    • Execute general cleaning functions of the yard, bins, containers, silo, building and bunkers.
    • Contact spraying for pest control in silo bins, machines and buildings.
    • Assist with bin and storage fumigation.
    • Bagging, storage and monitor graded screenings.
    • Loading and off-loading of grain (bulk and bags).
    • Assist with maintenance work.

    Requirements

    • No experience required.
    • Grade 10 (Candidates with a National Senior Certificate will receive preference)

    Civil Engineer

    Responsibilities:

    Analysis, design and procurement:

    • Gather all relevant site and problem statement information to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the project at hand.
    • Liaise with other disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Operations).
    • Analyse and design relevant and cost-effective solutions.
    • Prepare design and procurement information.
    • Manage procurement process and acquire client approval through works submissions.
    • Manage or oversee Civil Technologists, drafter, clerk of works and other team members in executing required works described above.
    • Research and development regarding relevant technologies and applications.

    Project Execution and Management:

    • Devise project execution plan.
    • Kick-off meetings with all relevant parties and site documentation.

    Project Close-Out and As-Build:

    • Construction QA and inspections with client and contractor with all relevant documentation.

    Maintenance Management:

    • Conduct conditions assessments and structural audits.
    • Manage the inspections done by Civil technical personnel.

    • Oversee the procurement and appointment process for maintenance contractors.
    • Devise, acquire approval and implement maintenance policies for civil infrastructure.

    Management of Civil Discipline:

    • Manage Civil Discipline as Civil Engineering Discipline Lead.

    • Manage client relations.
    • Devise short and long-term plans on maintenance and capital expenditure on all relevant civil infrastructure.
    • Liaise and engage with other disciplines and grow the maturity of the Engineering and Property Assets (EPA) Unit.
    • Improvement of Unit procedures, processes and systems.

    Requirements:

    • B.Eng in Civil Engineering.
    • At least 4 - 5 years’ experience working as a Civil Engineer.
    • Experience in structural engineering is preferred. Experience in agricultural or related industries, is desirable.
    • In-depth understanding of civil engineering principles.
    • Project management principles and best practice.

    Job Card Clerk (Equipment)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Effective Processing of Job Cards:

    • Generate job cards for agricultural equipment scheduled for servicing or repairs, ensuring accurate information is included.
    • Initiate job cards per the Workshop Manager's directives, including member cards, claims, and fleet maintenance records.
    • Oversee repair tasks by technicians, meticulously documenting activities for tracking and reporting.
    • Input equipment details, customer information, and maintenance records into the database.
    • Log hours worked, including kilometres, travel time, and labour hours, into the job card system.
    • Continuously update job cards to reflect changes in equipment status, customer requests, or technician notes.
    • Facilitate communication between technicians and service managers, providing clear and complete job card information.
    • Act as a liaison between customers and technicians to clarify instructions or gather additional details when necessary.
    • Verify that all tasks are completed before closing job cards and address any discrepancies.
    • Maintain communication with customers to update them on equipment status, estimated completion times, and any additional service requirements.
    • Ensure job card processes comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
    • Suggest and implement improvements to enhance job card efficiency.

    Administrative Task Execution:

    • Generate reports on completed jobs, outstanding tasks, and service histories.
    • Check and work through various reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Log and manage claim reports, ensuring proper distribution to relevant stakeholders.
    • Archive and store job cards and related documents for easy access.
    • Maintain accurate filing systems to comply with record-keeping standards.
    • Assist with inventory records related to equipment parts and materials.
    • Regularly update job card and claims registers with accurate information.
    • Assist with ad hoc administrative tasks and handle inquiries effectively.

    Requirements

    • National Senior Certificate
    • Code 8 driver’s license
    • 1-2 years of administrative experience (agricultural equipment industry preferred)
    • Basic knowledge of agricultural equipment and maintenance

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinate intake, storage and dispatching of grain.
    • Grading of grain according to statutory requirements.
    • Ensure correct offloading and quality of grain.
    • Oversee the loading of grain and sample taking process.
    • Perform inspections to maintain adherence to statutory requirements.

    • Fumigation
    • Knowledge of aeration
    • Understanding of grain marketing and management.
    • Excellent negotiation and conflict management skills.
