    Quality Supervisor (QA, QC & QE)

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

    • Review and update Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 documents consisting of policy, objectives, procedures, work instructions, inspection instructions, and quality plans to ensure that process changes, engineering changes, customer requirements and changes are accurately documented.
    • Implementation and maintenance of the QHSE management programme in accordance with the ISO 9001/14001 and OHSAS 45001 and code of practice.
    • Conduct customer satisfaction surveys by distributing questionnaires to customers and report the number of responses and ratings (i.e. satisfied/not satisfied) as well as recommend improvements based on results to ensure an increase in customer satisfaction.
    • All functions and tasks as required for management QA Representative
    • Plan and Co-ordinate Management Reviews.
    • Maintain the Non-conformance system:
    • By ensuring that the Non-Conformance registers are updated; and
    • In conjunction with the Facility Event coordinator, report the RO NCR status and statistics thereof.
    • Evaluate and report on costs and high-frequency activities regarding non-conformance / incidents in respect of operational matters.
    • To provide support during the conducting of root cause analysis of non-conforming products and recommend correction and corrective action to ensure close-out of non-conformances.

    PROCESS MANAGEMENT

    • Monitor and ensure that client requirements have been incorporated into manufacturing specifications for the procurement of products locally and internationally.
    • Monitor and ensure that all products comply with Quality Assurance and Environmental standards, maintaining the required quality levels and adhering to all relevant regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor and ensure that all product, process and staff qualifications for special operations are valid.

    RELEASE OF ITEMS & CALIBRATIONS

    • Develop, implement and maintain a COC (Certificate of Conformance) system for RO release of procured and manufactured products and items., by: -
    • Ensuring the release of all designed, manufactured and purchased items before use within RO.
    • Compile incoming inspection reports as and when required.
    • Checking Compilation of product record files (PRF’s).
    • Accept certificate of conformance (COC) for released components.
    • Ensure the update and maintenance of the calibration database.
    • Report, follow - and conduct checks on the status of IMTE.

    AUDIT SYSTEM

    • Generate an audit surveillance schedule for the conducting of QMS internal audits in RO facilities and operations on an annual basis to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee and ensure that audits are conducted as scheduled according to External Service Providers, Necsa and RO Auditing Requirements and quality procedures.
    • Compile action plans for customer complaints, external audit findings and recommendations, verify implementation of recommendations, perform close-out of non-conformities, and notify all relevant parties accordingly.

    PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & PROJECTS  

    • Ensure that all staff are trained, and skilled and that their expertise is optimally applied in order to create a positive and productive working environment with healthy staff morale.
    • Review & Accept all generated dimensional inspection reports.
    • Ensuring that the Project Quality Plans for RO Projects.
    • Follow up and sign off on completed activities in Project Quality Plans.
    • Review & Accept all verification certificates generated by the Technician and QC Inspector, in compliance with the internal verification system.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    Education:

    • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or applicable technical field.
    • Certificates & extensive knowledge in  Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Quality Management System & Environmental Management System.
    • Lead Auditor/Auditor Training.
    • Advanced Metrology.
    • Radiographic Testing Level 01.

    Experience: 

    • 8 years experience in quality assurance in a highly regulated environment.
    • 8 years experience in dimensional inspection and non-destructive examination.
    • 5 years experience as an auditor and lead auditor

    Training Officer: Electrical (Hay level 13)

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    Develop and maintain allocated resources

    • Identify and report training equipment defects and ensure that they are always operational and available for training purposes.
    • Ensure that there are always sufficient training consumables through implementation of appropriate stock control processes.
    • Ensure that there is proper housekeeping in their work areas.

    Implementation of training intervention

    • Prepare appropriate and relevant training equipment for programmes offered.
    • Prepare training plan for the course content and ensure that there is sufficient training material and other relevant documentation in support of the offered course.
    • Prepare and supply assessment material for the offered course.
    • Ensure that all administration associated with the offered course or assessment is completed and submitted to all relevant stakeholders.
    • Prepare presentations for facilitations of offered courses according to the approved curriculum.
    • Ensure that all training always achieves the set outcomes of the programme.
    • Mentor, coach and guide all learners whilst training to ensure the achievement of positive outcomes in terms of results.
    • Monitor the welfare of learners during training and liaise with relevant stakeholders to attend to their identified need to ensure holistic approach to training.

    Assessment of learners

    • Ensure that assessment documents are utilised according to expected outcomes.
    • Assess learners according to training plans and qualifications authorities.
    • Complete assessment reports and related administration and submit to all relevant stakeholders.
    • Provide assessment feedback to all learners.

    Management systems and compliance

    • Ensure that all your accreditations are relevant, maintained and up to date.
    • Ensure that all training and associated administration is implemented according to applicable quality management systems (QMS)
    • Ensure that applicable safety measures are maintained in the training workshops inclusive of Behavioural Safety for all learners.
    • Ensure that all leaners comply to the training requirements for relevant courses.
    • Ensures that learners comply with all Necsa HR and other policies and procedures

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Grade 12 certificate.
    • 3 years’ experience as a Qualified Electrical or Millwright Artisan (Red seal)
    • 3 years’ experience as a Facilitator and Trade Testing.
    • Registered Assessor with NAMB or any Seta. 
    • Registered Moderator with NAMB or any Seta.

    Programme Manager X2

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Develop systems that enable the implementation and execution of various Programme;
    • Oversee the planning and execution of projects in line with Necsa’s strategic objectives and plan;
    • Develop and maintain relations with key government departments and other key industry role players to ensure effective Stakeholder Relations Management for the projects; and
    • Provide a support function to the Senior Manager in implementing executive and Board decisions relating to all strategic projects
    • Manage the collection and analysis of client & stakeholder’s requirements.
    • Identify, acquire and manage programme management team.
    • Develop the programme risk, configuration, quality & communication management strategies in line with Necas's requirements.
    • Manage the development of the programme scope/configuration, cost, schedule, risk, human resource, procurement, quality and, stakeholder and communication management plans (Programme Plan).
    • Manage the development of the programme Scope, Cost and Schedule Baselines.
    • Identify and analyse programme risks and develop risk response strategies as well as cost, schedule and scope implications of the response strategies. Manage the risk register.
    • Present scope, cost and schedule baseline to Programme Board for Acceptance.
    • Develop and manage the programme procurement plan.
    • Provide the necessary oversight during contract negotiation and execution.
    • Manage all identified stakeholders.
    • Manage the delivery of the programme in line with scope (and quality), cost, schedule and time baseline.
    • Prepare Highlight Reports for (and escalate issues to) the Programme Board where necessary.
    • Manage the close-out of the programme and prepare close out reports.
    • Ensure compliance to all Necas's SHEQ-INS requirement for all programs and project.
    • Identify and interpret applicable SHEQ-INS requirements in order to develop and implement relevant and effective systems to implement throughout all Programme lifecycle within the Nuclear Fuel Cycle group.
    • Advise and manage the implementation of the Quality Management System and configuration management within the Nuclear Engineering Programme.
    • Oversee the overall spending on the Programme and ensure that all costs and finances are within the prescribed parameters.
    • Manage expenditure in line with approved parameters.
    • Report expenses and variances when required to ensure adherence to the approved budget.
    • Manage cost reporting in accordance with corporate requirements (SHEQ-INS-0800).
    • Develop a team that will deliver the Programme against set objectives, in line with EE requirements;
    • Ensure that all project managers are trained, skilled and that their expertise are optimally applied;
    • Ensure a positive and productive working environment with healthy staff morale; and Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise Project managers  and contactors to ensure accountability.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Education:

    • Relevant technical qualification degree BSc or B-Tech  Engineering
    • Project Management Certificate (PMP, PRINCE2) will be an advantage.

    Experience: 

    • 2 - 3 years proven track record of successful delivery of multi-disciplinary programme management.

    Senior Project Manager

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Ensure all goals and requirements (technical specifications; user requirements specifications are in place before any project initiation.
    • Develop project controls to ensure successful execution of projects within a multi discipline environment.
    • Plan implementation of any project within the programme framework.
    • Analyse programme management requirements and objectives.
    • Formulate projects to reach programme objectives.
    • Prioritise formulated project.
    • Compile Budget for approval by the executive sponsor.
    • Prepare resource plan in accordance with the project scope.

    • Preparation of appropriate contracts in support of the supply chain management process.
    • Review of contract when required and issuance of contract amendment when applicable.
    • Contract implementation management in line with contract terms and conditions.
    • Project progress:
    • Ensure that project objectives (Quality, schedule, scope and cost) are met.
    • Reporting & Communication:
    • Progress reports as agreed with projects’ executive sponsor and project boards,
    • Ensure all stakeholders are kept abreast of all relevant information.
    • Oversee the overall spending on the project and ensure that project costs and project finances are within the prescribed parameters.
    • Management of the expenditure in line with approved parameters.
    • Reporting of expenses and variances when required to ensure adherence to the approved budget.
    • Ensure compliance to all Necsa SHEQ-INS requirement for all programs and project.
    • Identify and interpret applicable SHEQ-INS requirements in order to develop and implement relevant and effective systems to implement throughout all project lifecycle.
    • Advise and manage the implementation of the Quality Management System and configuration management within the projects/programmes.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • BSc, B-Tech Eng.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate from Project Management Institute under section B or C requirements will be added advantages.
    • Five (5) years’ experience in the management of multi-disciplinary projects.

    Operator /Shift Panel Operator x 2

    Key Performance Areas

    Plant Operations/Manufacturing

    • Operates daily operational tasks in the fluorination plant to ensure maximum output and continuous operation.
    • Operate equipment and support processes in accordance with approved work instructions, safety protocols, and management guidelines.
    • Perform plant readings, record data, and complete operational checklists accurately and on time.

    Material Handling

    • Verify correct products and samples on racks before processing; ensure they match operational requirements.
    • Assist in the packing and unpacking of racks in collaboration with the Supervisor, ensuring no disruption to production.
    • Check all products for burn marks or discoloration and report any defects.
    • Participate in the loading and off-loading of trucks, coordinating with the Supervisor to ensure minimal disruption to plant operations.

    Equipment and Process Maintenance

    • Ensure reactors are thoroughly cleaned and free of contamination before initiating the fluorination process.
    • Report any equipment faults or defects to senior personnel for timely maintenance or repair.

    Compliance with SHEQ requirements

    • Adhere to company SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality) standards, including wearing PPE correctly at all times.
    • Ensure PPE is in good condition, and that specialized PPE is stored according to procedures.
    • Conduct at least one job observation monthly on work instructions and submit findings.
    • Participate in the review and update of work instructions in collaboration with senior team members.
    • Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the shift to ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
    • Report sub-standard equipment, unsafe practices, or safety issues immediately to the relevant personnel.
    • Ensure all mandatory/statutory training is completed and up to date.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    Minimum Qualification Requirements:

    • National Certificate/ Grade 12 / Standard 10/ Trade certificate or equivalent to (NQF 4) with mathematics subject;
    • Valid Forklift license will be an added advantage
    • Valid Overhead Crane license will be an added advantage.

    Minimum Experience:

    • A minimum of 2 years in a 24-hour chemical plant operations
    • Experience in plant operations will be advantageous.
