and delivery, moderation, graduation and support to the administrative team.
