• Proficient in relevant technical systems and software packages such as Datamine, 3D CaD packages, Winminop, Geomos, 3D-Reshaper, Synchro Mine.
• Use applicable administrative systems (Microsoft Office)
• Month end measurements and calculations and reporting of measurements.
• Installation of survey pegs, direction lines and grade elevations pegs
• LiDAR scanning using SLAM technology.
• Knowledge in creating 3D-Models
• Complete surveying exercises with relevant checks
• Participate in cost saving initiatives
• Render a professional customer service
• Manage subordinates on daily basis
• Train/mentor coach and develop subordinates

Requirements

• Grade 12 qualification with Mathematics and Physical Science
• Elementary Survey Certificate and Elementary Mine Valuation
• C.O.M. Advance Survey Certificate or National Diploma_Minearals Surveying(advantageous)
• B-Tech_Minerals Resources Management/ BsC_Mine Surveying
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as an underground surveyor or survey intern /graduate
• Valid Certificate of physical fitness
• Ability to read and write in English
• Ability to communicate with people on different levels
• Drivers License

Description

• Aligns, levels, and anchors machinery
• Attaches load to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools
• Attaches pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clamps
• Controls movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain falls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment
• Dismantles and stores rigging equipment after use
• Fabricates, sets up, and repairs rigging, supports structures, hoists, and pulls gear, uses hand and power tools
• Manipulates rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials such as heavy equipment, ships, or theatrical sets
• Selects gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules
• Signals or verbally directs workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials

Requirements

• Grade 12 Certificate
• N2 Certificate
• Rigger trade papers section 13 or 26D
• Code 8 Drivers License
• At least 5 years Rigger experience with winder steel wire ropes
• Own Transport as position requires standby
• Valid certificate of physical fitness
• Ability to read and write in English
• Be able to work shifts and call outs
