    Resourcing Specialist Miladys - Durban

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Monitor and analyse key metrics across the sourcing value chain in order to measure supplier performance and highlight potential risks to the business 
    • Participate in developing  and implementing  a short and long term Resource strategy to support the business strategy and merchandise direction 
    • Build strategic supplier relationships and identify new partnerships for long term sustainability.
    • Research and provide new vendor solutions in line with business requirements in order to contribute to the Company's profitability.  
    • Research new supplier territories in order to ensure that we are sourcing competitively.
    • Assist and guide new vendors in understanding of our requirements, policies and procedures   
    • Procure merchandise at the optimal total cost of ownership (TCO) without compromising on quality and timelines,  through negotiation, volume bundling and fabric optimisation.
    •  Re-engineer product for lower costs where necessary while still maintaining required standards.  Negotiate preferred payment terms with suppliers 
    • Oversee the critical path management up to handover to forwarder date  in order to ensure on time delivery of merchandise and correct product execution.
    • Work closely with the Resource coordinator on finding proactive solutions to mitigate any delivery delay impact on the business.
    • Partner with respective merchants in reacting to the trading environment in order to maximise sales   
    • Identify new product and fabric developments in the global market and how they could be adapted for the local market in order to remain relevant and to maximise additional profitability opportunities

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • A completed degree or diploma preferably in Procurement, Sourcing or Clothing Management
    • 1-3 years sourcing experience
    • MS office (Excel)
    • Negotiation Skills
    • Knowledge and understanding of: Corporate Social Responsibility; Sustainable practices; fabric technology; raw materials and manufacturing

    Resourcing Co ordinator Miladys - Durban

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Analysis, Research & Reporting

     

    • Assist with conducting in depth analysis and monitoring of key metrics & KPI's across the sourcing value chain in order to measure supplier performance and highlight potential risks or further opportunities to the business.
    • Assist with identifying new product and fabric developments in the global market and how they could be adapted for the local market in order to remain customer relevant.

    Strategy

    • Participate in developing and implementing a short- and long-term sourcing and supplier strategy to support the business strategic objectives and merchandise direction, whilst ensuring that there is a responsible balance between sourcing territories, sourcing channels, supplier performance, capacity, and capability planning, as well as managing any potential risk to the business.

    Supplier Development & Management

    • Partner with the respective Sourcing Specialist in building strategic supplier relationships and identify new partnerships for long term sustainability.
    • Assist and guide new suppliers in order to ensure their understanding of our requirements, policies and procedures
    • Procurement of Product
    • Partner with the Sourcing Specialist in the procurement of merchandise at the optimal total cost without compromising on product execution, quality and lead-times, through; negotiation, volume bundling and fabric optimisation.
    • Partner with the Sourcing Specialist to re-engineer product for lower costs where necessary while still maintaining required standards and value perception.

    Critical Path Management

     

    • Manage the critical path up to the handover of goods to the forwarder in order to ensure on-time delivery of merchandise in the correct product execution, full order quantity and required quality.
    • Call-out any potential delivery delays to the Sourcing Specialist and work together on finding proactive solutions to mitigate any/minimal delivery delay impact on the business.
    • Partner with respective merchants in reacting to the trading environment in order to maximise sales.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

    • Grade 12 
    •  Relevant degree or diploma would be favourable (e.g. Procurement & Sourcing, Retail Management)

    Experience:

    • 1-2 years’ experience within Product Sourcing

    Graphic Designer Mr Price Sport - Durban

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Develop Ranges

    1. Under the supervision and guidance of the Buyer, conceptualise, plan and develop new styles and/or upgrade existing styles according to the approved seasonal strategy, based on trends and customer demand in order to provide our customers with the wanted product. 

    2. Compile supplier tech packs containing detailed information on the relevant product so that the supplier can provide costings and execute. 

    3. Assist in print and colour approvals. 

    4. Assist in the preparation of marketing briefs, merch mags (VM), inspiration and boards. 

    5. Update packaging, labelling and branding in accordance to seasonal strategies. 

    6. Build design libraries and templates to assist through range builds.

    Current Trade Analysis 

    1. Monitor current trade and analyse the performance of the product in order to identify design opportunities in upcoming seasons

    2. Conduct store visits in order to ensure that product and in store execution is as per briefs.

    Trend Research and Product Development 

    • Conduct competitor shops using local retailers as well as online resource to stay abreast of current trends in fashion and to present to buyer/s with findings on print colour, fabrications, category calls and newness in order to apply learnings to designs.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Clothing Technology, Graphic Design
    • 2 - 5 years experience in graphic design role with clothing design or garment construction experience 
    • Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign CS5 experience 
    • Understanding of fashion retail is essential

    Assistant Store Manager Mr Price - Mpumalanga

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Stock Management:

    • Ensure that stock is accurately received & unpacked to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.
    • Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes to mitigate risks (stock loss) and ensure adequate stock on hand.
    • Oversee the overall maintenance of the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
