    Procurement Manager - Tygervalley

     

    The Purpose Of The Position

    This position will be responsible for the execution of the tactical procurement strategy, procurement reporting and insights, as well as the improvement of key performance metrics. The Procurement manager will achieve the before mentioned by leading the Shared Service Centre (SSC) buyers team. This position must ensure that goods and services are sourced effectively and efficiently, thereby creating value for the organisation.

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Ensure key metrics are met and exceeded by leading and supporting the SSC buyers team and process.
    • Drive transformational change both from an internal business perspective as well as external supplier side.
    • Continuously identify and implement solutions and improvements for the process and team in order to improve performance and business results.
    • Ensure resources are adequately deployed to manage tactical procurement for the business
    • Provide periodic reporting for management on purchasing, controls and processes.
    • Monitor tactical spend and recommend opportunities to move spend on contract or catalogue
    • Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial goals.
    • Accountable for overseeing the development and management of automated procurement catalogues to drive value delivery
    • Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risk, review future strategies and identify potential improvement opportunities.
    • Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business results
    • Focussed on delivering outstanding service standards to internal and external customers

    The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

    • Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Economics, or a Related Field
    • An accreditation by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) will be advantageous
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Procurement and/or Purchasing
    • Understanding of Supply Chain Management Procedures will be an advantage
    • Knowledge of Source to Pay suites or Supply Management Software (Database Management) will be an advantage
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude are essential for interpreting data/ metrics.
    • Analytical thinking and strong business/ commercial acumen
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
    • Strong relationship building skills by communicating persuasively and confidently to influence and negotiate positive outcomes
    • Methodical and disciplined work approach.
    • Innovative thinking – ability to challenge the status quo.
    • Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills

    Systems Integration: Team Lead - Libertas

    Purpose Of The Position

    • The Systems Integration: Team Lead responsibilities include planning, executing and managing the integration of new applications into the existing systems throughout most of the enterprise, as well as existing integrations.

    Key performance areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Leading the integration unit with the Application and Development team, providing guidance and direction for team members.
    • Build relationships with the client application teams, both internal and external, to understand their business needs and requirements for the integration platforms and also coach them on how to use the platforms to the full extent.
    • Collaboration with vendors and 3rd party support units
    • Keep track of all integration projects to ensure they meet business requirements
    • Identify and resolve systems issues
    • Making recommendations on integration products and services, working together with the Distell ICT architecture team
    • Improve business process through integration and aligning to Distell Architecture Framework
    • Evaluating the results of integration projects to ensure a continuous improvement process
    • Training employees on new application features
    • Collaborating with the support-teams to around production incidents involving integration to directly or indirectly ensure their timely resolution and recovery and preventative measures are taken to avoid recurrence.
    • Developing a strong team, skills and culture around integration that crosses the development, support, infrastructure and data teams
    • Agile software development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD)

    The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience/skills

    • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Engineering or a Related Field
    • 5 to 8 years’ experience in Enterprise Software Development, Deployment and Application Support, with a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience focused on integration
    • A range of appropriate programming languages and frameworks
    • Extensive knowledge about event driven systems, schema, orchestration, mapping , ESB exception handling, as well as various architectures and protocols such as XSLT, SOA, REST, XML, FTP, WSDL and SOAP
    • Expert knowledge about secure transmissions, digital certificates, etc
    • Strong experience with application architecture
    • Knowledge of cloud architecture, security and platforms
    • Knowledge of systems and networking (TCP / IP, switching, routing, Firewalls, Load balancing)
    • Knowledge SAP PI, SAP Gateway, and APIGEE Edge would be highly advantageous
    • Agile software development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD)
    • Excellent communications skills
    • Open to collaboration across teams
    • Highly engaged and motivated
    • Willing to go the extra mile to get things done
