    ABO DE&I Leader

    In this role, the candidate will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Partners with senior Business and Human Resources leaders in the design and delivery of strategy, initiatives and tactics to attract, retain and develop a diverse workforce
    • Uses metrics and data insights to support the achievement of DE&I goals
    • Guides, sponsors and participates in identified DE&I projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with global diversity strategies and business goals
    • Provides guidance for the startup of Employee Resource Groups, enables their maturation and guides the business alignment of work targets.

    Warehouse Operations Leader

    In this role, the candidate will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Overall Leadership responsibility of Parts Distribution Centers across Southern African Region. Accountable for Service Level Agreement commitments to General Managers of all Business Units whose products are distributed through the facility.
    • Coordinate key business support activities required to operate facilities effectively, including (but not limited to): Safety, Security & Facilities Management, Quality Management, Supply Chain
    • Management, Operations Excellence , Sales and Operations Planning, Finance and Accounting, Information Technology, Human Resources.
    • Prepare and manage an annual operating plan including expense, resources, and capital. Manage Capital Investment requirements (Personal Protection Equipment & Information Technology) to assist business plans.
    • Manage and develop supply chain capability; work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning. Mentor and coach individual and collective talent to develop supply chain capability across the organization.
    • Review Key Performance Indicators and operational trends to validate root cause analysis and corrective action plans.

    To be successful in this role the candidate will need the following:

    • NQF Level 07 Qualification (Supply Chain, Engineering and Business)
    • Post Grad Qualification (MBA/Project Management)
    • Six Sigma/12 Step Kaizen Exposure (Must)

    Field Service Technician

    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor.
    • Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
    • Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
    • Performs preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on engine/power generating set and related components in the field.
    • Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor.
    • Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

    To be successful in this role you will need the following:

    • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (preferred)
    • Vocational engineering level II & III certification/engineering diploma/engineering degree from relevant technical institution/university.
    • 3 – 5 years field service work and customer experience with a valid local driving license.
    • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine/generator products

    Senior Onsite Technician

    In this role, the candidate will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Translates customer complaints to develop troubleshooting plan; troubleshoots issue following guided workflows, procedures, specialized equipment such as mechanical and electronic service tools, and diagnoses computer software to isolate failed components to enable a successful repair; validates repair by duplicating complaint to ensure it has been resolved; documents results of troubleshooting in business systems to communicate what has been done for payment and historical tracking.
    • Repairs and maintains mechanical/electrical products following guidelines, using required tools within standard repair time to ensure a quality repair; disassembles and assembles engines following guidelines, using required tools to ensure a clean and organized environment; inspects and replaces parts and components following re-use guidelines to minimize customers cost of ownership; performs progressive damage check following guidelines to restore to pre-failure condition.
    • Obtains product technical issue information and utilizes available resources including data management tools; elevates issues to a higher level of expertise, balancing timeliness of customer response with investigation efforts; captures all troubleshooting steps in the appropriate database to ensure seamless transitions and accurate reply to ticket resolution in a timely manner.
    • Improves capability across the board through coaching, mentoring, and training Onsite technicians to assist our customers more efficiently and provide technical input for policy discussion and decisions.
    • Investigates complex emerging issues as well as product or process issues in the field and delivers robust technical solutions and define, lead a process to record, prioritize, and resolve product failures using cross-functional reviews, rigorous problem-solving methods, failed parts transfer processes, data management tools, and project management practices to improve the reliability of the product effectively and efficiently
    • Represents Cummins to our customers by being the interface for all technical aspects; provides engineering data, documentation, and training to customers to support the design and integration of equipment; ensures that the customer's business is not interrupted by managing Cummins ‘product changes using our change processes and regular communications with Product Development and the customer.

    To be successful in this role the candidate will need the following:

    • Vocational diploma or equivalent from relevant technical institution
    • Seven years of experience in diesel mechanic/ fitter
    • Trade test in diesel mechanic or diesel fitter
    • Locally valid driving permit

    Power Generation Sales Executive

    In this role, the candidate will make an impact in the following ways:

    • Sells company products and services by developing new prospects and accounts.
    • Achieves sales targets and ensures customer satisfaction.
    • Develops relationships to generate customer goodwill and stability. Conducts negotiations according to company guidelines.
    • Identifies, researches, and contacts prospective customers and builds positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.
    • Drives utilization of Cummins tools and processes (i.e. SFC, segment focus, effort vs reward etc)
    • Manage Customer Relationships - Manages customer interactions and relationships to maximize sales opportunities

    To be successful in this role the candidate will need the following:

    • Electrical Diploma
    • Sales experience in generators – 5 years minimum
    • Experience in balance of plant components/equipment
    • Excel / MS Windows skills
