    HR – Business Partner

    EDUCATION

    •  Minimum of a completed Degree/Diploma in Human Resources.
    •  Minimum 10 years’ experience as an HR practitioner.
    •  At least 5 years within the Construction/Renewable energy environment.
    •  Experience working with mass direct field labour mobilisations.
    •  Must be computer literate.
    •  Knowledge of compliance and corporate governance.
    •  Solid knowledge of SA employment legislation, performance management and remuneration.
    •  Experience and knowledge in cross border work i.e. Namibia and Mozambique will be beneficial.

    TECHNICAL COMPETENCY

    •  Must be able to communicate in English, both written and verbal.
    •  Must be able to plan work accordingly to meet tight deadlines and cope under pressure.
    •  Must be able to work in a team driven environment.
    •  Be proactive with sound judgement.
    •  Honest and open personality

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    •  Workforce Planning and Talent Management: Collaborating with construction project managers and department heads to understand current and future workforce needs, and developing strategies to attract, retain, and develop talent in alignment with business goals.
    •  Recruitment and Onboarding: Overseeing the recruitment process for various positions on projects, ensuring timely mobilisation of qualified personnel.
    •  Establish relationships with relevant Government authorities and continuously identify areas where local policies / adaptations need to established.
    •  Employee Relations: Acting as a mediator and advisor in resolving conflicts and grievances between employees and management, ensuring fair and equitable treatment in compliance with labour laws and company policies.
    •  HR Policy Development and Implementation: Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures specific to the construction industry, considering unique challenges and regulations such as union agreements, prevailing wage laws, and OSHA requirements.
    •  Strategic HR Planning: Partnering with senior management to develop long-term HR strategies that support the overall business objectives of the company. This may involve workforce forecasting, succession planning, and talent pipelining.
    •  Prepare, update and issue monthly manpower reports.
    •  Support HR: Systems & Administration on People’s App and to ensure that all personnel records are accurately maintained and kept up to date.
    •  Support any training needs for project staff.
    •  Participate in and support IR processes and disciplinary matters.
    •  Work closely with client’s HR and IR teams and understand the client’s requirements.
