    VP Operations Integration and Reporting

    The incumbent will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and provide direct output support to the COO by providing a business integration function between the operations and the corporate disciplines. 

    This includes coordinating all activities required to direct and support the operations to deliver company expectations.

    Qualifications            

    • Degree qualification in a relevant mining-related technical discipline. A relevant business qualification (eg, MBA) (desirable).

    Experience            

    At least 10 years relevant, successful senior management experience in mining. Well-developed networks with the operations (desirable).

    Competencies 

    • Technical /knowledge: Sound understanding of components and key drivers of the mining value chain  including geology, mining, processing engineering and maintenance.

    Work Accountabilities:

    • Contribute to a collaborative cross-functional working relationship with the heads of each BU (SVP’s) to:
    • Report on safety and production metrics.
    • Track actions and monitor progress.
    • Co-ordinate COO calendar including reviews and meetings.
    • Prepare quarterly and ad-hoc Board presentations.
    • Prepare and manage the COO budget, and
    • Communicate COO imperatives.
    • Reporting: Collate weekly production and safety reports from the Business Units to produce a consolidated weekly and monthly reports and updated quarterly and annual outlooks. This requires an in-depth understanding of each operation and ongoing analysis is needed to flag current and emerging challenges and risks.
    • Tracking Delivery: Capture and distribute clear and concise actions and tasks assigned by the COO to each site and Business Unit. The register needs to be closely managed with all operations to ensure work is executed timeously and any issues are elevated proactively.
    • Co-ordination: Work closely with all Business Units and operations to establish management routines as required to monitor operational performance and delivery. This includes an annual calendar with COO reviews as needed for budgeting and supporting key group initiatives such as Full Asset Potential.
    • Reporting: Prepare the quarterly Board report including an overview of safety, production and cost performance noting risks and opportunities. Key operational challenges across the portfolio need to be documented along with mitigating actions.
    • Communication: Prepare quarterly communications from the COO to the operational managers to discuss performance and clarify imperatives. This should link to the Deferred Share Plan (DSP) estimated scores and give clear direction of priorities.

    People Accountabilities:

    • Support the COO to execute all HR requirements related to performance management, career development (MOR’s) and talent management.
    • Financial Accountabilities:
    • Establish the COO budget based on business needs and monitor spend as required.
    • Compliance/Governance Accountabilities:
    • The incumbent is accountable to take all the necessary actions to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, legislated regulations, policies, work standards and government requirements in his / her area of accountability.
    • The incumbent is accountable to exercise appropriate judgement and discretion in accordance with the organisational values and the code of ethics

    Senior Architect

    Qualifications: 

    Bachelor's Degree in IT related fields

    Experience:

    • 10+ years in a corporate IT environment in senior leadership roles
    • 10+ years' experience in IT technology architecture
    • 10+ years’ experience in ERP architecture and deployment
    • Experience in a related technical field (application development, deployment/implementation, and infrastructure)

    Certificates:

    • Certifications preferred but not required:
    • TOGAF or equivalent Architecture qualification.
    • MDP / MBA or equivalent management qualification

    Work Accountabilities:

    • Participate in the global process to manage new technology ideas and demands, providing research, analysis, design review and recommendations to leadership.
    • Provide design support to projects and business groups to ensure efficient and safe technology architectures are delivered.
    • Proactively managing global leader stakeholders in a matrixed organisation; developing a trusted advisor and teaming approach
    • Collaborating with the team to identify, select and implement appropriate solutions.
    • Monitor and research emerging innovation with a view to determining functionality that may provide business value to AGA.

    • Provide input into key enterprise requirements and constraints.
    • Analyse External Influences (Disruptive Forces, Technology Trends etc.)
