KEY FUNCTIONS: 

Handling Pill Machine:

• Transport wool to machine.
• Machine should run freely without any strange noises and tension. Ensure the maintenance of pill machine.
• Ensure the machine are continuously feed with wool and properly handled.
• Storage of batches at the specified marked storage area.
• Ensure that the pill machine is clean.
• Ensure that safety covers over moving parts are in place.
• Inventory control of all batches done.

Health and Safety: 

• Adhering to the rules and regulations of Health and Safety
• Always maintain save and clean working area.
• Wear safety equipment, PPE as prescribed.
• Maintain a clean and neat working environment.

Ad Hoc: 

• To perform any other ad hoc activities/duties/tasks/ as requested by his/her superior anywhere in the plant (BKB)
• All lawful work instructions must be performed.

We need:

• Grade 12
• Basic Knowledge of warehouse functioning.
• Traceable references of previous maintenance work.
• Must be able to work in a team.
• Be prepared to work overtime and shifts when required to do so.
• Be prepared to work for long hours under pressure.
• Be physically fit and in good health.
• Valid forklift license
• Valid driver’s license

KEY FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for maintenance:

• Ensure that hydraulic presses and high-density presses are kept in working condition to maintain productivity
• Ensuring that forklifts are 100% working condition to ensure high productivity levels are maintained.
• Ensure that conveyer belts are kept in working condition.
• Responsible for the checking of company motor vehicles before they exit the BKB premises, and upon their return to the BKB premises.
• Any maintenance/repairs required, for example, plumbing, carpentry etc.

Forklift:

• Assist with forklift duties, when requested to by supervisor.
• Removal of wool, machinery etc. from the trucks and move to the requested area by the supervisor.

 Quality Control:

• Compliance with applicable ISO standards
• Ensure that all the machinery in the Wool store is repaired and kept in a working condition.

 Ad Hoc:

• Perform any other ad hoc activities/duties/tasks/ as requested by the supervisor or management in the plant (BKB)
• Assist and follow any and verbal instructions that is being given by management/supervisor.

Health and safety: 

• Always maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Report any safety hazards in the working environment to your supervisor/management.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in Agricultural or Marketing with 2 years’ marketing experience
• At least 3 years’ experience in the Livestock environment

• Strong sales, negotiation and communication skills

• Responsible for effective and efficient logistics and administrative processes.
• Responsible for receiving and offloading of animals where necessary
• Gathering of producer information to facilitate effective planning of marketing
• Provide excellent customer services
• General auction site organization and related functions
• Management of wages employees
