    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Grade 12/Matric
    • Min 3 years Benefit Administration and provider liaison, Financial/Human Resources tertiary qualification or minimum 3 years degree qualification
    • Minimum 3 years experience as Benefits Administrator and further 2 years experience as Benefits/Officer
    • Minimum 5 year experience in Life Insurance, Retirement Fund and Medical aid administration
    • Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook)
    • Minimum 5 year experience of Sage 300 Payroll, and WSS
    • Progressive demonstration of establishing and implementing appropriate remuneration structures and strategies with in corporate environment
    • Ability to demonstrate, influence and execute remuneration and benefit strategies at a senior level
    • Data Management (PowerBI) and trends interpretation will support the execution of this role
    • A strong financial skill set in the Employee Benefits and administration environment

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Administering and managing the day to day function.
    • Updating and reconciliation of contribution payments
    • Process withdrawals from the Retirement funds and medical aid for resignations, retirements, death and disability
    • Attend to queries- both written and telephonic
    • Presenting to staff on request whenever administration presentation are required
    • Assist HR in the facilitation of the induction process for employee benefits and advise employees of their benefit options and plans (where necessary)
    • Facilitate the application / removal of all members and their dependents Ensuring compliance with applicable legislation e.g. Basic Conditions of Employment, LRA, Income Tax Act and COIDA
    • Facilitate and promote sharing information around employee benefits and reward in the induction process and employee life cycle.
    • Dealing with post retirement and death, resignation withdrawals forms for the medical aid and retirement funds
    • Assisting with Staff queries and Employee education around Employee Benefits
    • Processing of Temporary & Permanent Disability Claims
    • Maintenance and updating of WSS
    • Sharing information, educating and providing effective feedback where required around this speciality
    • Ensuring all relevant benefits information is regularly updated, shared and distributed to all stakeholders e.g. employees, managers etc.
    • Ensuring that new updated information is shared and promoted to all employees and pensioners.
    • Reconcilliation of all service provider schedules
    • Facilitation of Workmans Compensation processes and payments

    Learnership and Compliance Specialist (Fixed Term)

    • The successful incumbent should have at least 8 years experience within a Learnership and Learnership and Compliance space in a medium to large organistation. 
    • The position will be for a fixed term period, with a possibility of permanent employment.   

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • National Diploma or degree in Human Resource Management or a National Diploma in Occupational Directed - Education Training and Development            
    • A Registered SDF will be highly advantages          
    • Minimum 8 years experience as a Learnership and Compliance Specialist within a medium to large organisation

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Administration, coordination and project management of all learnership programs            
    • Participate in learner selection and recruitment for the learnership programs            
    • Ensure learnership and bursary information is accurately captured and readily available for compilation of monthly reporting, skills development, employment equity and BBB-EE reporting            
    • Ensure learnership and bursary documents are accurately filed and maintained both manually and electronically            
    • Reconciliation of bursaries and employee AODs            
    • Administration of all TETA related activities (track DG progress and prepare reports for TETA activities, ensure all learners are enrolled on TETA database)            
    • Ensure payment of invoices are in line with organisational financial policies and procedures            
    • Recommendation of training providers in line with compliance requirements            
    • Obtain and maintain accurate records relating to service providers            
    • Assist and support the Learning and Development Manager with general training queries and requests            
    • Assist employees with LMS related enquiries            
    • Co-develop WSP/ATR submission to TETA            
    • Orientation and Onboarding of learners, assessors and moderators onto the Elearning platform            
    • Track the monthly submission of learner logbooks, attendance registers, assessments and progress reports            
    • Monitor the learners progress and take remedial action when required            
    • Ensure that external Assessors and Moderators have the required learner and programme information timeously            
    • Ensuring TETA requirements are timeously met (External Moderations, Application for Discretionary Grants, Enrolement of learners )  
    • To ensure that all BU Managers are familiar with the value added by the BIL Academy to the business and to promote a culture of learning within BIL            

    Skills & Competencies    
    Knowledge:

    • Strong understanding of the Skills Development legislation    
    • Expert knowledge and understanding of SETA Legislative requirements for Learnerships/Discretionary Funding            
    • BBBEE / EE            
    • Experience with e-learning platforms and digital learning            
    • Management of Unemployed Learners            
    • Experience in Learnership monitoring and tracking            
    • Management of External Stakeholders (Assessors, Moderators, Training providers et al)            
    • Processing and control of invoices for services rendered            
    • Expert understanding of Assessor / Moderation Concepts and procedures      

    Skills

    • Ability to communicate fluently both verbally and in writing            
    • Ability to work in a team in achieving agreed objectives            
    • Ability to create rapport at all levels in different divisions

    Financial Controller - Corporate Reporting

    • The successful incumbent will be responsible for timely and accurate reporting to Bidvest Freight/IL in line with monthly, quarterly and yearly financial, ESG and transformation reporting requirements as well as adhoc requests.  BBBEE financial reporting components also forms a key part of this role.

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • CA (SA) qualification essential
    • Minimum 3 years post articles experience
    • Knowledge of Cargo Wise One / Edi-Enterprise and Assetware would be advantageous.
    • Power BI experience preferrable
    • Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook at an advanced level

    Key Responsibilities    
    Key responsibilities, but not limited to:-

    • Responsible for Financial Reporting and analysis - reports for National Functions, Bidvest Freight and BIL
    • B-BBEE Reporting and tracking of BIL B-BBEE objectives on a timely basis
    • Procurement spend reporting 
    • ESG reporting 
    • Provide support to national functions BU managers with reports and analysis monthly and attend to their ad hoc requests
    • Driving efficiencies and process improvements in key deliverables.

    Main activities of this role:

    • Year end audit and compliance
    • B-BBEE audit including compilation of the scorecard
    • Compilation of the B-BBEE scorecard (monthly, quarterly and yearly)
    • B-BBEE point of contact for reporting to Freight Division and for client requests
    • ESG reporting.

    Senior Controller

    • The incumbent will control procedures to process the flow of cargo from the time that the order is placed on an overseas supplier until the goods are delivered.

    Qualifications & Experience    

    • Matric
    • Relevant tertiary qualification essential
    • 5 7 years industry related experience 5 10 years marine experience
    • Sound knowledge of Shipspares and Marine Product (Specialist)
    • Knowledge of NPA Tartiff rates (related charges) and Customs requirements; spefically RIT/WH/WE/EAS/XES

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Forwarding of import cargo in accordance with Client requirements
    • Track Client consignments from time of receipt or shipping instruction to arrival at destination in accordance with Incoterm
    • Forwarding and clearing of import cargo in accordance with Client requirements
    • Co-ordinate movement of cargo with the transport operators
    • Report on shipment status to Clients and other stakeholders
    • Process and distribute documentation in accordance with Client requirements
    • Obtain master/house transport document information from carriers/consolidators
    • Expediate cargo with carriers, terminals, depots and other transport operators
    • Keep system updated with all communication and applicable documentation received
    • Forward invoice to Invoicing Quality Controller to confirm correct rates
    • Hand file over to Invoicing Clerk to generate pro-forma invoice
