    Document Controller

    Responsible:

    • High School Diploma (Grade 12) required.
    •  A minimum of 5 years of experience in the EPC industry as a Document Controller.
    •  Proficient in working with ISO 9001 accredited Document Management Systems, ensuring strict compliance with  standards and procedures.
    •  Familiarity with document control processes and systems in project settings, including expertise in interfacemanagement with vendors, consultants, and clients.
    •  Understanding of engineering documents and approval processes within projects.
    •  Hands-on experience with document management systems such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Aconex, or  similar platforms.
    •  Knowledgeable in Records Management and archiving practices.

    Junior Legal Counsel – Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy

    OVERVIEW

    Aurex Constructors (Pty) Ltd is a dynamic player in the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sector, committed to sustainable practices and innovation. As part of our growth, we are seeking a skilled Junior Legal Counsel to join our Legal, Compliance & Governance team.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    •  Minimum 3 to 5 years post articles experience in litigation, labour law, commercial law, and contract law.
    •  Must be an Admitted Attorney to the High Court of South Africa.
    •  Must have a LL. B Degree.
    •  Experience in the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energy sector.
    •  Familiarity with NEC 3 and FIDIC suite agreements.

    MAIN OBJECTIVES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Litigation and Legal Support

    •  Support in litigation matters and engagement with external legal counsel.
    •  Provide legal advice on labour law, commercial law, and contract law matters. Sector-Specific Expertise
    •  Advantageous if candidate possesses experience in the construction or engineering sector within the energy industry.

    Contract Drafting and Review

    •  Draft and review contracts with a focus on the NEC 3 and FIDIC suite agreements.

    Debt Collection and Insurance Law

    •  Handle debt collection procedures, including the issuance of letters of demand.
    •  Knowledge and experience of insurance law including but not limited to public liability and professional indemnity insurance matters.

    Commercial Document Review

    •  Review and analyse general commercial documents such as credit applications and leaseagreements.

    Company Secretarial Duties

    •  Advantageous if candidate has experience in Company Secretarial functions.

    HR – Business Partner

    EDUCATION

    •  Minimum of a completed Degree/Diploma in Human Resources.
    •  Minimum 10 years’ experience as an HR practitioner.
    •  At least 5 years within the Construction/Renewable energy environment.
    •  Experience working with mass direct field labour mobilisations.
    •  Must be computer literate.
    •  Knowledge of compliance and corporate governance.
    •  Solid knowledge of SA employment legislation, performance management and remuneration.
    •  Experience and knowledge in cross border work i.e. Namibia and Mozambique will be beneficial.

    TECHNICAL COMPETENCY

    •  Must be able to communicate in English, both written and verbal.
    •  Must be able to plan work accordingly to meet tight deadlines and cope under pressure.
    •  Must be able to work in a team driven environment.
    •  Be proactive with sound judgement.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  Workforce Planning and Talent Management: Collaborating with construction project managers and department heads to understand current and future workforce needs, and developing strategies to attract, retain, and develop talent in alignment with business goals.
    •  Recruitment and Onboarding: Overseeing the recruitment process for various positions on projects, ensuring timely mobilisation of qualified personnel.
    •  Establish relationships with relevant Government authorities and continuously identify areas where local policies / adaptations need to established.
    •  Employee Relations: Acting as a mediator and advisor in resolving conflicts and grievances between employees and management, ensuring fair and equitable treatment in compliance with labour laws and company policies.
    •  HR Policy Development and Implementation: Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures specific to the construction industry, considering unique challenges and regulations such as union agreements, prevailing wage laws, and OSHA requirements.
    •  Strategic HR Planning: Partnering with senior management to develop long-term HR strategies that support the overall business objectives of the company. This may involve workforce forecasting, succession planning, and talent pipelining.
    •  Prepare, update and issue monthly manpower reports.
    •  Support HR: Systems & Administration on People’s App and to ensure that all personnel records are accurately maintained and kept up to date.
    •  Support any training needs for project staff.
    •  Participate in and support IR processes and disciplinary matters.
    •  Work closely with client’s HR and IR teams and understand the client’s requirements.

    Estimator – SMP

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    •  Minimum of 7-10 years estimating experience with a proven track record to develop professional and successful tenders in Structural, Mechanical and Piping Projects.
    •  BTech / Degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying.

    COMPETENCIES AND ATTRIBUTES

    •  Client centric with the ability to continuously build and improve relationships with clients and supply chain.
    •  Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
    •  Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
    •  Must be able to set an example of integrity and professionalism.
    •  Must be able to provide detailed guidance on schedule development.
    •  Develop and cost estimate construction execution plans.
    •  Must have good construction and engineering contractual knowledge.
    •  Must be computer literate, specifically with MS Office Suite and CCS (Candy).

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  Prepare Structural, Mechanical and Piping estimates as directed by the Estimating Manager or his designate.
    •  Careful and accurate interpretation of tender documents, specifications, and drawings.
    •  Check the overall accuracy of the materials take-off / bills of quantities and specifications issued by the client or preparation material take off.
    •  Preparation of subcontract, materials service provider packages.
    •  Adjudication and negotiation of materials / equipment / subcontract quotations.
    •  Preparation of complete cost estimate in accordance with company work instructions by using norms and procedures.
    •  Co-operate in the introduction of new techniques in estimating.
    •  Carry out site visits as and when required.
    •  Work closely as part of a team when required to ensure synergised preparation of estimates and proposals.
    •  Ensure all company procedures with respect to estimating and procurement are adhered to.
    •  Ensure that detailed spreadsheets are completed and that an accurate bid analysis is carried out on all quotations received. Ensure all the files are maintained as per company QA procedures and full traceability maintained.
    •  Any other guidance as given by the Estimating Manager or his designate
