    Occupational Therapist - Rustenburg

    Job Description:

    Your responsibilities will also include:

    • Act as a role model and reinforce a workplace culture where safety and health for the site is paramount.
    • Provide an environment for team to challenge and act on unsafe behaviors without repercussions.
    • Identify specific risks within working area and adhere to discipline-specific plans/system to avoid these risks.
    • Conduct tests to assess functional, emotional, psychological, and physical capabilities.
    • Plan and direct specific therapeutic programs for individuals using vocational (jobs or careers), recreational, remedial, social, and educational activities.
    • Assist patients to gain, or regain, skills in work environment through recommendations on graded individual / group therapy.
    • Monitor progress of patients and adjust the treatment program where required.
    • Assess the ability of injured workers to return to their usual employment or to perform alternative duties.
    • Assess the ability of injured employee/s to return to their usual work. Treat individuals whose ability to function in a work environment has been impaired and arrange alternative employment if required. Plans work activities and evaluates the patient's progress.
    • Conduct functional job analyses according to RFA procedures and revised every third year or when required.
    • Conduct work visits as part of investigations and or on the job assessments for proper placement of workers.
    • Ensure that standard operating procedures and necessary protocols are in place.
    • Communicate new or revised standards or protocols to the RFA operators and measures the level of compliance to standards and protocols by conducting quality control surveys and reviewing client feedback.
    • Ensure that patients activities and progress are recorded in relevant system.
    • Compiles monthly and quarterly stats reports on RFA test outcomes.
    • Execute delivery of sustainability activities as relevant to discipline and set out in the Life of Asset Plan to improve sustainability performance over time.
    • Act in line and support a purpose-led, high performing culture, applying the company values and principles of inclusion and diversity.
    • Implement management processes for employee & contractor management within work area.
    • This role is at the Safety, Health, and Environment department at a Band 7 level reporting to the Senior Occupational Medical Practitioner.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Occupational Therapy (NQF level 7)
    • Registered with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist

    Experience

    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in physical / vocational rehabilitation would be advantageous.
    • Knowledge of process and mining operations would be advantageous.

    Legal Principal: Tenure & Permitting Law

    Your duties will include:

    • Provide strategic legal guidance and serve as a key contributor in Tenure and Permitting sub-disciplines: administrative and constitutional law; real estate law; mining law, licensing and rights; environmental and water law, regulation and permitting; collective title rights; broader mining regulation and permitting; and contracting of social performance including relocation.
    • Collaborate and coordinate with local and global legal teams, including external legal experts and services.
    • Stay abreast of evolving laws in South Africa, contributing to legal strategies.
    • Collaborate in litigation processes and represent the Group in negotiations.
    • Design and implement legal processes and improvements.
    • Support the implementation of the global legal support framework for Tenure and Permitting developed by the Legal Managers: South Africa and Brazil

    Assurance Specialist - Johannesburg

    Key Responsibilities include:

    • Assist with the development of an annual plan for Kumba, based on assessment of key risks and an assurance framework.
    • Plan, resource and manage delivery of assigned audit projects i.e. undertake complex or sensitive technical audit work within Kumba, including assisting in the facilitation of risk management workshops for senior client managers. 
    • Agreement with key stakeholders on clear scopes/terms of reference and work plans for audit projects.
    • Control time and cost of audit projects, reporting potential time/cost overruns to the Risk and Assurance Manager.
    • Ensure that all assignments are conducted in accordance with ABAS standards, methodology and are in line with the annual plan.
    • Deliver audits in a way that acts as a catalyst for change and improvement, ensuring all assignments are conducted in accordance with ABAS standards, methodology and are in line with the annual plan.
    • Undertaking complex and / or sensitive audit work and investigations and assisting in the facilitation of risk management workshops, where required.
    • Conduct analysis of audit findings within the business unit to identify themes and issues for management to address.

    • Consolidate audit findings, draft reports and present to relevant individuals.
    • Support Audit Action management and reporting.
    • Engage with colleagues, internal audit and business management in a professional, constructive and cooperative manner.
    • Stay abreast of international best practice in auditing standards.
    • Actively participate in knowledge sharing initiatives and processes

    Qualifications:

    • A relevant degree and professional qualification e.g. CA or CIA
    • Proven experience as an auditor in an audit firm or equivalent corporate experience
    • Experience in auditing approaches and methodologies
    • Experience in preparing, producing and presenting high quality and well-articulated documentation and, reports

    Legal Specialist Tenure & Permitting Law SA

    As a Legal Specialist: Tenure and Permitting Law SA your responsibilities will include:

    • Proactively conduct the provision of all tenure and permitting advice to the Anglo American Group in South Africa
    • Manage client relationships with key internal stakeholders in relation to tenure and permitting matters for the Anglo American Group in South Africa
    • Advise the Anglo American Group on tenure and permitting legal issues that affect the execution of its business strategy
    • Assess and provide suggestions for improvement to Group Legal’s systems, procedures and strategies for managing legal risks in relation to permitting transactions and relationships
    • Identify and implement risk mitigating initiatives
    • Identify and communicate changes to permitting laws affecting the Anglo American Group in South Africa
    • Adequately and timeously conduct reporting obligations in relation to permitting (both internally and externally) strictly in accordance with Group Legal policies and guidelines

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate & admitted as a lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction

    Experience

    •  Broad understanding of SA law, with mining industry experience and knowledge of mining law useful but not essential
    • Commercial understanding of consequences of legal scenarios/decisions
    •  Knowledge of civil law, commercial law and company law, with knowledge of relevant specialist areas such as environmental, employment and social security law useful but not essential
    • Property law and leases
    • Strong technical ability as a lawyer, including precise drafting skills and attention to detail
    • Organisational, transaction management, interpersonal, leadership, analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrate excellent legal drafting skills

    Commercial Advisor - Burgersfort

    • Preparing Anglo American Platinum weekly, monthly, quarterly, interim, and year-end (or as required) management reports ensuring key issues are highlighted with focus on key value drivers and trend analysis.:
    • Assist and advise discipline Managers & Superintendents to develop budgets, e.g., by providing insights into financial data and consolidating inputs
    • Provide business case modelling support for on-site SIB capital, make recommendations on capital expenditure decisions to the disciplines
    • Support preparation of financial forecasts that includes forward looking risks and opportunities

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor / Postgraduate qualifications within Business Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field
    • CIMA / CA(SA) / CFA (advantageous)

    Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

    • 2-3 years management experience, 2 years of which should be in a Mining/PGMs environment
    • Experience in Financial Management systems, Essbase and SAP
    • Experience in Capital and Project Appraisals
    • Excellent financial acumen
    • Advanced data analysis and management
    • Proficient in mine financial systems and related legislation
    • Advanced computer literacy (PowerPoint, Advanced excel, Word)
    • Proficient in budgeting and forecasting, Actuals, data submissions, financial modelling
    • Strong verbal and written communication in English
    • Medically fit
