    Insure Select Executive Relationship Manager

    Key Purpose 

    • The role is accountable for providing world-class client service by integrating high-quality claims management with strategic relationship building.
    • The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of high-net-worth clients and broker portfolios, including the end-to-end handling of complex claims. This position requires a proactive, solution-driven professional with the ability to manage escalations effectively, strengthen client retention, and support ongoing business growth.

    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

    Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

    • Act as the primary point of contact for either a portfolio of Platinum and VIP brokers and clients or Purple clients, ensuring a consistently world-class of service.
    • Manage end-to-end claims processes (motor and non-motor), ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely resolution of complex claims.
    • Provide intermediary services, including short-term insurance customer support and the processing of policy amendments and new additions as requested.
    • Professionally manage escalated queries, complaints, and service failures, demonstrating empathy and sound judgement.
    • Conduct detailed portfolio reviews to identify retention, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
    • Support new business placement by ensuring competitive, accurate, and timely quoting.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to resolve issues and optimise service delivery.
    • Educate brokers and clients on systems, processes, and digital tools to promote effective self-service.
    • Participate in regular broker meetings, providing insights and strategic input to enhance service outcomes.
    • Demonstrate strong teamwork, effective self-management, and alignment with Discovery’s values and ways of working.
    • Ensure ongoing adherence to risk, governance, and compliance requirements.

    Education and Experience 

    • Matric (Essential)
    • Degree at NQF level 6 and higher with a minimum of 360 credits related to the financial services industry or FAIS full qualification (Essential)
    • RE5 certification (Advantageous) – must be completed within 12 months of employment date.
    • Class of Business certificate (COB) (Advantageous/Essential)
    • Continuous Professional Development (CPD) certificate (Advantageous/Essential)
    • Minimum of 5 years’ short term insurance portfolio management experience, including claims and/or client service experience (Essential)

    Learning & Development Consultant (Junior)

    Key Purpose:

    • The Learning & Development Consultant (Junior) supports the design, coordination, and delivery of learning initiatives that enhance employee capability and performance. A key requirement of this role is the ability to design and facilitate product house content specific to Vitality RSA. Collaborating with L&D and People colleagues, the role contributes to needs analysis, programme development, facilitation, and evaluation while building consultative and instructional design capability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Learning Support & Coordination

    • Assist in conducting learning needs analysis with business areas
    • Support development of learning plans aligned to team objectives
    • Coordinate logistics for learning programmes (virtual and in-person)
    • Maintain learning calendars and internal communications

    Programme Design & Content Development

    • Design and develop product house training content for Vitality RSA
    • Contribute to the design of workshops and blended learning solutions
    • Develop training materials, participant guides, slide decks, and facilitator notes
    • Support creation of e-learning content and digital resources
    • Ensure learning materials are engaging, accessible, and aligned with brand standards

    Facilitation & Delivery

    • Facilitate product house learning modules for Vitality RSA
    • Co-facilitate workshops
    • Deliver selected modules (e.g., onboarding, core skills, professional skills)
    • Facilitate virtual sessions and group discussions
    • Support post-session follow-up and learner engagement

    Stakeholder & Learner Support

    • Respond to learner queries and provide guidance on development resources
    • Work with the People Team to gather feedback and identify learning needs
    • Build relationships with line managers to support learning uptake and application

    Evaluation & Reporting

    • Collect and analyse feedback data (surveys, attendance, completion rates)
    • Support preparation of learning impact and evaluation reports
    • Track key learning metrics and maintain accurate records

    Learning Systems & Administration

    • Upload and maintain learning content on the LMS
    • Monitor learner progress and completion
    • Support coordination with external learning providers where required

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, Business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
    • Interest in or working toward professional L&D accreditation (e.g., CIPD or ATD) is advantageous

    Experience

    • 2–3 years’ experience in Learning & Development, HR, Talent, or Training
    • Experience supporting or delivering training sessions
    • Exposure to instructional design or content development
    • Experience using an LMS or digital learning tools

    Learning & Development Specialist / Training Specialist

    • The Discovery Institute of Training is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist /Training Specialist. This position is responsible for delivering onboarding programmes and ongoing proficiency training for Financial Advisers, Broker Consultants and Independent Financial Advisers. The role involves regular engagement with internal teams and Sales & Distribution stakeholders to identify and address learning and development needs. In addition, the consultant will act as a Product Lead and Subject Matter Expert for a specific product line. This includes providing deep product knowledge, guiding strategic training efforts, and serving as a mentor and coach to peers.

    Key outputs

    All work must be done accurately, comprehensively, and in line with set quality standards.

    • Provide regular product, systems, financial planning, and practice management training sessions to Financial Advisers, Broker Consultants and Independent Financial Advisers
    • Research, develop, and implement advanced workshops on product, systems, and financial planning
    • Travel as and when required to conduct training
    • Build key relationships with various stakeholders
    • Consult with stakeholders to identify learning and development needs
    • Use data and feedback to continuously improve the effectiveness of learning solutions
    • Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, ensuring that the learning solutions remain innovative and relevant
