    Integrity Investigator - Modderfontein

    Your responsibilities

    • Planning and conducting investigations and special purpose reviews, which would include interview preparation, research, analysis, interviews of complainants, witnesses, victims and subjects, collection and forensic analysis of emails and other data, transaction analysis and review, report writing and other duties as deemed appropriate by the company
    • Undertaking thorough analysis of root causes of failures or errors and makes suggestions for recommended process and controls improvements and liaises with the relevant internal controls, HR or other functions to drive remediation efforts
    • Presenting the findings to the relevant management or committees to determine appropriate level of discipline and corrective actions in conformity with local labor laws in various countries
    • Providing a high level of experience, expertise, guidance and leadership relative to company-wide, multi-jurisdictional, complex reviews, which may impact employees, business operations and company reputation
    • Conducting and managing special purpose or fact finding reviews on behalf of ABB into alleged violations of the ABB Code of Conduct and preparing high quality reports to assist in further disciplinary actions
    • Reporting functionally to ABB Integrity Investigations, monitoring team, developing and maintaining a direct working relationship with Business Area and Division Legal Counsel and HR, Integrity Process Manager, Group Chief Integrity Officer and other business partners as appropriate

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s degree in law, accounting or audit such as CPA, LLM, CIA or equivalent
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in handling ethics and integrity investigations, forensic reviews in a multinational corporation, reputed legal firms or consulting firms
    • Experience in white collar crime law enforcement. Experience in handling FCPA matters
    • Dynamic work exposure in a multicultural environment and ability to multi-task with efficiency
    • Knowledge and experience of eDiscovery processes or data collection, analysis, results and reporting
    • Good understanding of IT tools and especially MS Office and excellent communication skills, fluency in both written and verbal English is essential

    Project Engineer - EC&I (Modderfontein)

    Your responsibilities

    • Evaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments, providing technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities, preparing project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables
    • Finalizing ‘Fail-Safe Philosophy’ and other key concepts as part of Kick-Off and Design Freeze Meetings, actively participating project meetings and resolving any outstanding technical issues to meet contractual obligations
    • Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.), applying basic design thinking / design for excellence concepts in projects, actively utilizing checklists to perform design verification according applicable standards and engineering guidelines
    • Contributing and sharing experiences in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools and processes, sharing best practices lessons-learned documentation across different projects and disciplines, updating the engineering deliverables post installation & commissioning (if applicable)
    • Using standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility, ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements, reporting processes and tools inefficiencies and suggesting improvements ideas
    • Supporting technical risk assessments and implements resulting actions for one’s projects, reporting any contract / safety / quality / program / cost issues to Project Manager(s) for resolution, ensuring Bill of Material (BOM) for the project meets contractual obligations and project gross margin requirements by not generating Project Left-Over Material (PLOM)
    • Identifying and implementing variation requests to support contract claims based on the approval from Project Manager, following work plans and cost estimates provided by the Project Manager and ensuring quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost, collaborating with the supply chain function and the Project Manager(s) to meet the contractual obligations
    • Coordinating with manufacturing and testing functions to ensure the technical solutions are appropriately manufactured/ staged and tested, updating the engineering deliverables as-built, coordinating with commissioning / service functions to ensure the designs are appropriately installed and commissioned (if applicable as part of the contract)

    Your background

    • Bachelor’s Degree in BEng/BSc Electrical/Electronic Engineering
    • Minimum 5 Years’ EC&I project experience
    • Fast learner with the ability to solve complex problems
    • Site experience and willingness to travel and disciplined in compilation of documentation
    • Fluency in English language is mandatory

    Your background
