    Country Approval Manager

    Job Description

    An opportunity exists at Bosch for a Country Approval Manager in the Automotive Aftermarket (AA) division.  The purpose of the position is to ensure legal compliance, research and product approval releases in Africa for the AA division.

    Principle accountabilities can include but are not limited to;

    • Ensure the products and services that Automotive Aftermarket Africa (AA-AF) and Automotive Aftermarket Service Solutions (AA-AS) divisions sell in this region comply with all the norms, regulations and laws in the African market.

    • Do research to generally determine if a law, norm or standard applies to a specific product. He/she will be responsible for communicating the legal standards to the Automotive product managers, ensuring all regulatory laws are understood and effectively communicated within the business.

    • Responsible for Brand protection.  Brand protection encompasses the protection of the intellectual property owned by Robert Bosch. Intellectual property can have various forms: Trade Marks, Copyrights, Patents and so on. Violations can come in many forms as well. Some violations are: Counterfeit Products, Unauthorised Use of Copyright / Trade Marks, Trade Dress, Bait and Switch and False Marketing.

    • The successful candidate will need to enforce the legal procedures to ensure Robert Bosch intellectual property is constantly monitored, while infringements are documented and communicated to the relevant authorities.

    Experience required;

    • Minimum 5 years+ working experience in a similar role in legal or compliance in the Automotive Aftermarket industry.

    • 5 years+ working experience in brand protection, research and product approval releases in Africa

    • 3 years+ experience in a leadership role

    • Strong communication skills and fluency in English (Speak, read and write)

    • Computer literate with advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

    Personal characteristics;

    • Self-motivated

    • Assertiveness

    Qualifications

    Matric / Grade 12 and a Degree in Legal studies or related field

    Business Development Manager (Automotive Aftermarket)

    Job Description

    Bosch is looking to employ a Business Development Manager to identify and implement new business models appropriate for Automotive Aftermarket Africa (AA-AF) markets based on cross-functional alignment and in cooperation with business units to drive profitable growth in Africa.

    The Business Development Manager will be part of Automotive Aftermarket (AA) management team with direct reporting to AA Regional President.

     

    Duties will include but are not limited to:

    • Investigate and map out key African trends regarding business model innovation for the stakeholders in AA sector;

    • Identify and document innovative and high potential business models for AA across Africa for Bosch;

    • Develop and implement a structured process to identify business model innovation in collaboration with AA Go-to-Source, Go-to-Market and related support functions based on Bosch Innovation Framework;

    • Develop blueprint to work with new or unconventional AA customers in Africa;

    • Support AA regional organization in testing, validating and implementing innovative business models;

    • Coaching and mentoring for internal/external start-ups;

    • Lead new or innovation projects until implementation and carve out to existing AA-AF functional area;

    • Develop and manage external network/ecosystem of partners and supporters  (e.g. start-ups, incubators, accelerators) in the innovation space for potential cooperation;

    • Manage cooperation with Bosch internal stakeholders and partners.

     

    Experience Required:

    • 5 years+ Experience in a similar role in the AA sector

    • 5 years+ Market research and business development experience

    • 3 years+ Experience in testing, validating and implementing business model innovations

    • Experience in agile working methods

    • Experienced trainer
