    Junior Manager - Financial Services Technology

    Specification    
    Main Duties and Responsibilities:
    Take ownership of, and manages work assignments to completion within the allocated time frame and to an appropriate standard (quality), through:
    -proper planning before the assignment,
    -appropriate coaching during the assignment,
    -attention to quality of the deliverable and the supporting documentation, adequately completing provisions,
    -managing the WIP appropriately and within budget, where applicable, billing the engagement, and
    -closing the engagement.
    Is an effective project manager

    • Track any delays and overruns and raises these at the relevant partner catch-ups and client meetings. Get immediate and timely agreement from the client to overruns.
    • Reviews written documents to ensure that they are organised, well-written, referenced and easy to follow.
    • Establish effective working relationships directly with key clients and broader BDO stakeholders.
    • Bring industry insights and recommendations to the client during client discussions. Ensures value-added delivery to the client driving sustainability of client relationship and work allocation
    • Coordinate and lead meetings with the key client stakeholders and internal senior stakeholders in the absence of the partner.
    • Assess and manage project risks, processes, and controls.
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client’s processes and methodologies, including the reviews of process flows.
    • Able to lead initiatives from commencement to conclusion with minimal coaching and mentoring. Understands when to request input or assistance.
    • Takes on operational role/s within the business, in addition to allocated client assignments
    • Participate in proposal development as and when required
    • Participate in training efforts

    Requirements    
    Qualifications:

    • Bcom Internal Audit
    • Bcom Information Systems/Informatics
    • Bsc Computer Science
    • CISA, CA(SA) or CRISC

    Experience and Knowledge:

    • 4 to 5 years of IT Audit Experience
    • Knowledge of General IT Controls, Application Controls, Data Analytics, ISAE 3402 reviews, Business process analysis

    Technical Competencies:

    • General IT Controls, Application Controls, Data Analytics, ISAE 3402 reviews, Business process analysis

    Behavioral Competencies:

    • Effective Communication Skills, both written and verbal.

    Junior Manager: Digital Assurance

    Specification    
    Main Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the FS Digital team to identify and manage dependencies between teams and between digital products
    • Management with the day-to-day operations of the Financial Services Digital unit, which includes planning and execution / delivery of engagements, leading project / audit teams to achieve this and building / maintaining client relationships while delivering on this
    • Build and deliver digital products (customised and standardised), through the digital lifecycle
    • Creating content and collaborating as part of the overall digital proposal process
    • Provide training on digital products, both internally and externally
    • Assist with the roll-out of digital products, both locally and globally
    • Assist to develop learning and development (educational) materials to increase digital fitness of all BDO client-facing teams
    • Operationalise the innovation process
    • Shadowing and executing based on the mandate from senior team members
    • Performance management of juniors on their digital development goals and responsibilities
    • Provide input into the digital delivery model
    • Monitor delivery (quality and timeliness)
    • Integrate with people change team and operationalise their recommendations into the overall digital solutions process.
    • Contribute to the delivery of the overall communication plan and proactive managing stakeholders

    Requirements    
    Qualifications:
    B.Com Accounting (Honours) or equivalent; CA (SA) qualification preferably
