    Product Specialist - S4

    The Role
    As a Product Specialist you will be responsible for providing quality technical support and for developing the technical competencies of the customer and internal personnel.
    The role is product focused and concentrates on providing guidance and advice on the implementation and strategies for the product range. Product specifications, selection and its application lie with this role

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and organize product training for sales and service personnel for the respective products
    • Develops and recommends procedures and methods, and prepares technical reports and documentation.
    • Performs technical evaluations of events to determine root cause; recommends corrective action.
    • Monitors instruments and equipment and collects operating data including calibration, inspection, testing and repair activities to assist in making on-line adjustments to instruments, equipment or products.
    • Analyzes and resolves malfunctions and deviations of instruments and control systems to identify and resolve problems.
    • Conducts analyses and prepares reports using metrics from salvage tracking, trending, reporting and root cause analyses.
    • Maintains process designs to optimize process and facility use while conforming to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
    • Represent Sandvik fleet, sharing knowledge especially on Solo long hole drill rigs, bolters, LHD's and MC 350, 430 and 470. The preferred candidate must have vast experience in above mentioned equipment, must be familiar with the new Sandvik i equipment product version (electrical /CAN Bus / electronics is essential. Also the requirement is to have excellent communication skills, should lead by example, passion to maintaining equipment, working according to Sandvik standard & procedures.

    Profile Required

    • Grade 12 / N3 Technical Qualification / Equivalent Qualification
    • Mechanical or electrical trade qualification
    • Mc machine range experience and advance computer literacy
    • English proficiency
    • Relevant mechanised mining experience (5 years)
    • Underground/surface mining environment
    • Maintenance of earthmoving equipment in mining/ Underground experience
    • Mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment maintenance competence in at least 2 of the following areas:
    • Basic 5 module LHD’s and CM
    • Basic electronic systems
    • Basic LV electric systems
    • Mechanical equipment
    • Hydraulic systems
    • Video display systems
    • Advanced electrical systems (low current relays, electronic timers, electrical/electronic overloads and protection devices, solenoids, actuators, proximity devices etc.)
    • Experience in CANbus systems will be an advantage
    • Basic knowledge of software
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Full physical & medical certificate to work in mining environment

    Field Service Specialist - S4

    The Role

    Get customer satisfaction by installing, repairing, inspecting and commissioning service, considering economical and other aspects. Advanced problem solving by using of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately in different kinds of situations.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Advanced repairs and inspections of products and equipment of different kind at customer site or own premises.
    • Report and document results after above actions.
    • Responsible for plan, conduct and maintain tools and equipment for service work.
    • Deep knowledge of the tasks, tools and procedures associated with providing technical support to the sales team and customers.
    • Support the customer’s product/equipment/processes by suggesting possible improvements to more advanced technical solutions and products.
    • Take into consideration energy efficiency, environmental impact and maintenance costs when giving customer support.
    • Provide advanced technical support and advice to the sales team.
    • Ability to produce positive results in sales-client interventions.
    • Guide and train colleagues in service methods and tools.
    • Share own knowledge to enable colleagues to expand their knowledge.

    Profile Required

    Contract Administrator - S2

    The Role:

    To coordinate and ensure effective operation, effective HR administration, scheduled maintenance and customer relation on all Over the Counter (OTC) and Cost Per Metre (CPM) contracts.

    This service is rendered to Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology clients (internal and external) on and off mine site according to Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology and Contract specifications and requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ordering and sourcing OTC stock
    • Request orders on all out sourced and refurbished stock and follow up with suppliers
    • Perform reconciliation of stock on allocated stockrooms
    • Monitor indicators related to inventory (forecast accuracy, fill rate and OSMI)
    • Monitor and control monthly departmental expenditure
    • Coordinate all departmental administrative activities such as capturing and reporting rock tools usage by the mine, compiling overtime sheets for sign off by the manager on a monthly basis, capturing safety hazards and/or incidents on the system etc
    • Maintain and update onsite personnel records accordingly
    • Provide back up support for team members on all business activities

    Your Profile:

    • Grade 12 / Equivalent qualification
    • Relevant post matric qualification will be an added advantage
    • At least 2 years’ experience in office administration
    • Computer literacy ability to work with Excel spreadsheets, graphical presentations and charts
    • English proficiency
