Purpose Statement of the Position
To sell and promote Distell Brand portfolio to customers with a specific geographical area by creating brand awareness and building brands in line with strategic objectives
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
Drive Market share: Driving RRSP
Power Pack Compliance: Price driven promotions and Drive power pack compliance agreements with customers
Build partnerships with customers: Call strike rate and 4 A score compliance vs non-compliance
Drive continuous improvement and implement business improvement initiatives and share and implement new ideas regarding sales and improving effectiveness of sales force
Take responsibility for own development and contribute to team effectiveness and Displaying the Distell values
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
Matric / Grade 12 qualification
Valid Driver’s License
Relevant Diploma / Degree in Business or Marketing
Minimum 2-3 years FMCG or relevant experience
Flexible 44 working hour week and Week end promotions/activities
Demonstrates proficiency in the following functional competencies:
Persuasive selling skills & negotiations - Ability to persuade customers to buy products or to increase sales and to identify and capitalize on sales opportunities
Sales Commercial Insights - Awareness and understanding of the implications of fundamental commercial implications on day-to-day decisions
Sales process management - Understand the primary key drivers of sales in different channels
Sales Product Knowledge - Product relevance by channel, cluster and tier understood and applied
Sales strategies and plans to sustain brand growth - Has an awareness of sales strategic planning process in Distell and understands all the components that impacts sales and brand growth
Sales Technology Application - Demonstrate an understanding of how technology works within the sales process
Purpose of the Position
To effectively handle the administration and financial function, within the branch and the completion of all reasonable tasks to ensure the operational efficiency of the branch. The successful applicant would also assist and support Distell’s endeavour to create superior customer service.
Key performance areas include, but are not limited to:
Effectively manage the daily administration function within the Distribution Centre
Assist and support managers with Purchase requisitions, goods receipt process, purchase orders and all procurement related admin
Ensure the correct issuing and management of Petty cash
Ensure that the ISO 9001:2015 documentation is maintained and applied correctly
Responsible for the co-ordination of the ISO audits and changes to documentation
Involvement in preparation of budgets and forecasts, including monthly co-ordination of Opex spends and variance analysis
Assist managers with the preparation of budgets and forecasts in terms of the guidelines
Responsible for ensuring that all monthly spends are allocated correctly
Assist in the Depot with regards to ICC’s and stocktakes
Ability to co-ordinate the monthly variance report after obtaining and evaluating the reasons for the variances
Ensure that distribution cents per litre is contained through continual investigation and improvement of asset utilisation
Perform Distribution centre Capex and abnormal maintenance function
Effectively co-ordinate the monthly internal audit function for the Distribution centre
Effectively administer Customs and Excise Accounts (Where applicable)
Stock take preparation and data capturing
Improving business processes to ensure achievements of Business Objectives
Performance Management
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Valid Matric certificate
A relevant 1 - 2 Year Diploma or Degree / Advanced National Certificate in Administration or Finance
6 Months minimum total years of relevant experience in FMCG Logistics / Distribution Environment
Computer literacy in MS Office, SAP, Success Factors
Experience meeting tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and sound presentation skills
The ability to work after hours and / or shifts if necessary
Purpose of the Positions:
The intention is to give practical work experience to students who are in their final year of study and require exposure in a work environment and require practical work experience in order to obtain their qualification. Successful interns will be expected to enter into a full-time 12 month contract commencing on the 1st of February 2022 and terminating on the 31 January 2023.
Key Learning Areas include (but are not limited to):
Quality Assurance (Intrinsic & extrinsic quality control; Quality Management Systems; etc.)

To qualify for selection and participation in this programme, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:
South African citizenship.
Satisfactory academic record and in final year of obtaining relevant tertiary qualification / recently qualified (e.g. National Diploma in Food Technology; National Diploma in Analytical Chemistry; BSc Bio Technology; etc.).
Basic computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
Sound communication and presentation skills.
Effective time management skills with the ability to multi-task and perform under pressure.
Ability to work in a team.
Ability to cope with the inherent physical demands of the position.
Willing and able to work extended hours.
Reliable transport to and from place of work.
Valid driving licence would be beneficial.
Must be willing, able and committed to enter into and complete the 12 month internship programme.

Purpose of the position:
The intention is to give practical work experience to students who are in their final year of study and require exposure in a work environment and require practical work experience in order to obtain their qualification. Successful interns will be expected to enter a 12-month contract commencing 01 February 2022 and terminating on 31 January 2023.
Key Learning Areas include (but are not limited to):
Preparing and completing warehouse orders for production according to production plan Receiving and processing incoming stock
Executing inventory controls and keeping high quality standards
Add value in increasing departmental efficiencies and customer satisfaction
Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations Participate in stock counts
Accurate identification, verification of records and inbound shipments. Inter plant transfer of materials
To qualify for selection and participation in this programme, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:
Studying Degree / Diploma in Logistics
Computer literacy – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Sound communication and presentation skills;
Effective time management;

Purpose of the Position
The effective management of inventory received, stored and despatched to ensure OTIF delivery of quality products and achievement of financial imperatives as well as act as the custodian of the Warehouse Management System at a site level.
Key performance areas include, but are not limited to:
Ensure the cost-effective inventory management of all goods
Check depot days of cover daily and communicate with Planning if required
Report all stock outs to depot, sales and Planning as well as liaise with planning to resolve any stock issues
Plan correct storage location for products in liaison with Logistics Manager/ Inventory Clerk (ABC Analysis)
Plan and create Physical Inventory Documents for monthly stock counts as well as reduce write-offs and losses to a minimum
Ensure optimal stock availability and stock rotation
Help enable superior customer service as measured by On Time In Full (OTIF)
Maintain the highest possible level of customer service
Ensure strict adherence to corporate governance in terms of stock movement and documentation in accordance with the ICC and Audit controls, Quality Control and inspections
Ensure that Risk audits and Quality control audits are conducted at the branch
Ensure quality control checks on receipt of stock and before despatch of stock
Ensure FEFO principle is applied to stock movements by printing bin pulling sheets for warehouse
Perform all administration and reporting effectively
Ensure that stock write offs and variances are actively managed. This includes the management of Stock Age
Ensure that all post goods issues have been processed for all deliveries and driver corrections
Ensure that no deliveries have been issues without shipments. All proof of delivery notes need to be checked and accounted for.
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
Matric Certificate

Minimum of 6 months relevant experience in FMCG Logistics / Distribution Environment

Purpose of the Position:
The effective management of all activities in the Distribution Centre Warehouse relating to Customer Deliveries and the completion of all reasonable tasks to ensure the operational efficiency of Distell Ltd.
Designated stand-in for Ops Manager. To assist and support Distell’s endeavours to become more responsive to our competitors, customers and consumers (CCC).
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
Ensure cost effective warehousing and distribution of company products.
Ensure systems and procedures operate effectively.
Ensure effective and outstanding delivery service.
Ensure the cost effective maintenance of company vehicles, material handling equipment and site.
Ensure effective co-operation and communication with the local sales department.
Provide support and assistance to the Operations Manager with regards to:
Optimal Transport Management
Warehouse Management
Financial Management
Effective management of third parties (Owner Drivers and Contractors)
Responsible for regular reporting and performing administrative duties
Adhering to corporate governance in ensuring adherence to Distell Risk, Safety, Health, Quality and Financial policies
Behaving in a manner that always reflects the company values and corporate governance
Support regional initiatives in line with business plan
Maintain a high level of customer service
The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:
A tertiary qualification in Logistics / Supply Chain / Management
Proven experience of MS Office, SAP and warehouse management information systems
The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and sound presentation skills
The ability to work after hours and / or shifts if necessary
Knowledge of all relevant legislation
Knowledge of customer service principles and practice
Experience in a customer service environment is essential
Operate independently with high energy, resilience, ownership and accountability in a high-pressure environment
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Distribution, Warehousing, Sales environment or similar
FMCG experience will be advantageous

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:
Operate independently with high energy, resilience, ownership, and accountability in a high-pressure environment
A tertiary qualification in logistics, warehousing, or operations
A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Distribution, Warehousing, Sales environment or similar with 1 year of people leadership experience
FMCG experience will be advantageous
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Sound business acumen skills with the ability to analyze and interpret financial and statistical data
Sound knowledge of people practices and the management of discipline
A team player with the ability to lead, influence and manage people with diverse backgrounds
Proven experience of MS Office, SAP and warehouse management information systems
A valid unendorsed driver’s license
