    Business Analyst

    Overview    

    • The position requires a dynamic individual to become part of the one Omnia Supply Chain – the position will report to Head of Supply Chain. The Business Solutions Analyst will be responsible for tasks related to the support, testing, business process improvement and projects related to system enablement. The successful candidate must be a team player and be able to handle stressful and difficult situations. The person must have excellent communication skills and ERP reporting knowledge. The successful individual must be able motivate themselves and inspire the people around them.  The individual must exhibit a strong sense of urgency, strong commitment, and work ethics, be able to prioritize tasks and must ensure the delivery of excellent customer service as per timelines.  Travel to Omnia sites is required from time to time.

    Qualifications    

    • Degree in Industrial Engineering 

    Experience    

    • The candidate must have excellent ERP experience 
    • At least 5 -8 years’ experience

    Duties    

    • Analytics to identify and understand the problem
    • Translate business requirements into system specifications
    • Project Management (Implementation and setup of systems & Quality assurance and testing
    • Train users
    • Business process improvement
    • Implementation and setup of systems

    Additional Opportunities

    The job may also entail:

    • Provide input into related ERP Modules
    • Assistance with the Development of BI Models
    • Assistance with reporting requirements

    Job Competencies    

    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Attention to detail but maintaining a view of the overall solution

    Shared Service Practitioner (HC)

    Overview    

    • To enable the Human Resource Business Partner  by performing end to end employee life cycle tasks for the designated entities.
    • All activities, roles and responsibilities are aligned to the world class philosophy, principles and practices.

    Qualifications    

    • Matric
    • Bachelor’s Degree in HR/ Industrial Psychology or related field

    Experience    

    • 2 – 5 years Coordinator in an HR environment
    • Strong administration skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail
    • Effective time management skills with the ability to multitask and follow through
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure

    Job Competencies

    Blasting Assistant Trainee/s

    Overview    

    • As part of our commitment to contribute positively in uplifting our host communities BME & Valterra Platinum Mine (Mogalakwena) is undertaking a community skills development initiative targeting out of school/unemployed youth (Youth - as defined in the National Youth Commission Act 19 of 1996) in the Mogalakwena Municipality areas specifically the Valterra Platinum Mine as host communities.

    Qualifications    

    • Matric with English, Mathematics and Physical Science (with a minimum 40% pass rate respectively)

    Experience    

    • No experience required

    Duties    

    • Risk assessment and Safe work declarations to be done with the blaster at the place of work before entering workplace as per client requirements.
    • Assisting the blaster for preparing the blast / charge-up area by meeting all the statutory, legal, client and BME requirements/standards/prescriptions
    • Together with the Blaster, inspects the site to determine the target block and to plan the blasting process
    • Marks off the working area by erecting the prescribed barricading material as prescribed by the client
    • Required to map the holes to ensure that all the required holes correctly placed
    • Required to measure and check the depth of the holes, and to ensure that they are all correctly drilled within the prescribed parameters
    • In the event of detecting any deviations from prescriptions, responsible for behaving assertively and taking the necessary steps to rectify matters, e.g., by interacting and communicating to mine staff, drill contractor or the Foreman
    • On instruction from the Blaster, required to collect the correct accessories to carry out the blasting assignment successfully
    • Responsible to place all detonators and boosters at the collar of the hole to prepare for priming of the blast holes as per the blast plan issued by the mine.
    • Responsible for priming the holes by carefully inserting detonators into boosters, attaching weigh-down material to the primer, and lower this primer in the hole under the supervision of the blaster.

    Job Competencies    

    • Able to speak read and write in English
    • No criminal record
    • No illegal drugs and/or substances abuse
    • Medically fit
